After getting to know Ornithopter, I think i've finally come close to maximizing its performance and getting close to mastery. I am going to be flying this thing alot.

Great video! Fancy flying... it took me like 2 hours to get this one last night...
Thanks! I’m coming out with a descriptive video soon on how to get really quick with it :)
Boy, this one was pretty tricky for me, it took a few attempts but I finally squeezed it in. I'm a fairly casual MSFS player, I think it's safe to say most casual players will have an extremely hard time with some of the Dune challenges, I know I have. I think I might have my settings too high, my framerate is a little too low for me to be fully confident in my piloting and sure that the game's not gonna lag me into a wall so I'm playing it pretty cautious and it costs me precious time, but I am having a blast with this new expansion, this Ornithopter flies like a dream! Awesome gameplay as always!
Yeah it’s pretty awesome. It’s felt like it’s own standalone game 😂
I would say maxing out framerates is definitely a plus!
@@EricTFDC No kidding, looks fantastic, gameplay is incredibly fun, but oh man my poor 3070 is getting a workout :P Just gotta optimize my settings, tricky to find a balance sometimes
It took me 2 days to complete this last one 😂😭 I was dead set on completing this
@@Aavash_Purple nice! Way to hang in there 😂
Not that this mission isn't amazing but I thought the storm is not dangerous above 5000 feet. Why not just... climb?
Totally right 😂 thought about that scene as well.
Nicely done! Have you tried doing the afterburner when the wings are just in the gliding mode?
I accidentally discovered in the touch n‘ go missions that one could do that! I couldn’t see a drastic difference in speed so I ended up just pulling back on the controls and sort of lobbing the aircraft up letting momentum on the way down speed me up. I love this thing 😂
Nice, you made it! I noticed one can even go faster with glide mode + afterburner, that way you can get A ratings in the races.. made a little demo vid.
Yes sir!
1:50 i knew you had to dive at this point! this is the only video ive seen where someone actually uses the dive (and beats the level). well done
Thank you much! I’ve improved since this video and I’m coming out with a video on mastering the ornithopter either tonight or tomorrow :)
@@EricTFDC time to sub and put notifs on lol

I tried beating this mission without looking up TH-cam videos. I was succesfull after many failed attempts. I'm now mind blown that I never thought about using dive mode to go faster. Nice flying!
Its even faster if you use glide mode + afterburner above 450 knots 😉
I thought dive mode and glide mode were the same SMH. Just tried it out and it's amazing. Thanks for the tip!
@@cameronbourdeau4713 It requires lot of afterburner sometime you run out of afterburner before reaching final pad
How do you make it so your camera doesn’t tilt with the aircraft when you turn?? 2:15
TrackIR :)
Anyway to do so without TrackIR? And are you using a flightstick for this?
@@BenV198 as far as I know, I have not yet seen a tilt camera setting whilst in the cockpit sadly…however I could imagine that being difficult while flying to also tilt a camera.. Head tracking really raises the bar on immersion.
In terms of flight peripherals I have the x56 Hotas. Gets the job done :)
Ah yes, I recently switched over to a flight yoke that’s around. I used to use a T-Flight hotas X so I might switch back. Thanks for the help.
@@BenV198 no worries!
