As you were asking for feedback, I think what makes these types of video great is if you can include what resale value you expect for the items and what you paid for them when showcasing them. Would love it you could include this!
Thanks man! That’s the reason I make these videos for all the ambient sounds in the background and the overall vibe, I want the audience to almost feel like your there. My other vids are more like highlight reels of the boot sale but I thought I’d try my hand at voiceovers and it seems to have gone down well! Thanks for subscribing too bro! More to come soon!
Voiceover was good, made it more interesting than just walking round a boot sale. The best bit of a boot video though is seeing you find the item on camera, buy it, say what you've paid for it and how much you think it's worth there and then.
Thanks bro appreciate the comment! Yeah I agree man, the problem I’ve got is as soon as I’m haggling/buying something the footage turns into a roller coaster with the camera pointing all over the place. I’m gonna try at least showing the items on the rails/floor and then obviously showing them at the end too. Eventually I learn better ways to film steadier but deffo need to incorporate more of the buying side in my vids!
My G! That’s the first feedback about my voiceover! Really appreciate bro, glad you like the style of the video too, I clearly over edit but i feel like it makes the video more entertaining!
Can’t believe after the all the comments I’ve had so far no one put this comment 😂 Although this is my video this exactly what I would’ve put, thanks for the comment bro!
Man, this is really interesting video! Voiceover also good, sounds nice with lower volume of main video. I have a question: Is it way cheaper to buy such things at car boot like this than in second hand markets?
That’s a tricky one to answer the cheapest places by far are rag houses but you can’t just buy one item, the lowest I’ve spent was around £100 just make it worth letting me in to look around. I’d say second hand markets are pre sourced stuff so they most likely know the value, the less hands the item passed through ultimately the cheaper it will be! Obviously car boot sales your buying directly from the owner but sometime things can still be a little expensive (especially depending on the area of the carboot). My number one rule of thumb when car booting is if it’s piled up on the floor it usually suggest that it’ll be on the cheaper side and if you see multiple high quality stuff on a rail it’s more likely they’ve sourced it all and it’ll be more closer to its actual value! Hope some of my ramble helped bro! Thanks for the comment too man and glad my voiceovers going down well!
Thanks so much! I wish I’d have done it to my previous videos! And the questions were just to help me remember what to say and not get lost on a tangent haha, I’ll do the same next time then too!
Thanks bro that means the world! Can’t believe I was gonna scarp this video and not upload it, glad I did because it’s messages like yours that make me want to keep making these little car boot videos!
So great to see a walk around my local car boot sales, I would have been at that A47 car boot. Sad the rain hasn't allowed them much this year so far, fingers crossed for the next two bankholiday wkends! Btw I have a multitude of vintage 70/80s maybe 90s good quality clothing, coats, shirts, tshirts, jeans, Levi jean jackets, shoes. I'm going to be selling them at the car boots, so maybe you'll find me!
The second one I went to was the A47 but I got there pretty late so didn’t find as much as Croft, I think the guy who runs the A47 also does stoneleigh the indoor carboot in kenilworth area, that one’s a really good one to check out if you haven’t before! I can’t wait for peak summer when all the boots are in full swing! Definitely! I’ll 100% come check it out hopefully you don’t sell all the best stuff by the time I get there, save some goods for me haha! Thanks for the comment btw!
Thanks for the comment bro! Yeah man it’ll come soon (hopefully) but I just need to think how I can make it an interesting video and not just me waffling for 10 minutes straight haha
Thanks for the comment! Yeah I always think that too, sometimes I see antiques or like retro video game stuff and wonder if there’s any value but I have to tell myself no as I don’t know enough to know enough about what I’m buying! I’ve always just solely bought vintage so that’s where my knowledge is!
Thanks that means the world! My videos are over edited and take me ages to make but I just want them to be as entertaining as possible and show how awesome car boot sales are! Glad you enjoyed the video! Some of my videos are a bit crap but “frosty beginnings” is a really good one to check out!
Your video came up in my search queue and I enjoyed it! Didn't mind the voiceover at all. I lived in England for 3 years and am back in California but one thing I miss from England were the car boot sales! I'm a collector by nature but want to in the near future resell items as I have a lot of tat (cool tat to me lol) and I'm always going to be collecting because it's fun. Love the reseller's videos because I love seeing the items and searching along! Good luck on your next car boot sale!
Thanks for the comment! Yeah I think that’s the goal for this coming weekend, it’s tricky balancing doing the negotiating and trying to remember I should be capturing this on camera!
@@Archyde If you're looking for format suggestions on your films I think the main elements from similar videos that seem to be successful that you seem to be missing is filming the actual finding of individual items and the related haggling and purchase. Then afterwards a review of the price you paid and how much you think you'll be able to sell it for. I would also lean more into your expertise in the vintage clothing world. Talk more about the brands and why they're popular etc. Also if you want to grow your channel really work hard on your titles so they grab the audiences attention. Again I would lean more into your niche - there's no mention of 'vintage clothing' in your title for e.g. I think that's a miss. Obviously also great thumbnails are key.
I love seeing someone trying to achieve there goal. I watch nic and Andrea hills they both so reselling but they are genuinely nice people who answer questions if you need help. For fun I watch Mike the scavenger he is so funny and just got 1/2 million viewers he doesn’t do what your doing but still he’s a great watch. Anyway good luck and keep going 😊
What a loverly comment I really appreciate that! I think my main goal is to get everyone to get down to there local car boot and have a good rummage! I grew up being dragged around the carboot with my mum telling me to put things down every 5 minutes haha! There’s a lot of good channels out there that focus on making money and there actual business as a whole, I want to show people how to find there own gems and share all my useless knowledge about vintage clothing, how to tell authentic it and tell the age of something! There’s so many bargains out there to be had so there’s plenty to go around!
Like the voice over , be good to hear more about labels and detail , you have so much knowledge. Like your car intro , I’m sure can get more creative in car boot too , may be fav random find you didn’t buy etc .. get up,the good work buddy .😊
Good vid mate but I agree with previous comments in the sense of maybe adding resale/comp prices as you pick them up so people can also learn from it. I would also maybe suggest investing in a GoPro with a body strap. You definitely have replay value and I think it’s worth investing in yourself bud! Keep up the good work pal
I only go every other weekend as I’m a little closer to the Birmingham ones but crofts always been a favourite of mine! If you see my backpack bobbing round say hi man always good meeting fellow booters!
Just subbed as I think voiceovers are essential to a good car boot video. There's a guy called Chris on TH-cam who does it too. Just breaks up the monotony. Cheers.
This is brilliant!!!! I'm literally down the road from this boot sale 😂😂love quorn car boot sale brings back some good old memories of going and setting up stall with my mum when I was a little girl lol brilliant times xXx xXx
Yeah man they’re both really good and theres measham too which isn’t bad either! I’d say Croft is the biggest/best of them all especially in like the peak summer when both sides are packet
Crofts is my hunting ground is a great boot then off to a47 , definitely enjoyed the voice over can relate to everything you said iam buzzing all week for the boots at weekend
Thanks for commenting bro! Yeah man Croft then A47 maybe even mesham and Moria if I’m not to lazy haha. The one I’m really looking forward too is “Holcot” it’s about 50mins away but it’s full of gems! If you ever see my backpack bobbing around give me a shout bro!
Hi.. Like the video. But don't like being in them. Due to having skin cancer removed on. My face.. Its taking me ages to pluck up courage to go to carboot again. 😢
Thanks for the comment bro and glad you liked the video hopefully it made you feel like you were there with me! So sorry to hear that man I’m sure you’ve really been going through it but one day I’m you’ll be back booting! All us booters are like a little community and we’ve gotta look out for each other! All the best bro, really appreciate you!
You need a chest mount man, barely see anything as the camera gets too close etc I prefer the ends of your videos, showing the goods and explaining stuff. The carboot part isn't as interesting as vloggers who pick up all random stuff, since u stick to your niche.. if that makes sense? I think it would be more productive for yourself if you just posted your pickups, why u bought them and how much u paid. Cut out the time spent editing etc.. guessing a lot less effort for yourself and less likely to burn out. That's my opinion But do whatever makes u happy man, all the best.
Thanks for the comment bro! I’ve thought about a chest rig or a clip on attachment to my backpack but I’m just not sure about having a camera directly on someone and my inner photographer hates the wide angle almost fish eye effect GoPros have haha. Definitely see what you mean about not showing the items as clearly it’s a lot easier with 3 dimensional objects verses static clothes on a rail but I’m gonna try see what I can do next week with some better angles. I thought the most boring part was the end so it’s good to hear that parts good! I might try expanding that part and shrinking the carboot part down (that’ll deffo help with the editing) Thanks again for the comment bro I’ll definitely take it on board!
Thanks man! I try to make the video’s as entertaining as I can so even if you’ve never booted before it still a good watch, everyone’s after different things but that’s the beauty of the boot sales you can literally find anything if you look hard enough haha
Yes to the voiceover!!!!!!! Keep them coming 💥
As you were asking for feedback, I think what makes these types of video great is if you can include what resale value you expect for the items and what you paid for them when showcasing them. Would love it you could include this!

I go eboot a fair bit on Saturday but must miss you. I'm usually gone by 8.
New subscriber, like the style of your video. Your voice is not annoying, you have good tone…so voice over is great.
My G! That’s the first feedback about my voiceover! Really appreciate bro, glad you like the style of the video too, I clearly over edit but i feel like it makes the video more entertaining!
Yo man, that was really entertaining I really enjoyed your voice over, please do that on every video from the future now on.

Voiceover is great and as a lover and reseller of all vintage items, I totally agree with the Sunday car boot vibes.
That bin would have been a bargain
Maybe bro haha but it could’ve been like £100+ I bet some rich dude would call that abstract art haha!
Thanks for the comment bro!
We know the drill mate,we "bin" there done that
I think if you position the camera so we can see the ones you get and the ones you pass up on that’d be cool 🤙
Hi, only been to Croft once but it was crazy busy with resellers.
Yeah sometimes it hit and miss but it’s always worth going round because it’s that one time you find something amazing! Thanks for the comment bro
I buy only antiques so it’s good to see what you walk past that would have snapped up and vice versa
