Hey thanks for this unique strategy. I would like to also inform this, you are probably aware of this. You can go straight for Sicily then conquer Carthage and completely cut off Scipii, then if you become allied with Gaul the 2nd turn you make Julii wait a lot longer. By the time Julii starts attacking Gaul you should be ready to take Patavium. Thus, guaranteeing your late game dominance.
Interesting ideas. I tend to follow a regional strategy so the Brutii go east, the Julii north and west and the Scipii west. I find that the other Romans never do much so I don't worry about shutting them down.
@@OldTotalWarrior in my current campaign Scipii are stuck with the two starting settlements and Julii managed to grab Caralis and thats about it. I have Patavium and perhaps if I wasnt slacking I could’ve gotten the whole north Italy.
Nice. But I never did senate missions first. With Brutii I take Thermon or Sparta then other "mission cities" you gotta take a blitz strategy. Otherwise other factions will grow strong. And I didn't want to fight strong Greeks..
Thank you. I like to do the senate missions as my one bit of role-playing. If you look at my Brutii campaign, it's pretty fast if not quite an all-out blitz.
Back then I had trouble with recording and playing at the same time on huge unit size because big battles would choke the system. So I had to stick to large size units. I've since upgraded my computer so my more recent campaigns have huge units.
