She wants to be popular and work and, well, get rich essentially (as anyone with that opportunity would), but to achieve that, record producers strip her songs of anything technical or interesting. Live, I think she sings and plays how she wants to because people actually appreciate that in a live setting. But it wouldn't work in clubs, it wouldn't work on the radio where everything has to be broad. It's sad kind of because she's a skilled singer and her record is childish and boring -- even though the songs aren't. They're just produced that way.

Bought the EPs. Then I heard her music on the radio & was so happy for her because she finally made it. I wasn't crazy about her single. But I bought the album anyway. Once again I wanted to support her. Because she's such a talent. But truly I don't even really listen to that album. Theres very few I listen to. Most are stripped down & her vibe. One is with Ed, the other is live & another is a new bonus track. I like should've been us, but the stripped version she does live. Thats about it.
