You should give a listen to the new Ophidian I album, 'Desolate'. Possibly the best tech death album I've heard in the last decade! Check out "Diamonds" or "Wither on the Vine" if you have a moment :)
When you have 2 lead guitarists that are just as good as one another the possibilities are endless 😁. Having a filthy bassist and drummer help's a ton as well...
Had a theory, but thought never would find another guy that feels the same. Some pieces of songs of metal take me to think about video games that I love. Maybe is that the reason we love metal? Glad to see another man Thinking as I do
@@josemacarrillo9727 not to burst anybody's bubble but I believe video game music is more pervasive than we think. You already have about like three generations that grew up with the same types of games with the most popular ones having their own sound aesthetic. The type of sophistication working with daws, scores, and MIDI all lend itself to video game composing so it's not dissimilar to the production of modern metal music. Specifically the Capcom snes days in this particular case. That Capcom X-Men game was fire for sure 🔥
So amazing. You never know if a band with a powerful album like the last one will fizzle out, go a different direction, do what's trendy, or be like this and just blow everything else like it out of the water. (I already pre-ordered 2 of the 3 limited vinyl colors)
Holy shit this is my new favorite thing. Thank you First Fragment for filling the empty music void in my life. This is exactly what I needed. Chuck would be so proud of you guys!
Might be the best metal video ever to showcase the artistry og technical metal and the fact that one of the members assembles Devin Townsend. I'm pre-ordering 🙏🤘🇩🇰
Been listening to these guys for quite a while seen them live a few years back with obscura and hearing gula live was just mesmerising, the little catchy beats they add are just fantastic definitely top 4 bands of mine
First Fragment falls into the category of 'I don't know what it is, but I like it a lot!' Gloire Eternelle is the first CD/Album I have listened to from them and I think it is Brilliant. Unique, and Extremely Cool. Highly recommended Canadian Technical Death Band. Respect.
OK so I commented in a discussion on a Bradley Hall community post on TH-cam about death metal. I basically said that anything metal with decent guitar solos floats my boat. Someone recommended First Fragment in reply. So I did a search on TH-cam and this is the one I chose to click on. I'm laughing because this is pretty much instant gratification from the opening scene in the video. 🤣 Brilliant! 👏👏👏🎸🎼🎵🎶
We need a counter like when the "Time Does Not Heal" tape came out. "9 songs, 67 minutes, 246 riffs!", but include arpeggios, solos, Forest being Forest.
As a fan of Dark Angel, I agree and I think I'm gonna include this inside the booklet of the cassette version of the First Fragment record just as a tribute to them lol
If this is the first fragment imagine the second
genius hahahahaha
And the third one after that.
The first is always the winner! 💎
Imagine what it broke off of
This is the greatest comment I've ever read
Great song, but can someone please pick up those pillars in the background? Thx.
lol, i love your channel and archspire
I see 4 levels of 'holy shit' on these solos..🤘😁
LOL
You know... I wouldn't be surprised if Dean could play this.
Please do first frag been waiting for an eternity :(
Careful. Phil you're gonna leave the rest of the Canadian Tech Death scene without original solos to write.
more like the genre as a whole he could re wrote solely. An anthology of solos for ages to come.

Me: lots of gratuitous guitar solos. Eargasm
Здесь рявканье не нужно. Музыка настолько хорошо сбалансирована, что собака не нужна))

So this is what happens when you lock these guys up during a pandemic.

The masters! Probably the sickest/most legendary solo tradeoffs I've ever heard.
I know, right? Sooo clean.
@@kevinberstler Well yes, but In my humble opinion, there is this instance: Mordêtre et Dénaissance. Quite a dialog between the guitar soloists.
The sickest trade offs I've ever heard for sure man.
Thats almost impossible to argue with, right? Lol I mean its clearly the sickest thing ever written.
Cacophony-like, simply AMAZING
Absolute gods. Their mastery of their instruments is just on an entirely different level.
Sick riffing!

Best baroque swing since Jethro Tull's take on Bach's Bouree!
Can't wait for the album, this is eternally glorious indeed.
I think J.S. Bach would approve.
The best in the game, especially as a guitarist and hearing those Joey Tafolla & Vinnie Moore vibes blended in so tastefully.
19 solos in a song is not enough, we want more!!!!!
Legend says the solo still continues
This band has been in a continuous solo since the first album
forest's fletless bass is literally badass!
The fact that y’all are fitting a bass solo in there too is 🤯
