In this video I want to FINALLY introduce you to Walt, my 1977 Ford F100. I thought this video was the perfect way to kick off 2022! I had been looking for a vintage Ford truck for so long as it had to be perfect - which meant, not perfect. I LOVE the patina, the imperfections, the wear, the smell and more than anything, going through the process of restoring a vintage truck. An old Ford truck like this represents some great memories for me and was the reason I wanted one so badly - to bring me back. Welcome back folks, 2022 is going to be WILD - buckle up ;).

This spoke to me. I did something very similar after my grandfather passed away a few years ago. He had hiked most of the Appalachian Trail in his retirement and one of my favorite photos of him is him standing at an overlook somewhere - looking like an absolute boss. A little digging and I was able to find the spot , hike to the location, and stand exactly where he stood to recreate the photo. Very meaningful experience.
such a great story. I can relate to it a little bit. My dad bought a 2010 Jeep Wrangler back in 2010 off the lot, and he got a truck last summer and I told him i want to keep the jeep and pass it down to my kids when i have them. I think the bond between a son and a father or grand father is the best relationship any boy could have so I want to keep his Jeep to remember all of the memories that had and will continue to have with my dad
This made my day. What a great story. And that’s what makes old trucks so cool. They all have stories to tell. My old F150, dubbed Fordinand, has his issues but the whole family has gotten involved with bringing it to life. Kids climbing all over, rust and grease all over us after every job etc. But already the memories are piling up. Camping, bike trips, tailgating, chores, you name it. Fordinand does it all. There is absolutely something about trucks that breeds nostalgia and makes my heart beat faster.... I get the just as excited about my 1968 F100 as I do my 2021 F150.
Closer to the heart. I really love that you end the video with these words, another canadian favourite of mine the Rush has them in their song. I choose it as a slogan for my photography business, this the kind of storytelling that really is closer to the heart. We had a red(as bright as yours) Lada as a child. This video really inspires me to search one, and make a photo of that masterpiece of soviet engineering.
This is why I fell in love with Peter's channel. The stories he tells are extremely personal but on a level that you can also relate to. Thank you for your stories Peter!
I finally had a chance to sit down and watch your first video of 2022. This thing generated some feels man! My dad had a 1972 International Scout that was also my first car. My dad passed away when I was 19 and we had to sell it to help with funeral costs. I've casually kept my eye out for one to pickup in hopes of reliving those moments that I hold so dear to my heart. This has encouraged me to keep a sharper eye out for one to hopefully purchase. Vintage vehicles...especially trucks and 4x4's are crazy expensive right now though.

I used to have a ‘76 F100. Then I had an ‘85 F150. Great trucks. I’m from Stayner so trucks were everywhere in that town.
