EU Pressure on ITALY to Avoid BRICS: What's going on?

  • Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has taken a pragmatic approach towards BRICS and the European Union as a G7 members. Her invitation to three BRICS countries, Brazil, India and UAE aligns with Italy's broader objective of fostering international cooperation and addressing global challenges through inclusive dialogue.
The 2024 G7 Summit, held in Apulia, Italy, saw Meloni inviting leaders from several developing countries, including India, Algeria, Brazil, Jordan, Kenya, Mauritania, Tunisia, Turkey, and the UAE, among others. This inclusion highlights her commitment to bringing diverse perspectives to G7 table and recognizing the significant roles these countries play in the global economy and politics.
While it may seem like she intended to sway these nations away from BRICS, her true aim is to challenge the EU's stance and engage with the Global South in a predominantly Western setting, namely G7. This move has not been well-received by other G7 leaders. Notably, there have been several direct and indirect complaints from French President Emmanuel Macron, highlighting a clear disagreement between the two leaders.
Meloni has criticized various EU policies. For example, she has called the EU "an invasive bureaucratic giant" and has criticized backroom deals on EU top jobs, advocating for more transparency and democracy in the Union's decision-making processes
During the G7 summit, Italian Prime Minister has placed significant focus on issues like artificial intelligence regulation, and enhancing cooperation with African nations. One of the key elements of Meloni's strategy is positioning Italy as a gateway for African energy exports to Europe. This involves a $5.95 billion investment aimed at establishing Italy as a hub for distributing African gas and other energy resources to the European market. This move is partly driven by the need to diversify energy sources in light of reduced supplies from Russia due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Meloni has also sought to engage the private sector and international bodies such as the European Union to support these development projects
Furthermore, Meloni's administration has prioritized allocating 70% of Italy's climate fund to Africa, emphasizing the importance of supporting sustainable development on the continent. This commitment underscores Italy's broader goal of fostering inclusive economic growth and stability in African countries, which is seen as essential for both regions' long-term prosperity
In this video, we explore the intricate dynamics of Italy under Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's leadership, examining potential challenges within the EU bloc and discussing the prospects of Italy joining BRICS in the future.

If you travel to the south of Italy, you will see a family structure similar to that in Africa. Italians call the south of Italy Africa.
Maybe unions should be created between the southern and northern countries and the Balkan states, because when they reach a certain level, the former Eastern bloc countries tend to become desbotic.
For example, East Germany, despite its long relationship with Russia, is still not fully integrated, there is still a different mentality. This is reflected in the elections.

Eastern Europe is not despotic, rather won't be told how to conduct it's own issues. Western Europeans are grinded down by many years of ruling class dictatorship, and fake political propaganda.
In Eastern Europe we had the best system, Socialism, taken away against most people's will. East Germans are were the top German culture was born...all the top philosophers and thinkers. Western Germany is a joke...just Washington puppet. That's why East Germans are Slavic friends, staying with the community they know well.
In the East, We are waiting for the Russian Federation to clean up All of Ukraine, and then get back with Russia..out of Nato, EU. And we expect that the our Russian family will get back to the future, ie. Socialism. China and Vietnam have provided the better options of Socialism.
We never wanted Socialism out. It was Gorbachov's stupidity, trusting Washington's lies, that took away our better way of life. East Europe is a basket case in Capitalism, because it doesn't inspire anyone to better life..just low down survival in total insecurity... without proper free medical care, education, work, Social Security and Pensions. And that has been the western illness always.
I went to school in London from 69 to late 72, and was shocked how poor ordinary British people were, even with free medical care. They lived in dirty homes, slams infested with violent crime, and huge unemployment problems. We couldn't wait, to get back to Socialism.
The future is already here, The Russian Federation is winning, and we feel inspired about getting back with the better way of life.

I don't think Meloni is singling out BRICS, but working to increase trade, especially exports, to BRICS countries. By doing so, Italy's deficits can be lessened. The thing puzzling is her termination of two Italian ports that were to be developed by Chinese companies which would have made Italy the southern terminus of goods for western Europe. She has the foresight to see Africa's rapid rise as an opportunity for Italian exports and that should favor Italy in the long run.

If Ireland`s "far right" comes to power, we willl have a chance of leaving the EU for BRICS. Going it alone would be economically unwise in my opinion and any suggestion of having anything to do with the UK would be repugnant in the extreme, not to mention, limited in benefits. So BRICS membership is the obvious way to go. What Ireland needs to do is to try get it`s foreign multinationals to become indiginous companies. I don`t mean nationalization but to incentivise the multinationals to register their Irish businesses as separate entities in order to avoid mother country dictats and to take advantage of BRICS membership. Even if they are not interested, it could still be possible to pull this off. Even if these multinationals were to pull out of Ireland under a Trump presidency, the premises they operate in are usually owned by the Irish Development Authority and with the staff and local management all in place, they might be able to continue operations under a new name, just as former western owned companies in Russia have done, following the sanctions there. It would be a challenge obviously, especially where there are patents involved or where the business relies on specific high tech parts supplied the multinational company but with the freedom BRICS offers, anything is possible.

    1- USrael and its puppets
    2- Franco-German alliance
    3- Non-aligned alliance
Italy, Spain, Hungary, Poland, Turkey etc are in non-aligned alliance and there are heavy cooperation between those countries. UK might seem like with US but they heavily cooperate with non-aligned countries as well so playing both sides. Nobody likes Franco-German alliance expect themselves alone and trying to stay away from them as much as possible. So Italy's this move isn't something surprising at all rather a classic non-aligned policy showing middle finger to Franco-germans while keeping options open in elsewhere..

BRICS is a global economic association in continuous growth, and with the highest quantity of raw materials. Italy, on the other hand, is a noble industrial nation that declined towards the 90s, whose economy was suffocated by the diktats of the USA and the Franco-German alliance. Italy, with the economic sanctions against Russia and the trade boycott of the West against China, has lost many of its exports, seriously reducing the turnover of its companies. Since many signs suggest that the United States wants to regain its world economic primacy with a Third World War between the West and the East, if an important nation like Italy makes it clear that loyalty to the European Union and NATO is not a given, other nations will also want to follow its example, and international balances will be questioned and UN directives will be respected.

It's simply logical. And moreover it's politically correct in the sense that we have granted inclusion, respect, consideration etc to countries that was often snobbed by other "more prominent" western countries.
Many do not agreed in such thing, but we must take into consideration that this world is not just made out by West. There's a lot more and they are excellent economic, political and military partners if included with respect in our system.
