You must use newspaper when uniting colonies yes occasionally you might be lucky and they won’t fight but when they fight you can’t separate them they all get mixed up and they fight to the death. There is no bees left only the Queen is alive so you lose all your bees It’s happened to me when I been busy. I hadn’t got newspaper. I’ve put them together and regretted it I tried to separate them again after can’t because the bees all mixed up and fight and every bee is killed in the colony’s only the Queen is left alive walking around you feel quite annoyed with yourself that you’ve caused it and lost all all them bees. If you unite without newspaper, you will experience this.🙈
