Olly gives a full walk around of all of the modifications to his Honda Civic Type R. From Mugen parts including a spoiler, grill and pedals to carbon fibre engine covers and hydro dipped interior parts, there is also Recaro seats from a DC2 Integra Type R or EK9 Civic Type R. Hey I like the car I own a civic EP3 type r I would recommend you have it under sealed and also recommend you check to see where the side skirts clip underneath they can rust out where the clip goes in underneath the car Make sure they drop the tank and the inner wheel arches If you have it under sealed

I’ve had a turbocharged k20 and now a 412 whp Rotrex Supercharger is the way to go imo. Turbo generates too much heat and eventually will kill a stock k20. I would only go back to turbo with a fully built motor!

What kills is the torque spikes. Heat is the same if not worse with a sc. Just get an nice Wagner ic or do88 and water/meth if iats are too high +50C
I'd recommend you get a 5.1 final drive,LSD,toda cams and a k100 remap, will transform the car. Best mod I did to mine was the fast road setup though, just destroys corners like they arent there now.

No. Supercharge is just awesome. The NA feel and scream is the same, it's so feacking fun. BUT, to make it right is quite expensive. Get the intercooler, you will need a full new fuel system, new pump, bigger lines, bigger fuel rail, bigger injectors. Then you need a bigger exhaust, that spoon skinny shit won't cut it, as the fumes will not scavenge properly. Tdi North offers an awesome muffled 3 incher, it's very civil and just screams on top, you will need bigger tubes headers.
On chassis you will need an lsd FOR SURE. Clutch I'm not sure. Ask those who sell the kit.
Brakes, duh, car will be much fastee, oem stuff will just burn. Get the megane 3 rs brake calipers, better disks good pads and good brake coolant and you will be done. Don't cut corners, you will regret it.

@@OllyRoss no problem. Some stuff you can pick up used, but try to search for a car that has the mods you want (talk to tdi north for example as they make a lot of them). It will be much cheaper, much less of an headache. Try to find one with intercooler if it has water meth even better as the iats will be much lower and the engine will be in much better condition. Even if it is a track car or a car with no interior (plenty of ep3 being parted plus most of the stuff is thr same on ep2) get it.
If it is a track car, save some money for caliper rebuild (fairly cheap), bushes (don't poly bush, it's literally plastic, they go faster than they arrive, get rubber ones) and suspension arms.

I got them off of someone on facebook man. I'm always checking the EP3 "for sale" parts pages. The guy did a deal with all of those dipped bits and a carbon spark plug cover! I couldn't say no! Haha

I’m getting another ep3 soon. Really want a facelift cosmic but started out hating front end and the rear lights on facelifts, but the front ends growing on me now. What tint did you use for the rears takes most the hideous out of them aha
Get a facelift and then get a different front lip. I have the Airwalker Style lip but there is also the Mugen Style front lip too. I used this tint for my lights. I did a terrible job though! Hi what sort of cost was the carbon dip on the interior parts ? Did you remove them your self ? Just bought a standard 06 prem in cosmic to start a build 👍🏻
I actually got them all off of someone selling them on facebook. I got all of it plus the engine bay parts for £150. I did remove the standard parts to swap them over though. Great choice of car and colour! Haha

I just recently bought my first ep3 premier last of the 2005 model love it but wondering how do you get the grey plastic off to dip that my console is carbon dipped and want it to match any help would be appreciated, or even a vid would be good 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🙈🙉🙊cheers

@@OllyRoss the ones running down the side of the windscreen on inside of car were the tweeter speakers are
The bits that would have the tweeters in had their clips broken so I don’t know how they come out but they have one clip in the middle of them so if you can get a tool behind there, I’m sure it will pop off. I don’t want to find out because I have no need to take them off again! Haha
How easy were the seats to fit? Just premier rails needed? Bolt up straight?
I had to drill one hole on each side of the rail to bolt the seat onto the rail as the seats are slightly shorter. Apart from that, they just bolt straight in on premier rails

It is the Tegiwa M intake which is a copy of the Gruppe M intake

Hello. Did you have to get adjustable inner tie rods after fitting the yellowspeeds because of the toe? Or did you find a way around it
As the car is only 30mm lower it isn't needed. I am pretty sure that it is anything 50mm and beyond where you need to change them. (Don't hold me to that though! Haha)

Do you have to alter the ECU after installing the tegiwa intake?
Nah man. No need. You would need to if you were changing the inlet manifold but for the induction kit you just bolt it on and realise how boring life was before! These sound mega!! Haha!

The hole in the door is a water drainer if you wash your car the water hose down between the window and seal and leaks out off there dude they all have them holes and your have a hole at the front off the door to
This was a hole in the door card. The piece of plastic that had broken off was still inside.

Did you get the JDM one in dealerships or do you still have to import them like we do?
@@OllyRoss they get imported privately and by wholesalers. We have a massive choice of JDMs, it's ridiculous 😂 we are truly blessed in that sense

Haha, finally someone has mentioned this! I deliberately put that shot in there to see if anyone would comment on it! It's just surface rust man, the car has been looked under by Honda and Motion Motorsport and they both said that its all good underneath (at the moment)! Thanks for letting me know though!
