So a boy is going to point out how a Real Man should think and feel? We all go through different experiences in life. Some leave us nasty scars and some decide to accept those scars and grow stronger. Yes it's a good thing when us Men express our emotions, only when we decide to do so and not because we feel pressured to do so. If you don't understand that then you have alot of growing up to do.
This guy was fucking amazing and absolutely stood out from the ones I've seen so far which aren't many, but holy shit this guy was incredible. His story telling was so vivid it's like I was with him the whole time. Absolute master of telling his tales and I wish him absolutely all the best.
He needs to write a book about his life, get the cash and live comfortable, his storytelling is so damn raw, and rightfully so sense he lived it but alot of guys just bottle the shit up and never speak on it
The people here talking about how awesome this guy and his story are make kind of sad. What about the trail of victims that this loser has left in his wake? Would you be wanting to be his buddy if it was you or someone you loved that he victimized or even killed?
I give spooky my utmost respect, I’m so glad he’s alive, he’s incredible and so so protected by god. I wish him endless blessings, and I hope that he’ll eventually be able to live the life that he truly deserves.
I like this guy. Reminds me of the gangsters of the 70's. Not to be messed with but they had respect. I went to Chino High and the gangsters were very respectful. Just didn't take any crap. But if you left them alone they left you alone.
Listening to Spooky brings back memories. I got out of it... from Colonia Chiques [COXCH]- from La Colonia in Oxnard. I joined the Army at 17 in 1980. Ended up in Special Forces as a Medical Sgt. I served 12 years and got out. I had PTSD long before I was ever a Green Beret. I worked and went from having a GED to having a Ph.D. in Psychology. I raised a family. I’m far from home today... from La Colonia. I moved a few years ago to Aurora, IL and now I’m living the retired life in the Philippines. But listening to Spooky, I realize I am not proud of myself. I may have “succeeded” in the eyes of others. But the truth is- I abandoned my friends- mis carnales. I’m still that boy. The Guero and I miss my friends who have left us years ago. 2 of my partners got the death penalty. If I was with them that day, I would have got it too. I should have stayed home and left with those that have passed. I’m no better or different. I was just given chances. My wife is lying right beside me at the moment. She’s trying to decide whether to order pecans or almonds off the internet. She has absolutely no clue about the life I once lived. There is almost no one alive still that does. Unspoken secrets. I’m glad you made it Spooky.
@Anthony Lowney - You really need to know the full story before making judgements about others. You really can’t judge a book by its cover. www.goodreads.com/author/show/4631437.Jos_N_Harris?
You did the right thing. I know a a couple of colonia chiquez boys who are either still locked up, have been deported and continued the lifestyle or dead.
Thank you Mark I’m from a small town in Montana. I’m naïve you show me the world through the eyes of the people you interview. My heart does flip flops I get so into their lives I know I would never make it. Spooky is the best gangster interviewer I can feel the rush because of the details he talks about. I’m so grateful for this channel. I don’t watch the news or read newspaper’s but I watch you it’s real . Thanks again Mark and your stories spooky please be safe and I hope your girlfriend and new baby are well.
There’s parts of this where I felt like I was listening to poetry. This felt like a one-man-show. He’s a special one. I get so upset when I see these amazing spirits wasting away out there.
I'm actually worried because it's VERY possible that he will get arrested for this. There's no statute of limitations on Murder. Which means that even if he murdered someone and 100 years later he confesses it, he can still get tried and charged. And in a video, him saying these things ESPECIALLY as a convicted ex felon, this video can be used as a confession and the evidence brought to court. Even without his real name, his face, tattoos, and stories can easily be looked up by law enforcement in their police database There are lots of cases where this has happened to people. Wish he hadn't be so detailed for his sake. But I loved hearing him
Luis Martinez Did you ever think that he feels super guilty about what he’s done and he’s looking for atonement to God for his sins? And if he has to go to prison for life to atone for the murders then so be it?
"It's always good to know what you do, but don't spread it around, you know? Keep it to yourself. You learn something." This is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant and so true, even if you aren't in the game.
This man has a God given talent of storytelling. He's very engaging to listen to. It also seems that he didn't move through that life without growing, maturing and paying attention to the realities of that life. Some act as thought it is what it is and nothing more. This man shows compassion for what humans go through, he isn't dead to the world, dead to feeling, to caring. Thank God.
@Niko To each his own. You're entitled to your opinion. There are (sadly) *Lots of folks on meth* here on SWU and Not one of them speaks like him. May he be on drugs or have some lasting damage from it, it is still something he is good at. Why would anyone wanna strip folks of what they're good at, what they could use in society as a means to living, especially when they're already at their lowest or close to? I choose to try and lift others up, including praying. I just can't justify thinking I have a place to put another down or judge when I stand just as guilty in my own way.
I'm glad he stated that he is trying to move forward and not backwards. At this age in the game I'm sure Spooky is aware it's every man for themselves. In many situations he was solo.
They’re horror stories. We all watch them In the wrong context when we try to “learn” or be “entertained”. We should watch them and be quintessentially horrified at what we’re hearing.
bigGaza1 You don’t know me! Your narrow minded, bitter ass words show your ignorance. Wether your rich or poor no one is exempt from horrible things happening to them. Being poor is a construct and situational. Go peddle your nastiness somewhere else.

Unkown Fnk Nah his homies were just cheerleaders. Did you hear him say he shot those 3 dudes then when news hit his neighborhood his own homies tried to claim credit for it? With him Knowing he was the one who did it! That’s crazy!
The fact that most time he was going at with 18th is crazy, one of the most biggest gang or was in LA, and spooky still made it out from them once is crazy, spooky a real O.G respect to the homie
I used to visit with Homeless people around the city. He reminds me of old heads I meet. Sometimes I can get a story outta them and this is how they sound. The streets, y'all. It's real out there.
Wow 😳, I don't believe I've ever heard more honesty from a man. Upmost respect for you, Homie. I'm from a small town in Florida, born in the 70's,exact opposite from what this man grew up in. It's always cool to hear how things are for someone else. Thanks 👍 man, really appreciate your time and stories. Hope you are doing well, I can tell you're a good person.
He seems to have a caring spirit. Although I’m sure he has done his share of dirt. Good people are born in dire situations. I listen to these people weekly and my attitude regarding life has changed without me even trying. When I’m in situations now it’s crazy how I reflect back to these interviews and tell myself, hey...my situation could be an interviewee’s from Soft White Underbelly. Damn...I’m thankful.
The most caring and Emotional people are actually the biggest serial killers and killers in general. They paint that tough dont give 2 fuk guy as the killer but hes just a foot soldier compared ppl like spooky. A man who cried hard tears us the man you treat wit respect n kind heart because theyll snap when your off or threaten em n its 1000x more dangerous the dealing wit a pack of wolves. Theyll just kill ya at that point. Emotional people have better instincts and intuitions especially when their emotionally intelligent. Look at every special forces soldier. Biggest hearts and most gruesome killers
@I L I K E A P P L E S your comment, using a 'Navy Seal, special ops' example of gentle to gruesome killer, has stuck with me, since you first posted it! Heck, I've even used it as an explanation to others. You are 💯 % correct ! Thanks for little bug in my ear☺️. You made quite an impact.
I dont normally watch something like this but this is amazing. You're an amazing human being Spooky to move forward and know that there's more to life then the world you came from. There are alot parts of this story where I can just hear the intelligence in you. Hope you're doing well!!!
Am I the only one who envisioned every detail that came out of Mr.Spooky's mouth?? Shyt...that was Gr8 story telling..they need to make these into monologues
This man lives through his pain, as he tells this story he isn't just telling it, he is living through it replaying it in his head as he tells it as if he is still there with every emotion with every laugh and every tear. Respect
That’s the gang banging life for you Leah,it’s a run away truck with no brakes. If you don’t jump off your gonna wipe out and thank heavens that Spooky has jumped off hey. Stay safe in these mad times baby girl.
Spooky is a true poet. He has a really interesting way of telling his stories, really animated and poetic. I've talked to him in the past but can't remember where.
This is one of the most genuinely emotional, articulate interviews of the series. Given his intelligence, he could have become almost anything and possibly still could. Too bad he grew up fully immersed in gang culture and never saw an alternative, like so many others in these interviews. I wish universities had programs that seek out people like him and give them a shot at being successful without engaging in violence or crime.
I hella respect spooky. This dude is a real one. Seems to be super solid and got hella respect honor and dignity. This is the homie. i would want this man watching my back.
It's rare this days for someone to be GP now every softy is going PC they even running the yards now what a shame. You do the crime do your time GP NOT PC.
Hey spooky if u see this comment i wanna thank you homes. You saved my ass back in 2001. You might not remember but i was new to the hood and some vatos jumped me. You came in swingin a crowbar and got these fuckers off me. You then told me to go home and i started running as fast as i could and i never saw you again. Now I know it was you because of the tattoo on your abdomen. Just wanna say thanks homey. You a real one.

Yess first johnny Casper a dew days ago and now spooky, my two top favorite guys that youve interviewed by far, keep it up and keep the reflections of a gangster coming they are all awesome. Spooky looks a little better in this vid, he was really down and depressed as well as pretty high in his last vid talking about his daughter and dad who died, he was just a mess i felt his pain and suffering i felt so bad for him. But yeah keep these reflections of a gangster coming they are some of my favorite videos, theae are some real ass tough dudes that are gifted storytellers with wild stories that more people ought to hear, and all sorts/kinds of life experience to boot.
@Buenos Tiempos I'm white, female. I can't relate to the game, but I can relate to the pain. My mom was a heroin addict and alcoholic. My dad beat my mom, brother and I. My brother beat me too, when I was a child. My dad got another woman pregnant when I was 10. My parents signed me over to the state, when I was 15. I was a ward of the court until my 18th birthday. Is that "White" enough for you?
i can’t believe im actually early-Thank you for these videos i watch them & rewatch them everyday before work as i get ready ,late at nights ,i can relate so much to them and i’m just thankful to see another day and actually have a normal life ,temptation is everywhere and somehow your videos help me

What should be taken from this is one thing, it’s no life gang banging when you die you are by yourself and your homies go on to live another day and forget about you and the only ones who are left to grieve is your family!!!! Ain’t no future in it.....
I'm 47yr. Old & I still grieve for my dead homies. It never goes away. As a matter of fact the guilt of not being able to save them stays stabbing your mind 30yrs.later. RIP~ Mansfreddy, Loma, SadBwoy,
Isi Santos I am glad to hear that because as a mom you get that feeling that the friends don’t really grieve your kids, it seems that they are forgotten and don’t get me wrong I know that some of my sons friends haven’t forgotten them but it feels like it sometimes that’s just me thinking from a moms view. No disrespect to you but I have so much hurt and pain that only a mom who has lost a child would know. It’s a saying I go by and it goes like this IF YOU ARE STRONG YOU WILL STAND TALL AND IF YOU ARE WEAK YOU WILL FALL. I say that I have a few friends who lost one child and they are walking the streets like a zombie as if they have loss their minds and believe me I have loss 2 sons I think I should have killed myself long ago because that’s how much I don’t wanna hurt anymore!!! It really sucks to be me and I cant even change nothing, so I feel for every parent who has lost a child.
@@mscherrybear6400 it sounds kinda funny & sad. But I myself have zombied out for a while. Only my family brought me back. I hope you continue to find a way thru the pain. My eldest sister always says "if it doesn't kill you it makes you stronger." take care
Isi Santos That’s the truth, and dear god I’m still here standing tall I just hope I keep the same energy. I think when I here stories about people dying I always go back to my own memories but I wouldn’t be human if it didn’t happen that way!!!! God Bless.....

Spooky, It seems that I cannot write to you again personally so instead I will write you one last time on your public platform. I have watched your videos for years now. In some of my darkest periods of life, you, out of all of the eight billion people on this earth, were one of the most important voices that I had. I have written you letters and poetry and I just know that you got at least one of my letters. I could tell by the way that you addressed your audience in a previous video and just so you know- since you cannot be told in person- it meant the absolute world to me! What your inspiration was for countless people, in certain times, is immeasurable. It seems that you have lived and died in LA, just like you wanted. Thank you for sharing yourself with each of us so intimately. It is no small feat to authentically embrace the entire world with a platform- And in return, your clear heart, mind for strategy, and incredible storytelling ability captivated an audience with millions of views. It seems like the way that you seem to have understood right and wrong was inherent to the ways of a warrior. If there was any man who deeply knew that we leave it all here physically when we are done, it was you. You have truly lived up to the narrative of your namesake. An enormous thank you on the behalf of millions of people reached, whose lives that you have touched!
Spooky, I know so many like you because I grew up in your environment in the Harbor Area. Thank you for sharing your truths. I respect you for doing so. I love your story. It's so close to many whom I've grown up with.
this is so important. it sheds a light on gang life that I didn't think of. can you imagine being in a gang, and giving all of yourself to gang life - and not have your homies have your back? Spooky is a gem. updates pls
Wow this guy is full of regret,he still a kid at heart because you dont grow in jail I went in 17 came out years later with the same head on that I went in as,but this guy is hurting big time!
I agree...im sure he went threw some shit in the pinta tambien.a movie like that could open a lot of the younger generations eyes...the homies sometimes ain't down when it comes to the get down...to b honest the only true homies most individuals have ,have the same blood running threw there vains...LA FAMILIA!!!
I see a kind, gentle, sensitive human! Unfortunately sometimes our environment makes us chose to bury aspects of who we are to survive! That's why he's in pain, he never wanted to hurt people, he had no choice...................lose lose situation. Respect you Spooky, I'm sure you're a great friend, wish they was more homies like you!
It’s crazy hearing stories like that. I was really interested in what spooks had to say. Thank God he’s alive and out of jail. Someone was looking out for you. Thank you for sharing.
Glad to see Spooky is still in one piece. It seems like he has a lot of trauma he's dealing with. I hope he has a family of his own at some point. He deserves it. You can tell he values loyalty very much, and has given a lot to his hood.
So he went by loyalty, many of his friends died being loyal to the streets, but soon finds out his homies who were still alive were not loyal to him, and when he handled his own, they pretended they were with him.
RIGHT! My daughter just died and my son is serving 18 yrs in prison and I promise you the “ friends” who led them down the wrong road where no where to be found! In fact as my daughter laid in a hospital bed in her room on hospice dying her boyfriend already moved on and had another girlfriend bc we wouldn’t let him see her 🤬 and of course my sons “ friends” all turned their back on him ....the ones who were still alive ! It’s a cruel world we are living in!
Darlene Warner so sorry for you losing your daughter and I know the feeling losing 2 sons and also a son doing 10 yrs in prison then coming home I can think of only 2-3 friends who would show up at my door while my son was in prison just to check up on him and say hi it’s a very cold world out here and you wonder what makes these people tick. I have let it go and let god because it’s too hard at times to deal with!!!!
Ms Cherry Bear wow.....you have suffered such great loss & im so sorry you lost your babies :(. How has your son been since he came home from serving time? Has he been able to find work &have a normal decent life since he came home ? My fear is my son will not be able to live in society & it will be impossible to find work ......

It's a shame things ain't that way anymore
I like the codes they seem to have had back then. Now it's anything goes and no honor, kill your own brothers kinda shit.

It's sad, having no one from the past to converse with. Keeping everything on your chest.
Thanks again Mark and your stories spooky please be safe and I hope your girlfriend and new baby are well.
Man i have NEVER heard something come from the heart this deep.
Even without his real name, his face, tattoos, and stories can easily be looked up by law enforcement in their police database
There are lots of cases where this has happened to people.
Wish he hadn't be so detailed for his sake. But I loved hearing him
Luis Martinez Did you ever think that he feels super guilty about what he’s done and he’s looking for atonement to God for his sins? And if he has to go to prison for life to atone for the murders then so be it?

This is one of the most genuinely emotional, articulate interviews of the series. Given his intelligence, he could have become almost anything and possibly still could. Too bad he grew up fully immersed in gang culture and never saw an alternative, like so many others in these interviews.

It seems like the way that you seem to have understood right and wrong was inherent to the ways of a warrior. If there was any man who deeply knew that we leave it all here physically when we are done, it was you. You have truly lived up to the narrative of your namesake.
