Antoanetta, you are so fabulous. Every video you do is at work of art, I’ve been thinking about moving to France from the USA. Like you I lived in LA, Long Beach for me, but then came up to the Midwest to help my daughter with some things, and because I am retired or at the age I can retire I wanted to come and live by the Mediterranean. I thought i would go to France, probably because I’ve been there a number of times, but now watching your videos I want to move to Spain, wow what a place and what wonderful people and glorious food…. The Spanish government should give you a commission for every good person that immigrates to Spain because of you…. absolutely love you. 🌺

Hello Antoanetta, I am lucky to have many Spanish friends who live in Valencià and Barcelona. I am French and live in Paris. I fell in love with this charming city where the Mediterranean atmosphere reminds me of my childhood memories. As the owner of an apartment in Valencià, I am always surprised by the kindness and courtesy of the Spaniards, who do not hesitate to help you if you find your way. Each video that you offer takes me back to this atmosphere that I particularly like. Thank you for sharing with us his very good moments. I'm going back in March 2023 for the FALLAS :-)

Well I’m up to 4 times a day. Sometimes I just have a glass of Gazpacho for breakfast or toast with tomato and fresh OJ. For 11:00 (merienda?) i have a small slice of tortilla de patata and a banana. Haven’t found to many restaurants for lunch at 2:30-3:00 where it’s €10, so I often cook at home. And at 8:00 pm, I have some olives, Serrano ham, little bit of chorizo, and a bit of well aged Manchengo cheese, and some wine. So the only full meal is lunch.

Hi Antoanetta. I was born in Valencia and I am living abroad for many years. I think there are some points you have to consider. First, the time in Spain: the former dictator Franco moved the time in Spain from London to Berlin long ago. So actually the "sun time" in Spain is 1 hour less. That's why people have a lunch at 2 because actually it is 1 but no one knows it. And sun dinner time is 8 and not 9....This change has mixed up everything. The concept of "Almuerzo" actually is "lunch", which is the term that Latinamerican people use for "comida". However, if you have dinner that "late" you are not very hungry in the morning for breakfast so maybe you prefer to start working and after a couple of hours take some snacks. This snakck they call it "almuerzo" but in Valencia, some people, take it too seriously. The best of that is that you let your body to eliminate toxins from the day before and helps you too to lose some weight due to the delay in having the first meal of the day (= intermittent fasting). Actually if you have a nice "almuerzo" you don't really need to take "comida" at 2, you can perfectly resist till "cena" or dinner. So, in my opinion, Spain invented "Brunch" long ago. Concerning working times. "Siesta" time is already a myth. Maybe old people do it but actually "lunch time" can be form 1 hour to 2 hours maximum but it depends on the industry you are working in. If you are a in shop and depending on the situation they may close from 1:30/ 2 pm till 4.30/5 pm but in Malls everything is open. Keep on doing! Regards.

I have breakfast at home, normally, coffee and a toast. The almuerzo in the bar, a beer and a couples of tapas. The lunch at home, normally an stew or in a bar, the menu del día if I do not want to cook, the merienda at the tea time is in the bar, time to socialize, yesterday I went to have a coffee and a pastry at four o'clock and I came back home at nine o'clock but my record for merienda was to go back home 2 days later. Finally dinner, a steak or fish an fruit, I eat more for dinner only if I go with friends to a restaurant. Five meals but in total not much food, may less calories that if you eat a burguer and a supersugared refresh. After dinner, about 12 o'clock in the night time to go to the pub. Hard life when you a retired.....

@@ANTOANETTA Hi there, let me jump into the conversation ;-). From your video it seems we're eating all day long 🤣🤣 but it is not like that. Mainly 3 meals ( breakfast, lunch, dinner) and then some snacks in between midday and teatime if you feel like It is optional - ex: you only had coffee for breakfast so then you go for "almuerzo", but if you had toast at breakfast it's not that normal or even advisable;-). I think that 's the point she is trying to make. 3 course meal it is not like that everyday for everybody at least when you eat at home but normal when going for a meal out at restaurants. Still, one thing is for sure: we like healthy food and it is really good quality and quite affordable. Best choice is fish if you like it. There is a great variety to choose from being Valencia a city by the sea. It is one of the things I miss the most when being abroad. I could not find "my Valencia style fish" when living in France, UK, NL and even Italy. It is quite unique and something to value and highlight. I just love it¡
