At the beginning, when the boys disappear in a blink and leave Sunoo alone to sing…the same thing happens in the opening scene in Given-Taken. The end scene is reminiscent of the princes looking up at Princess Selene in Drunk-Dazed. So many overlaps to other MVs. I love love LOVE this masterpiece of gorgeousness. We love you too!

There's a theory that Jake is villain here that's why he's the only members wear the black suit till the end... Ni-Ki and Jake discussing about their plan to Sunoo as sacrifice but maybe Ni-Ki against what Jake wants... That's why there's a scene Jake and Ni-Ki are in table... Maybe Jake betrayed Ni-Ki and tied him because Ni-Ki wants to protect Sunoo... Maybe the heart and wings being sacrificed is from Sunoo...
The places where they are in the mv is in Heaven, Purgatory, and Hell... I read that theory on Twitter 😅

okay my theory as well as a lot of others, VERY LONG so read if you want!
i think enha is in “Elysium”, this is where gods sent humans after giving immortality to them. but, there are two realms, one is the Isles of the Blessed, and the other is the subterranean Elysian Fields - this is where they are, because the River Lethe is here. Lethe is one of the 5 rivers of the underworld and Lethe was also the name of the Greek spirit of forgetfulness and oblivion, people who touched the water would receive the curse of forgetfulness. but on the other hand, some would purposefully touch it to forget their mortal lives. we see jungwon touch the river at one point, what is he trying to forget?
you can only enter the isle of the blessed through reincarnation, or if you have the favor of the gods. it seems sunoo may have been favored by the gods and jake was trying to use him to get there so they took his wings, and heart. as you can see by jake dragging sunoo's wings/placing his heart on the pedestal. what he didn't know was that sunoo's heart was already stained, so he wasn't worthy anymore to begin with, and when he took it, it turned completely black. so, jakes sacrifice (sunoo) wasn't enough.
now ni-ki could've either been trying to help jake, or protect sunoo, it is hard to tell. it seems he was tied up so he couldn't do something- either help jake, or save sunoo. but, as i said before sunoo's heart was already stained, which led to him becoming a fallen angel and ended up with them in the elysian fields. sunoo has always seemed to know too much, a a little bit suspicious. i have always had this theory that sunoo and jake are at odds but the others (minus ni-ki) are oblivious to it.
jay is interesting because he seems to be battling with himself, you can see in the scene where he is crawling up the stairs, there is another jay already up there. the battle between his blessed and cursed self. im not entirely sure about anything related to sunghoon/heeseung.
there are many other theories as well sort of similar to this having to do with multiple other mythology stories but i believe in this one the most because i have always related enha's lore in part back to homer's the odyssey. enha's "dimension:dilemma" album came in three versions: scylla, odysseus, and charybdis. scylla is a supernatural female creature, with 12 feet and six heads on long snaky necks. charybdis (a very dangerous whirlpool) is her counterpart. in the odyssey, odysseus had to pass both of these creatures on his journey.
this is obvs just a theory, but i'm loving trying to theorize about this bc i grew up being a huge greek mythology nerd, and i have always loved the percy jackson series haha

I personally don't mind the pauses I love to hear your commentary!!! This mv is probably my new favorite mv of theirs I really love all the imagery it really adds to their world building and helps mold their storyline so excited to see the performance of this love this as always ❤❤
Thank you 🫂!! Most people don't mind the pausing but there are still a lot of people that prefer it without. Which is fine.. we just don't operate that way 😆!! This MV is gorgeous.. I think it might be a favorite of ours as well. I do like how much more apparent the storyline seems to be in this one. It's nice to have so much to think about all at once 😆😆
SUNOO is the symbol of the 'Sacrifice' given he's the only one described with wings and the darkening heart inside his chest
the 4 boys (jake, jay, ni-ki, heeseung) want to sacrifice his wing and heart
- the choreo of the 4 of them dragging sunoo towards to altar
- jay and jake have sunoo's black heart
- yunki with sunoo's heart on their table
- ni-ki is freed right after he has sunoo's wing (it could be he's threatened and had no other choice)
- jake dragging sunoo's wing and heart to the altar
- heeseung throwing away his "heart-wing" necklace
and sunghoon & jungwon seem neutral/grieving about the sacrifice?
We didn't even connect the fact that the wing was being passed around. That would make sense since we were only seeing one halfway through the MV and Sunoo looked like he was holding on to the remaining wing as much as possible!
The visuals, vocals, outfits, setting, ambiance, and choreography of this mv is just immaculate ❤️🤍🖤🧛🦇
you did a wonderful job. I can't count the times I have watched this and I see something different each time, I want to point out the dark Jay crawling up the stairs to the Jay dressed in white. Each of them has a moment of pain , of giving up, of the darkness taking over. The end while back in a lighter place does not feel light at all. It's as if they are accepting their fate. They are standing in front of the altar ( is this the blood alter place of power) just like in "fever" and also in "One in a Billion". Smarter people then me will have better theories but the feel is so tragic and sad. I can't help but wonder if on another level this mirrors what each has to give up when becoming Idols. They were so young at the start of the journey and wanted it all so much. They love what they do but look at all they have given up. People judge them and find fault, they have talked about not being able to just go out and walk around freely. They are young and growing up in an idol world that does not allow them to make mistakes. Each sounds so mature now but a part of me is saddened at their loss of their innocence and freedom of youth,
The difference in the ending is definitely a good point to make. We did noticed they were turned around at the end which is the only time (I think) they all fully had their backs to the camera together. We've seen a few amazing theories and it's amazing to see what some engenes can connect.

This MV is stunning! I am in awe 😮 👏🏼I usually don’t go too deep into the lore aspect of MVs because it goes over my head most of the time but this one I felt like I could grasp haha
Even if you weren't able to grasp anything in this MV it's so much fun to just .. experience 🤣But yeah I do feel like a lot of the themes for this MV do come across pretty strong with this one!

I think Sunoo was the sacrifice, and Niki (maybe heeseung too) was against it, which is why Niki was locked up. Also, I think the supper thing, was Niki maybe discussing with Jake not to go through with the sacrifice. I think maybe Jakes the one who wants to take over everything, because he has sunoos wings and his heart. About the others members, I don’t have a clue what was going on with them.
i think sunghoon and jungwon was against the sacrifice which is why it seems they are grieving

here's my theory;
theory 1: Enhypen is connected with le sserafim (girl group) because of so much similarities in their mvs, and maybe in the song “ Unforgiven ” by Le sserafim, Enhypen might be the ‘ unforgiven boys ' considering the part that Sunoo was doing the crawling thing at that one part which le sserafim also had in their choreo. There's also the part where they zoomed in the heart, le sserafim also had that part, and also there's this part where le sserafim also had wings.
theory 2: Sunoo is the sacrifice and Ni-ki is trying to protect him, unfortunately they caught ni-ki and in order to save him he ( Sunoo ) have to sacrifice himself, Jake might be the villain here, He took Sunoo's wings and heart ( the sacrifice ? ), and then Ni-ki escaped. And at the beginning (?) they were dragging Sunoo as if they're trying to bring him somewhere but Sunoo doesn't want to that's why in one part of the choreo he was crawling back so he wouldn't go with them.
There's also things I noticed;
1: The ending where they were looking up to something, its similar to the Fever one where they were looking up to a girl (?).
2: at the beginning, The other members disappeared so Sunoo could sing, it's similar to Given-Taken mv, where they left so Sunoo could sing.
3: Its also the same where Ni-ki is tied up and trying to escape.

You were so not alone in (1) not wanting to pause it and watch it all and take it in all at once and (2) njust wanting to watch it again and again to see EVERYTHING. This MV got me on a chokehold and had me rewatching it for 2 hours straight (with the needed filler in between each rewatch of course) so.... Yeah. This is my new favorite MV after Fever. It is gorgeous, it is (literally and figuratively) heavenly, it gave me life, and most importantly, we had another main character Sunoo MV!! As always, loved your reaction!! Hope to see your reaction to their live performance next!!

Ive heard ao so many theories about this m/v. Ive heard that Ni-Ki is some kind of guardian angel to Sunoo and thats why towards the end hes tied up because they're trying to sacrifice Sunoo (the wings would show sunoo) and Ni-Ki would try to stop them with him being his guardian angel and i think Ni-Ki had those black feathers and looking at them in a way thats sad and like hes upset that the feathers were black. I think theres an aspect with Jake as well because he had the black heart.
In the dinner with Ni-Ki and jake makes it seem like they're having some kind of serious conversation and the dark look on Jake's face in the very beginning when he had his sleeves in the water makes it seem like its not a very friendly conversation. And theres a moment after the dinner scene when it looks like the others are controlling Sunoo and theres something with the lights because they're still in the 'heaven' area but the lights are red and the atmosphere is dark like they're in hell.
Theres something with Heeseung because hes in the dark room with a single open window and to me theres a moment where he looks like he wants to get out and leave. He looks upset.

they actually mentioned and showed the river lethe, which exists in the underworld and is described as milky white water that erases memory. the mv referenced it multiple times in the video!
They're fallen angels. I've looked and researched and found no credible sources that lists water from the River Lethe as being "milky white." There are no descriptions of its color, just that it causes amnesia and forgetfulness to those who drink it and that could either be a blessing or a curse depending on the nature of the person's soul.

You did good, your findings make sense tho. But many engenes says that sunoo was the sacrifice and jake wants to take over everything. I also think Ni-ki, heeseung and sunghoon was against to it and locked up but Ni-ki tries to save sunoo. Jay and jungwon, I still dont have an idea haha.
The theories are so interesting! We can see so much more that we missed the first 2 times around now... the story through this MV is a lot more apparent than we realized haha

These past days has been crazy for me because of the theories that our co-engenes has been drawing. The only thing I contribute in this fandom is streaming 😭 Btw other engenes keeps mentioning that the Unforgiven Mv of le sserafim is somewhat related to this and ngl I think so too.
