My first Mario Kart game. I thought this level was almost impossible. Then I learned to just let go of the speed button when needed. No really, that was all I needed.
The only time I let go of the accelerator is whenever it is an above 150cc race as it is legit required to let go of the acceleration as you would just drift off the map most of the time.

Funny how I have this many good memories of the game despite not being able to sit down and enjoy the game itself. I really like the soundtrack Nintendo pulled up on this one. Thing is, compared to Double Dash (for example), I like MKW's soundtrack more but MKDD's gameplay more.

this song is great to me because of the mixing of the major and minor keys. this song is in the d major scale, which goes, d, e, f#, g, a, b, c#, but this song sometimes uses the f note, which isn't in this scale, however it is in d minor, so it gives off a really confident and nostalgic feel, which i feel is missing from many game music nowadays. it's a great song
I mean the natural F makes my think this song is in Dorian mode which has this cool effect to have the 6th degree be natural but the 3rd and 7th to be flat making it between major and minor

If you listen closely, you'll hear a familiar melody: Good Egg Galaxy's theme from Super Mario Galaxy! The Wii is a great era for Nintendo, probably the Golden Era for me since I've been playing it for pretty much my whole life! The motion controls they added made gaming more fluent and easier!

Well I hope that Wii’s Rainbow Road will be added as one of Wave 6’s courses either in Acorn Cup or Spiny Cup since Wave 5 has already been announced for Feather and Cherry Cup but I already know it’s not part of either those 2 cups that will be ready in the next 4 days. So……. I got my own Nintendo Wii that came bundled with Mario Kart Wii for my birthday on 2008 when I was eight years old. This level was my favorite as a kid and sounds so nostalgic!
