Excellent video on this model. I am in my first year of owning 75 acres of woods that I have put 4 miles of 8-10’ wide trails in. It’s fantastic. Although I do love grooming the trails and the 800’ gravel drive back to my base camp with my brush hog, I’ve been giving serious consideration to this Cat 1 sprayer model. Thank you for the effort you put into making this very informative video.
To the rest of you who contributed nothing but lame advice on footwear and chemical choice, get a life. If you’re watching this video it’s not because you have years and years of experience and I’m pretty sure you don’t own thirty acres to manage.
I’m glad the sprayer is working for you. Thanks for making the video, but please, please, please stop with the music. Why does everyone on TH-cam seem to think we are here for a music video? It makes it difficult to hear the information and only detracts from the message.
Have you had any problems with the tank cracking and leaking? Many others have said they have had issues with the tank where the 4 bolts screw into the bottom of the tank.
Never wear sandals when spraying chemicals that can kill you. Never stand behind a tractor and reach around an implement with the PTO running. Good way to get killed. Safety first with this stuff folks....
D Stone interesting points. chlorine can kill you in the right amount of dosage yet we dive into pools of it a drink it in tap water. The diluted spray is not going to soak in through your toes and kill you because you were wearing flops, however thinking about safety criticism don't wear flops while operating a tractor. I think there is more inherent risk there. Really eye protection and breathing protection would be appropriate for spraying. The PTO was behind the tractor I was off to the side. I didn't come within 36 inches of it although camera angles can make objects appear closer than they are. However it is important to always be aware of it and remember when you crank a tractor up it could have been left in gear. This isn't a safety video so I'm not discussing what I am paying attention to and how I'm avoiding it. The PTO is always a hazard especially on older tractors where it can slip in or out of gear.
Hurts me to see you not adjust the top link to level your tank. Who sprays in sandals? Also I will spray a very concentrated mix of round up this year just to make up for your lack of use.
Its been 10 months since he made this video , wonder if he still has his feet , hate to be his kids spraying next to there toys ( dad why is my ass all red ?)
I leveled mine empty with a floor jack then adjusted my top link with no weight on it.
How's it holding up? I am thinking about getting one for my BX.
Great sprayer but poor mounting design. There are 4 bolts that go up from beneath frame into the bottom of the plastic tank. The plastic is not thick enough or strong enough to handle this and will quickly start leaking. Fimco sent me another tank under warranty and it started leaking during first use. In hindsight, just rely on the mounting bands that go over the tank from the frame and hope that will be strong enough to hold tank. Do not use the 4 mounting bolts. After the 2nd failure I gave up and went to the 60 gal with a PTO pump. Expensive but has much better mounting method.

Ethan K You might wanted to delve into what is going on with Monsanto. Truly is better to not use Round up and weed killers. Pkease research further, heavily discussed. because of GMO's and the increased use of the herbicides, pesticides and how dangerous to health they are.

They don't have gallon marks on their tanks.

I first used mine last year on some trees that my hand sprayers wouldn't reach the top leaves on.
It helped immensely in initial pest snd fungus control with of course the proper spray.
I mean the tank alone with water doesn't scare bugs and duch away. That would be crazy
But I loved the reach of the hand sprayer.
I'm going to try knocking out some broadleaf with the boom as well today after I finish my trees and plants and suchwhat.
I just couldn't find the gallon marks on the tank which I was thinking it had.😖😵💫😬🤦

Maybe they expect you to just buy a tank for the size you're gonna always fill it up, then add your ingredients. That could be it 🤷
So I guess that's how I'll play it.
Nevermind just found them at the middle back. The sun was hitting the tank different. I thought it had some.
I think I'll magic marker them now for easier reading though.

I’m looking into picking one of these up, but my tractor’s 3-point is cat 0. I think I’d be fine for weight, but can’t find any good pictures of the bottom pins. Does it look like the pins could easily be swapped from cat 1 to cat 0?
Yes, the pins are just held on with nuts, unbolt them and replace with cat 0 pins.
Since it has a bypass setup on the pump/tank do you think you could use the pump/tank to drain liquid out of old tractor tire inner tubes then pump it back into new replacement tubes ? just a thought.

After 3 years of this sprayer, are you still satisfied with this product? Im about to get one.
I use it frequently for small jobs. It’s not very practical for fields over 5 acres.

Seems to be a great little sprayer that's ideal for your needs and the addition of the wand is a useful feature. I hope you don't run into any copperheads today in that footwear! _(what we'd call 'thongs' in Australia and 'flipflops' in the rest of the world?)_ Oh, and was that a very small car at 09:20 or are you and the tractor a lot bigger than I'd realised? :)

I was going to get one but they had horrible reviews.
Mine has held up great. I think if you are spraying large fields, it could be a bit depressing but these aren’t built for big ag

David Roberts I grew up in Florida... where flops are considered real shoes lol. But we mainly wear just boots now.
if you are not Spraying RM43 you are wasting time and money.......just saying
