I used to work as a Security Guard at a hotel he used to visit in Tampa all the time, and as i was doing a foot patrol on one of the hotel floors, i look down the hall and i see this 7 foot tall man walking down the hall toward me, and as he gets closer, i realize its the Undertaker, so i come to a dead stop and say, Mr. Calaway, i watched you on TV last night and its an honor to meet you in person. he looked at me and said, Hey man, that means so much to me. My childhood was spent watching this man wrestle. He was my superhero without a cape... absolutely adore the undertaker. Thanks taker for making my childhood great!
Amazing to really see the man behind the phenom. It is so rare to catch a glimpse of this guy outside of WWE. Talk about protecting the kayfabe and mystique of this character for 28 years.
Aside from all the “you know’s” in this interview (haha) I’m so amazed by how humble and down to earth he is as a person. You don’t really see many interviews with him, and while I’ve always loved him throughout the WWE, I never really saw him outside of the serious character he plays - clearly an indication of how much of a fantastic performer he truly is. However seeing him like this was on a whole different level. Amazing interview, Mark you’re a legend mate. Cheers from Melbourne, Australia. Was truly an honour to get to watch you perform live in person at SSD this year.
Yeah. A tad higher. He sounds young. Even his early USWA character kinda sound like his undertaker gimmick. I thought his Off The RecoRd interview was almost out of character but now I realize that wasn't the case.
Thank You Undertaker, for all those unforgettable glorious years of my childhood to this day. You will always be the greatest that has ever stepped into a WWE ring.
I've noticed this out of a lot of famous people over the years.....Lennon & McCartney said "Y'know" a lot.....Allen Iverson was a guy who could hardly form a sentence without it featuring "Y'know"
Well I mean, Taker is one of the greatest of all time y'know. He deserves the Hall of Fame as much as anyone and a great biography as much as anyone, y'know. Sorry, I can't help it lol. It's too funny. It's great to hear him out of character though. Awesome interview!
Clearly Mark doesn’t do too many real (not wwe) interviews. so the whole “you know” thing is forgivable. Plus I understood what he was saying. I’m sure he’s a better spoken person outside the cameras.
the "you know" thing is pretty similar to the younger generation of today that says "like" a million times. It's a figure of speech brains use to organize their thoughts while speaking. It sounds improper or whatever but it's just how most people speak. I think Taker and Kurt Cobain were born around the same time. If you listen to a lot of Cobain interviews, he says "you know" just as much as Taker does. I think it's probably a generational thing.
This is the first time I’ve seen “The Undertaker” out of character, it was so cool hearing him talk about the industry, I’m an even bigger fan now! @6:38 he says “it’s not about the moves, it really isn’t... it’s about being able to evoke emotion”. So true. Up until the 80’s, it was all about gimmicks and trade mark moves. But ironically, it became increasingly clear that wrestling wasn’t going to be enough to take wrestling into the 21st century. When the WWF relied primarily on special moves as the primary effect to entertain people, I’d watch if it happened to be on TV when i was channel surfing. At that time, there were really only 2 wrestlers who had gimmicks that I really wanted to see: Jake “The Snake” Roberts who dumped a live boa constrictor into the ring, and Brutus the “Barber” Beefcake who cut the loser’s hair. But once they started evoking emotions by way of incorporating a story line, I actually made an effort to tune in to every episode just so I could keep up with the drama. It’s the same way daytime soaps stay on the air for 20, 30 years!
2018 While watching this video I found undertaker saying “ you know " I knew there would be jokes in the comment section and found 98% comments only 'bout his “ You know " 😂😂
Man, this is so weird. The higher pitch in his voice, the laid back and friendly demeanour...it's really weird seeing Taker truly out of character. This is an awesome interview and I hope he does more (Austin's podcast could be great with him as a guess) because he's the one guy you never get to see have his brain picked about the business. Even Vince has done stuff from time to time.

IrishPotato86 yeah he is. Loved watching the video of him talking to a kid fan and the father in the locker room or backstage.
IrishPotato86 you know your lying
IrishPotato86 you should have requested for a Last ride or some Choke slam
Don't make fun of his real voice catch phrase " you know ". If undertaker stands near you, Yo gonna pee your pants.
It's a miracle that the Undertaker never said "you know" all these years while in character.. must have been so hard for him
criticalmass500 rigt he must be really good at his job
criticalmass500 you know
Yes, he did with Vince, while feuding with Shane.
"You know...you know

Imagine a conversation between him and Shawn! Infinite you know loop
He hasn't done a lot of sit down interviews, so it's probably what he does when he's nervous.
Billy Gunn: "OHHH YOU DIDN'T KNOW?"
Taker: "You know."

I'd love to hear Dwayne Johnson talk about The Rock, and why he made him speak in third person haha

Hearing his real voice compared to his "Undertaker" voice is completely mind blowing!
Chris Clow But he talked like this in his American Badass/ Big Evil Persona and Video Games
Is it?

Andrew Williams He almost sounds like Jerry Lawler
Yeah. A tad higher. He sounds young. Even his early USWA character kinda sound like his undertaker gimmick. I thought his Off The RecoRd interview was almost out of character but now I realize that wasn't the case.
Facts
“triple h at super show YA KNOW you will YA KNOW rest in YA KNOW”
Triple H: "Ya Nose?"
Undertaker: "I know."
OMG. 156 "you know" in this video!
Sure?
Watching for 10 min and I'd counted at least 70...
Yefferson Blanco Olivar maybe he is a valley girl on the inside, you know.
Thank You Undertaker, for all those unforgettable glorious years of my childhood to this day. You will always be the greatest that has ever stepped into a WWE ring.
Thats For Dam Sure
AJsVIEW ya know
From Death Valley weighing 299 pounds The "Ya Know" Undertaker !!!
Derp 007 😂😂😂
Its funny how he never said you know even once as the deadman. Its amazing too.
Once you hear it you can't unhear it!!
scott steiner vs. Taker ..the "you know" match
Lol, I clocked that too. Still ah legend
The Mark Calaway drinking game. Take a shot every time he says: "you know", and I am so drunk right now. 😆😆😆😆
therealerv I’d be dead with alcohol poisoning
You would die from alcohol poisoning 5 minutes in
Shawn Michaels could give him a run for his money on the use of you knows during an interview.
Don't!
You will rest ...in...Peace.....
therealerv I was just thinking this lol
Never clicked and liked so fast.
So awesome how he thinks so highly of his fellow wrestlers. What a true hero.
You know 159 times
Phenom in you know
really lol😂😂
😂😂 Shawn Michaels does the same exact thing
At least its not "MY MAN". LOL
I've noticed this out of a lot of famous people over the years.....Lennon & McCartney said "Y'know" a lot.....Allen Iverson was a guy who could hardly form a sentence without it featuring "Y'know"
So You Know!!! 😅😅😅
I'm ready for the HOF speech, and his biography!
Most importantly is to have a counter for the speech, you know
bigmarcus 04 me too you know!
you know, I am too
Propably after his HOF speech he would close the door like the coffin thing and HOF for the rest wrestlers would RIP........
Well I mean, Taker is one of the greatest of all time y'know. He deserves the Hall of Fame as much as anyone and a great biography as much as anyone, y'know. Sorry, I can't help it lol. It's too funny. It's great to hear him out of character though. Awesome interview!
Saying “You know” is a southern thing, we all say it all the time down here.
You forgot to say it at the end, you know.
I was told in a job interview "you know" was a East coast thing. I kept saying it because I was nervous.
That must explain why Shawn says that a lot to
TealerGaming Channel I say right a lot
Example: "So the new wrestling game right?"
I did not know that, you know?
I dont want to imagine wwe without undertaker.
Clearly Mark doesn’t do too many real (not wwe) interviews. so the whole “you know” thing is forgivable. Plus I understood what he was saying. I’m sure he’s a better spoken person outside the cameras.
iRenz0 yeah the thing that’s unforgivable is Russo saying bro every 10 words
the "you know" thing is pretty similar to the younger generation of today that says "like" a million times.
This is so awesome. I could listen to him talk for hours. I bet Mark has crazy stories.
I know...
His streak was 21 and y’know
ya.. :/

That's a good one you know! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Quick Tech Reviews 😂😂😂😂😂
Can u translate ur comment in spanish?

Hi, I'm speaking from the grave.
You ruined my experience now all I'm focusing is "you know"
It works! Omg it works! Finally I'm drunk as hell.
Anyone else love Badass taker??
The best one 2000 _2003
His voice sounds so different than his character voice, its awesome! The undertaker is freaking iconic! 👍👍☠☠
I can't focus on the interview from all these "You know" jokes, lmao.
yes 😂😂😂 after reading all this comments all your focusing is on you know
Same
So true 😂
Love this, love him! Most amazing wrestler of all time! And still so handsome 😍😍😍😘🙌🏾
Now we know why he doesn't do many interviews ... you know

Very rare for undertaker to do interviews
Austin talked about getting Taker for his podcast, Two Texans talking one on one is always great.
6:35 real talk right here, I also see it in this way
This is really a different undertaker I have ever seen who is mimicry of Vince and hulk hogan. So much respect from India Sir.
good to see this and get a quick but rare glimpse into the man behind the undertaker thankyou to Ed Young for uploading it
Mark was always one of my favorite dudes...smart, great worker, one of the most fun guys to watch
You know ;)
Undertaker not Mark
Unless you know someone personally dont call them their first name and you just come across as a mark who knows all wrestlers names
mongo mongo glad you said that, always pisses me off when people use a wrestlers real name when they don’t know them
Can you handle the truth?
You know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know yo know you know you know you know you know.
Gotta love The UnderTaker 😂🔥🔥🔥❤
Vince must have, you know, been on him on a daily basis, to, you know, not say you know constantly during his promos, you know?

Would have. It's never "would of."
The interview is such a passionate fan. You could see he loved every second of it.
Taker : You know?
Pastor : Yes, I know.
Taker : What do you know?
