Not better but there is less jungle gym to climb over getting in/out (you go on the side, very nice design), and it is much safer if raining. We can all slip and for instance if you miss a week or month from injury during prime cutting season, or even just have to go get stitches or break a finger and have to work with it, you'll see the advantage real fast. Only downside is on the lighter machines, if you use them like a dozer, bushings eventually wear, but maybe not worse than any other design. Good luck.

It’s safer for the operator when getting in and out of the machine, for it takes a while for the mulching head to stop spinning
