I don't know why people are complaining about the offense..... The defense lost the game...
exactly
I stg
Burrow played good...
But Burrow also lost in a shootout with a ton of weapons... all his weapons...
AND with a decimated DL (which Burrow/coaches knew before the game... knew all week... knew for several weeks bc they had 4 DL injuries before week 1)
So based on that information, what is one of the worse things the offense could do.... not dominate the TOP and not stay in the lead (both help this defense when fully healthy but are required when this defense/DL is decimated with injuries)
So if you are a defensive coordinator what is the easiest way to get Burrow off the field quickly if you don't have a good/great defense or even if you do have a good defense? Bait Burrow into a quick TD with a single high safety and/or single coverage on Ja'Marr (everyone knows this is what Burrow and Ja'Marr want because they literally complain about not getting it all the time)
So 1st possession- Burrow was on the field for 3:23 after a deep ball to Ja'Marr for a quick TD
2nd possession- Daniels was on the field for 6:12 (almost twice the time = the beginning of wearing down this struggling/decimated defense)
3rd possession - Burrow 5:34, missed FG = 0 points so now their defense & special teams are juiced from stopping any points... momentum is real and that excitement can help their defense get through longer drives in the belief that they can stop Burrow from scoring... which they did on Burrow's next 2 possessions when they forced 2 more field goals so half ends in 21-13 ... and Burrow has ONLY scored 6 points and special teams have scored 7 points in the 1st half
After the half...
Our defense did force a field goal on Daniels on commanders 2nd possession after the half and score is 31-20
BUT how are the Bengals decimated defense rewarded for making their 1st stop to let the offense catch up and after being on the field for 11:39 since the 2nd half started...
Burrow throws another quick TD to Ja'Marr and the offense is only on the field for 1:48
Then the Bengals decimated struggling defense is right back out on the field for 7:32
I get that the offense needs to catch up but Burrow should have given the defense longer than 1:48 OR even better Burrow should have scored more than 0 points on 3 possessions in the 1st half so they weren't in this position (special teams scored 6 points on those 3 possessions in 1st half)... Burrow even said this in his presser - that not scoring more in the 1st half made the biggest difference
(Kris Jenkins is out there for some snaps in the 2nd half but hasn't played football since before his surgery and this is his 1st NFL game with a club)
IMO Burrow & his offense is being paid and the defense is not so it is on Burrow to win games by taking a lead and keeping a lead. Burrow has received $40M signing bonus last September and a $70M check in March so $110M in bonuses with his new contract so he has all that money that couldn't be used on defense... that some/all was used on multiple other players around him before he got his huge contract. Tee is making $21M and Ja'Marr is making $53M ÷ 5 yrs = $10.6 M per year on his rookie contract and he wants $40M per which will cut into the defense even deeper...
So what if throwing go balls or quick TDs to Ja'Marr may actually result in losing games
And that last touchdown was pointless and it lost me my fantasy game. I had Joe at quarterback my opponent had Zack moss burrow lost me that game because of that pass
Forsure
Love you Joe. Win or lose, I'm with you.
I'm sure Jaden Daniels is good but our defense made him look like a superstar in his third game
Right. Watch his next game he doesnt do no where near what he did to us.
Not even a super star, more like a hall of farmer 😡😡😠
We have a tendency to make rookies and backups look like HoFers over recent years.
No he was amazing. Our bad defence had nothing to do with his accuracy rating. That last touchdown was a pin point throw. And under great pressure. The kid is going to make people notice in this league.
@@qtheband751it was more the ineptitude of the defense. Daniels couldn't even score a TD against the Giants. They had to settle for FGs. Not taking anything away from him but what we saw Mo day night was an outlier made possible by an historically bad performance by a below average defense
Joe being vocal is what I want to see! If he speaks they will respond! WHO DEY!
I low key don’t even care anymore but I still think we can be that team in the afc just have to get our act together
Nope. They haven’t built a good enough team around Joe and they never will.
Starting to wonder if half yall watched this last game. Our offense played great. Our defense lost that game. Played like the worst in the league
hubbard is the good one
What about our red zone we have been terrible in the red zone all year
The block was my favorite play of the game. B is for Believe trust me the magic will turn on with this team.
The defense is the problem man we can't stop nothing
Lou needs to go. Our guys fight to get open, Bengals leave 15 yards so their players catch everything. How many 4th down conversions did this Rookie have , and was confident. I shriek Everytime Bengals go on 4th down. Sad.
Dallas goes through the same thing. Jerry Jones pulling the rest of hair out. Him and Mike Brown wants to see a Superbowl Game again.
@@MarkHall-ft9goThe difference is that Jones is willing to spend the money. Brown may want another SB appearance but he’s too F’ing cheap to make it happen. It’s unfair to the team and fans.
@@qtheband751 he doesn't have many years left in him. He's about the money. A .500 team will fill the seats up.
Agree Joe you have the (C) use it be that leader when needed, I know you guys want to get it turned around too much talent but sometimes you got to be vocal at times.
Who dey Bengals!
Time for a team meeting, players only!
Now that’s how a leader does it. It’s obvious he was running cover for the defense throughout the interview but never once pointed the finger at them as the reason for the loss.
They od ing on the leadership aspect like there’s no blueprint to it. Why would he say what he gone do so yawl go on about for the next couple days and cause the team to have to answer questions about it. Which they gone do anyway
GET VOCAL JOE! AND THEN GIT R DUN!
The lady reporter makes an outstanding point about vocal leaders being gone. Joe Mixon and DJ Reader were the heartbeats. I think Germaine Pratt can step into DJs vocal role. Joe Mixon is a very special running back, though. I've said for a long time now that he was our most important offensive player.
This should be top comment u hit it ob the head brother i cant believe we let him go
Mixon was/is a stud and an asset
Mixon stunk
I swear this defense better make a couple stops this game. They Owe the offense a bounce back game
I agree with Joe on there is only so much you can say... Joe should just be himself bc forcing something prob will just come across that way. There should be others that love to do the vocal thing & it comes naturally to them
But he could still be a 1:1 leader or meet with smaller groups of players to work on routes, the run game
Seems like spending time with his newer weapons (like Andrei, Chase Brown, Burton, TEs) might be helpful... looking at film together to help them see things the same way he does/so they are on the same page... didn't Burrow teach Ja'Marr how to watch film? Spending more time with his weapons or the offense seems like the best time spent
He's been pretty laid back to start, though, and we've seen Joe get fired up. He's had a couple moments (one first down run where he took a hit @KC he got pretty animated), but I think he's gonna bring a little more intensity to get the defense to buy in. Like you said, no need to be artificial, but Joe got that dawg in him he'll let it out
@@hammersbaseball11
Joe has his process that he needs to be his best during games and he has the most mentally taxing position. So he should continue to do what he needs. I've seen him talk to many players during games briefly. So if he has the time & energy fine but there should be leaders on defense in every group talking to their guys plus their position coaches. The best thing Joe can do for the defense during games is be at his best and lead his offense to score 3, 6 or 8 every possession and keep the defense off the field
But if you are saying that the defense and special teams don't have any connection to Joe off the field then maybe they should bring back ping pong or chess or Basketball or something that Joe does with them in smaller groups to create those connections to the other 2 phases of the team
@bengalsfandom623 Not exactly that they don't have an off-field connection, although I do think they'll get closer over the year as a whole team.
It's more so that Mixon was a very vocal leader, and Boyd had been with the bengals through everything. They were a real backbone for the identity of the team.
And on defense, losing Reader is big....Rankins looked nice but got injured, BJ always brings energy and has also been out. That right there is just tough luck, but gotta have the depth to respond and the leadership to mentor them to success.
Last thing on my rant, is we gotta get Jordan Battle more snaps. Tackling has been an issue, and he already proved as a rookie to be an exceptional talent in the run game which we could benefit from greatly.
@@hammersbaseball11
Definitely use to see Mixon always hyping up the crowd and his teammates, and used to see Boyd standing on the sidelines hyping up the defense
So I definitely could see a void with the energy they brought on offense but I thought maybe Ted & Orlando brought some of that or they could since they both like to be vocal.
Would be great if Ja'Marr could do more of that or channel some of his smack talk toward defenses into hyping up our defense (seems like Ja'Marr likes to be vocal)
Used to always see Hilton hyping up everyone also and running up & down the sidelines while offense is on the field
@@hammersbaseball11
Lou loved Battle and was so excited to draft him and now Lou is choosing to not play him... so what happened?
...Because Lou also felt the need to bring Bell back... that no one stepped up to do the things Vonn had done in Vonn's absence last yea
He should prepare to leave the Bengals before they ruin his career
They need to be putting Lou up here and letting him take the heat.
Speak up & talk to the Defense ! DAMN ! 😞
Fr though. He needs to lay into them. He's the franchise
Don’t think there was one decent question.
He is amazing but he’s one of the worst spoken quarterbacks.
Great question by Kelsey on looking around and noticing most of the 21-22 leaders are gone
~ how about accepting they have a donut (hole in the middle) defense ~ and ain't nothing changing that short of a major trade ~
Im with the Bengals either way. Keep getting better fellas, we support ya
Special teams have been TERRIBLE! They need to STOP RUNNING BACK KICKOFF RETURNS!!!!
QB won’t make a speech. HC won’t make a speech.
Does no one do a damn thing to fire the team up before kickoff? Bizarre!
Hopefully that's what joe starts doing now
Should be Logan Wilson
Defensive line is the issue Hubbard is not healthy Murphy is a bust…can’t stop the run cant rush the passer. Pitiful D line…Dax Hill is not a lockdown corner…he misses tackles also…the main issue was the contract with Jamar…it has divided the team…from jump street…plus bad play calling nothing innovative
Murphy hasn’t played this year, still to early to call him a busy
@@dustingoff8591 what has he done in a year and 3 games?
The tight end you had your was a rah-rah guy Joe Mixon was a rah rah guy y'all didn't pay him you let him go you need leaders of the team it wouldn't hurt to pay Joe makes a little more just to keep him there
Fire taylor.
Burrow is on suicide watch.
😂😂😂 not with all of them hundreds of millions.. he has STOLEN.
Joe seems sad and forelorn. Gosh lets hope The Carson Syndrome isnt setting in...as he watches Bates-Mixon-Readeer leaving. . Tee about to leave ...and Jamarr not getting his deal either.
I hope he leaves. He deserves better.
Is that gray hair from shtttty playing …..can be stressful!!!!!
If Andy Dalton puts the hatchet on the Bengals season… it will be the joke of the year.
The play calling is shit...on both sides. Dalton is going to look like a 250 million QB against this d
He's ready for the "spots" to work harder and show up. ❤Good for you, Joe Burrow! You're a good person with honest intentions so it'll be ok.
Just remember everyone. When the Brown family comes begging for stadium money. THIS is the best they can give you. Vote No on this ishh.
This whole “I need to be more of a leader” form Joe is shocking and making question if this guy is worth 200million… the relaxed attitude was cool his rookie year. We need someone to LEAD!!! Neither Zac nor Joe are leaders…. We’re doomed
I’m done with these bs cookie cutter interviews I need wins all my friends are clowning me for being a bengals fan I’m sick of it
One of you two need to push these guys. Don't let Zac call plays. Get in somebody's face. Too Feminine.
Shout out JT Barrett real solider real leader dude is as tough as they come
Hope Joe told Zach Taylor that something needs to change like the play calling
It's never consistent with offense/ defense stay consistent can't ball 1 week then next fail in defense horribly
All that talent and can’t win. Zac needs to go and defense needs to be rebuilt. Trade tee for d lineman.
We really need a positive video made for all the good, especially rookies and 2nd year players, that is happening right now to shake us fans out of the funk we're in:
1. Yoshi
2. Mims
3. Jenkins
4. Eric All Jr.
5. DJ Turner
6. Rehkow
7. Burton
8. Chase Brown
I hope I'm not forgetting anyone
But, can we get a summary of these guys (+ anyone else)?
Joe should MF everyone like Brady did
I can see a look in Joe's eyes that speak out. NFL look out. He looks fierce. I never seen him look so serious. He probably just got finished ripping the defense a new one for the 4th straight day.
Needs to study Brady, we need a psycho Joe
He's Joe Cool with the sheisty hair...
Not yet………………………WTF
We have turned into the ALL BARK NO BITE team now and it's terrible. All these grown millionaires need more vocal leadership??? We are a team full of cats, WE NEED SOME DOGS!
As Bengals we technically are cats. We just don't need pussy cats.
Woh day
First
Hard to stay optimistic when the defense is this bad. Not really seeing a solution even if Rankins and Hill are back. Crazy to have a must win game in week 4 but here we are.
need to let Dan Pitcher call the plays instead of Zac Taylor, Taylor just needs to be the head coach and let everyone do their job
Our offense wasn’t the problem bud
I don’t understand these comments, when our offense did just fine lmao, the defense was our downfall that game.
@@Chupapiyayaya I understand that but I feel it holds the whole system back and are not as explosive
@@kahunaky I agree our offense in 2 minute drill at the end was insane
@@kahunakywe had like 4-5 30+ yard plays

AHHH
UHHH
OHHH
Why its a wast of time u cant win ........
Wait an see😂
He's Joe Cool...maaan
LETS GO STEELERSSS!!!!
At this point we are one of the worst teams in the league. But we can only get better, and hopefully Andy Dalton dont beat the bengals this week, he looked pretty good last week, now I'm nervous cause we look like a team that could be picking either top 5 or 10 in the nfl draft smh😢😮
If Andy Dalton plays this week, he is going to spank the Bengals like Jayden Daniels did the past week. B-33-W-38
Joe is VERY into fashion. Not so much football.
Did he not do what he had to do the last game?
@@ImVirals he played well the last game. However, that would mean he has not played well for the majority of the games this season. When you pay someone a superstar amount, is it unreasonable to expect a superstar performance more often than not?
@@farkbodark7462 he played good against mahomes and better against the commanders he only slacked the first game imo but you can’t go toe to toe with pat mahomes if your “not so much into football” or throw for 300+ 3tds sure they could be 3-0 if it was the “joe cool” form 2021 or 2022 but it’s clear to me he’s putting his heart into it even if it’s not at the previous superstar level
Oh, for God's sake, he's definitely not the problem, he's doing great and unfortunately he can't play for others like you wish. and very into fashion? give a BREAK
Bengals gonna miss the playoffs that’s that
They might. Maybe it will get Taylor fired.
I don’t care. I got my huge contract I’m good. I’m gonna get my frosted tips touched up, we’re gonna make sure all our gold chains are shiny, and then polish our diamond earrings. Oh yeah, we’re gonna talk smack AFTER we lose and sulk around cause we’re not the highest paid position player in the NFL.
yea ok relax bro this team will be fine . What’s the difference between one more loss than 0-2 ? This team will fw ok
Hes not been the issue you clown. This fan base and city don't deserve him I swear 😂 hope he Palmers us, I really do. He deserves way more than this fan base and horrendous front office.
@@jtbear77 I’m relaxed. You just keep on hoping for better. We shall see what happens.
