Do you often use subsurface lures and plugs to catch redfish, snook, or seatrout?
Have you ever used the Rapala X-Rap Subwalk Subsurface Lure?
The Rapala Subwalk is a fantastic lure for changing up your approach and using something that swims just below the surface but swims different from suspending twitchbait lures!
If you are looking for an alternative lure to other suspending twitchbaits that swim underneath the surface of the water while mimicking baitfish behavior, then check out everything you need to know in this Subwalk tutorial!!

Me too. I was that way with the MR17 but prefer the rapala after owning one for 2 weeks. if only they make a heavy version like mirrolure .

Do you know a model of lure, that have the same action as stickbait floating used in GT fishing? Like a daiwa, like a rapala xrap Magnum stick? O cant find here in Brazil.

What colors are best for hard plastic lures like these for redfish and trout?

I assume you fish the 3.5 “ & 6” versions the same. I just picked a few of the 6” models that I intend to use for a striped bass and bluefish here in the Northeast.

i tend to let the fish determine the speed or action of the lure. just keep trying until you find the one that they want.

@@Saltstrong I’ve been doing very well with Spook type plugs the past few falls on stripers & bluefish but when the wind picks up later in the day it makes it difficult to work the plug to get that walk-the-dog action. I tend to fish the subwalk in the same manor/cadence that I fish the Spook when the wind and seas build a bit.
