Predictions for new characters: 1.Teenage wolf girl (TWG) will be your stereotypical spoiled brat who pursues her dreams of fame at the expense of others. Especially Pig Lady, as shown in the brief clips of them interacting. She will strong-arm her way into the main performer group to met the Washed out lion rock star (WOLRS) dude she idolizes. Once she sees Pig Lady hesitating in performing her stunts, TWG will push her out and take her role. However, she will be reinstated as TWG's partner, when the Pig Dancer Guy (PDG) is injured when he was accidentally slammed against the space rock replica. Over the course of the film, TWG slowly mellows out after seeing how her actions affect Pig Lady. Once she befriends Pig Lady, she’ll help her overcome her fear of heights. TWG herself probably has some sort of secret loneliness/making true friends issues. I'm guessing that most of “friends” only associate with her for her father’s wealth and fame. Not helping matters is that her mogul father often ignores her in favor of work, and has become something of a daredevil in an attempt to get his attention. In return, Pig Lady teaches TWG the art of true friendship. 2.Washed out lion rock star (WOLRS) is your typical jaded and sullen reclusive old man with a tragic backstory. Obviously, given what is shown in the trailers, his wife passed away 15+ years ago. Whatever happened was related to music, and caused him to renounce the industry as a whole. This has turned him into broken and cynical shell of a man. Porcupine Girl (PG) initially tries to solicit his help, but WOLRS will aggressively blow her off. Probably something entailing literally shoving her out of his house and slamming the door in her face. As her group desperately needs his help, PG will continue to pursue him. WOLRS’ personal issues will quickly become apparent, and PG somewhat switches her focus into helping him out. He is touched inside, but struggles to keep a rough facade. Slowly, they will form a bond. However, something happens to cause a plot mandated wedge between the two. PG returns to her group, feeling like a failure. When the performers are at their darkest hour, WOLRS has an off-screen change of heart, and returns to bail them out. 3.Lynx dance instructor (LDI) has turned to street performing, after her dreams of a professional dancer where dashed away by some sort of unfortunate life complications. Whatever the "unfortunate life complications" entailed, has left her cynical and burned out. Gorilla Dude (GD) was pushed into a dancing skit by the Koala Manager, despite him not having any talent for it. He attempts to take a few dancing lessons, but he flunks them all. While wandering around the streets, feeling bummed by his failures, he stumbles across LDI performing in front of a crowd. Impressed and desperate, GD tries recruiting her to be his personal dancing instructor. Like the WORLS dude, LDI is initially reluctant and dismissive. She in turn is impressed by a demonstration of his singing abilities, and decides to teach him. Perhaps she secretly hopes that GD and his friends are the ticket to a second chance of achieving her dreams of professional dancing. In the midst of their dancing lessons, the two slowly bond. I'm going to bet that there will be some at least vague romantic subtext shoehorned in their relationship. Whatever LDI and GD go through with it or not, could go either way. Although it's very common for works in all mediums to shove romantic subplots, subverting the "obligatory love story" seems to be more and more common these days. Regardless, there's a good chance of a temporary fall out between LDI and GD, similar to WORLS and PG. If that does happen, GD probably figures out LDI's ulterior motives and feels exploited. In return, LDI will be enraged by GD's perceived ungratefulness. However, towards the film's climax and aforementioned darkest hour of the performers, GD realizes that he needs LDI's assistance. Again like WORLS, LDI has a change of heart and swoops in to help GD and the other performers. All three seem very by the books, but if that’s a bad thing remains to be seen.
Wow you summarized most movie's plots. Whenever I see movies about how the protagonist tries to help a character I can pretty much predict how is going to happened with the same formula. There's nothing wrong with this and I actually enjoy it if the story is interesting, so I'm hoping this movie does the same. Either way I'm going to watch it.
To me the Teenage wolf girl wants to be a part of the show because she thinks Callaway is going to be a part of it which btw she is apparently a huge fan of Callaway. This is just my opinion.
All boils down to execution. Pretty much every possible story or character has been done already. A great story doesn't need to try and reinvent the wheel so long as it can execute those tried and true themes well. Tropes are not a bad thing, they're only bad when overused in one work or used poorly to provide nothing of substance. So as long as the story is told well enough, I'm sure people will enjoy this movie.

Like what the Bible said, “nothing is new under the sun.” Genuine originality is a bit of a myth, as any idea you have has guaranteed to have been thought up by someone else. With the billions of people that exist, it’s statistically inevitable that your ideas will overlap with that of another person. Agree, being overly “tropy” isn’t necessarily a bad thing at all. I’ve found myself genuinely entertained by many works that followed generic formulas to a T. I was inspired to write my comment by how blatantly obvious of what directions the new characters will take in the narrative. Again though, it’s quite suitable for a film like Sing 2, where it’s primary purpose is to have families sit down and relax with each other.

I know they're trying to hype up the movie, but a trailer shouldn't be almost 4 minutes long; who clay Callaway is isn't even a secret because they showed him in the trailer, I literally feel like they've already shown my the entire movie but the filler.

My mom is a huge fan of Bono, the lead singer of the band U2. She was so excited when she heard that he was going to be in this movie and couldn’t wait for the trailer to come out. The one at the beginning? I’m pretty sure it’s a species of lemur. I don’t remember the name but it had eyes so bigs that it can’t move them so they rotate their neck to see in different directions kinda like an owl. EDIT: I found the name of the animal not little after I commented this. Its name is Tarsier & they are the mammals with larger eyes compared to the size of their head. Their eyes are so big that they don’t have space for muscle to move them so, they rotate their heads instead just like the character did & they can have hairless tails. I knew about the Tarsiers but I forgot the name not need to keep replying & btw Aye ayes have smaller eyes, fluffy tails & a long Middle fingers to hunt insects or larvae inside threes so, no, it’s not an Aye aye.

The movie is rated PG, so this particular Billie Eilish song probably couldn’t be played in full, as it’s very dark and the lyrics include burying friends, cannibalism, murder and wanting to end one’s self. Still, the opening of the song is creepy enough to work for the sort of short, visual gag the writers were hoping for. That said; hypothetically speaking, and if this animated world were real, the tarsier would have a successful career if met by a real talent scout, as they’re based off Billie Eilish, who is very successful. Billie’s songs aren’t really child-friendly, but she does have quite the following.

most likely the whole movie: judgemental wolf guy feeds into stereotypes and is the "villain", declines the protagonists. protagonists mention the famous guy who hasnt been seen by anyone. task: get famous guy. so the protags go and find the famous guy in less than half an hour (or it at least contains a long and "funny" montage of them searching). the famous guy basically says "no!!! i cant!!!!! something happened in my life and i never got over it!!!! and it has to do with my wife who died!!!" anyway, he gets inspired by the thought of his wife "before she left" and secretly follows the protagonists back to the show. protagonists come back empty handed, so the wolf "villain" and the other wolf make fun of them. cue sad protagonist moments. the protagonists are nervous and get stage fright, performing terribly in front of the crowd. suddenly, as the "big twist", the old famous guy shows up! protags suddenly get their damned act together, perform well, yadda yadda. they ask famous guy why he came back for them and he says something like "because of you guys" or something sappy like that. protagonists win, appease the wolf dude, end credits. sorry if this doesnt make much sense, i just woke up and decided to try to thrash this predictable movie

Honestly, from seeing this trailer..I think Porsha will be my favorite character. The trailer may make her seem a bit spoiled- but judging from her brave and confident personality, she is a legit character. Wolves are my favorite animal, and she also has long legs, just like me! Her fur color is beautiful as well. Can’t wait for this movie to release! (Sorry if I spelled her name wrong)
I’m betting a million dollars that she’ll slowly befriend the Pig Lady, and will have a change of heart from it. In my predictions, Porsha (or whatever her name is) will help pig lady overcome her fear of heights, with Pig Lady teaching her the art of true friendship in return. Something on the lines of that are always the directions taken with spoiled protagonistic characters.

After that experience of being ignored by her father, Porsha is left in tears. Then Rosita will try to calm her down, say a few inspirational words and all, forming a bond.

The one at the beginning? I’m pretty sure it’s a species of lemur. I don’t remember the name but it had eyes so bigs that it can’t move them so they rotate their neck to see in different directions kinda like an owl.
EDIT: I found the name of the animal not little after I commented this. Its name is Tarsier & they are the mammals with larger eyes compared to the size of their head. Their eyes are so big that they don’t have space for muscle to move them so, they rotate their heads instead just like the character did & they can have hairless tails. I knew about the Tarsiers but I forgot the name not need to keep replying & btw Aye ayes have smaller eyes, fluffy tails & a long Middle fingers to hunt insects or larvae inside threes so, no, it’s not an Aye aye.

The characters are animated; of course they don’t know anything, Lol. They aren’t real. But the voice actors do know from the start how long their part will be. The movie is rated PG, so this particular Billie Eilish song probably couldn’t be played in full, as it’s very dark and the lyrics include burying friends, cannibalism, murder and wanting to end one’s self. Still, the opening of the song is creepy enough to work for the sort of short, visual gag the writers were hoping for.
That said; hypothetically speaking, and if this animated world were real, the tarsier would have a successful career if met by a real talent scout, as they’re based off Billie Eilish, who is very successful. Billie’s songs aren’t really child-friendly, but she does have quite the following.

so the protags go and find the famous guy in less than half an hour (or it at least contains a long and "funny" montage of them searching). the famous guy basically says "no!!! i cant!!!!! something happened in my life and i never got over it!!!! and it has to do with my wife who died!!!" anyway, he gets inspired by the thought of his wife "before she left" and secretly follows the protagonists back to the show. protagonists come back empty handed, so the wolf "villain" and the other wolf make fun of them. cue sad protagonist moments. the protagonists are nervous and get stage fright, performing terribly in front of the crowd. suddenly, as the "big twist", the old famous guy shows up! protags suddenly get their damned act together, perform well, yadda yadda. they ask famous guy why he came back for them and he says something like "because of you guys" or something sappy like that. protagonists win, appease the wolf dude, end credits.

The trailer may make her seem a bit spoiled- but judging from her brave and confident personality, she is a legit character. Wolves are my favorite animal, and she also has long legs, just like me! I’m betting a million dollars that she’ll slowly befriend the Pig Lady, and will have a change of heart from it. In my predictions, Porsha (or whatever her name is) will help pig lady overcome her fear of heights, with Pig Lady teaching her the art of true friendship in return.
