This was a very messy game, wasnt it? You can tell he was panicking a bit because he made all the rookie mistakes. He piled multiple army groups on a tiny front line, fought for months on end in the mountains, clicked to start an offensive order in Poland while his troops were still in japan, had a 100k gun deficit but was still pushing on aggressive whilst losing thousands of men per second lol. Was like watching one of my games.
@@ACR909 Ive got almost 700 hours and im still not burnt out. The longest Ive ever stuck with a game in the past was RDR2 and Bloodborne, both at roughly 300 hours. This game is endlessly replayable. God knows what im going to do with my free time when ive burnt out on hoi4 lol

I heard that it was possible to bypass the fork in japanese focus tree the same way it was once possible to do for Germany by going anti-Hitler and bypassing Rhineland because apparently communist focus for Japan was bypassable if you were already a communist. Problem was that it needed outside influence to rise communism and it also was very good at resisting said influence. Was it fixed like german focus tree bypass?

did they remove the feature when you could swap your starting doctrine by researching one day of the next one and then swapping that research for the other tree?
Once I set AI Japan to go communist and while playing in Europe somehow Manchukuo became Communist Japan’s puppet after civil war. I think that’s because they did assertiveness which made them a puppet.
Hopefully, one day, you won't have countries with no access to you on the other side of earth joining a war on you while never being able to come and help. (there are manchuko ports but that is a very long trip to Asia (with no allies ports on the way - Iran maybe? - , where do they resupply coal/oil, repair till they are on manchuko coasts and then, how do they deal with mines and repair? ) with soldiers needed in Europe instead - and let's not talk about how Germany can supply its army despite a supply line with several month of travel - plus no Suez access quickly and no convoy protection till manchuko)
declare war on a major nation before the civil war, that would put you in a good position to win. it worked with my run to restore the Kaiser (I declared war on the allies before oppose Hitler, really helped.)
Don’t you get the ships back after the civil wars now? Not sure if it’s just the scripted German civil war when you oppose Mr H, or if it’s all of them. I noticed this just recently. The fleet splits at the start then (unless they are sunk) you get the other side’s ships back after it’s over.
Play as Argentina but with Señor Hitler and try to annex countries like uruguay,paraguay and bolivia and get Malvinas and south sandwich islands,for more difficulty you can´t ally with a major power to get Malvinas and sandwich islands.

I've really enjoyed your videos in the past, and they have even been a genuine bit of light in my life about a year ago when I was fighting with a substance abuse problem. But I'm unsubscribing. I don't write this to imply that you should do something about it, or even care, but only because I think I am far from alone. And I want to express my thoughts on the subject in a complete way. It's just not interesting to me to watch you do the same exact thing every video over and over. You pick a country, build lots of guns, and then conquer the world. Complete with cheesy order 66 thrown in. And bits of complaining about various game mechanics along the way. Namely the navy mechanics (genuinely pretty trash in all honesty) civil war mechanics, exploits not working anymore, or the game not going exactly your way due to you stubborn rigid strategy. If you are someone who likes to watch this please don't feel I am talking bad about you, because I have also liked this too in the past. And if you enjoy playing the game like this that's totally fine by me too. I just would like to see some variety from time to time. I think it would be fun to see some mods on the channel or maybe unique challenges. And when I say challenges I don't mean the memey sort of challenges, like artillery only, shovels only, tanks only, no army challenge, or whatever else. Im thinking more like hard scenarios like kaiserriechs 4th Balkan war or 2ACW. Hell maybe just play a small weak nation in vanilla and see how long you survive. I guess what I'd like to see is something that requires a bit of strategy to overcome the obstacles the game throws at you. I never start one of these videos and wonder how it's going to end, if your going to lose, what new ideas will be tried today. Anyway that's my rant over. As I said no disrespect to anyone who like to play the game like this, or simply watch the game played like this. I'm simply not interested anymore and wanted to explain why for myself if nobody else.

As much as it saddens me to read this, you might have a point. I have fallen into a routine to an extent. I do have some stuff going on right now, but I will try to revamp my channel a bit in a few weeks.

There is an easy way to do that, relatively speaking. Just preset Germany to Kaiser. Boost ideology and Czech as much as possible to make it faster.

You should try and fight both American Civil Wars. Both CSA and Union. You would have to go down Fascist and communist trees respectfully.
