I could not agree more about how this world has brainwashed us since birth to fit into the matrix and ignore our own intuition!!! And then when we actually DO follow our intuition, we are the crazy ones!!!! I never even thought about that with the tampon ads, that’s an AMAZING observation and is the perfect example of how we are being programmed constantly. We must be aware of this and take our own subconscious programming into our own hands!!!! 🌟🌟🌟🙏🏼

The High Priestess card may be the feminine equivalent of the Magician. There is a synchronicity between them. It's been suggested that the symbols on the sheet behind her represent the tree of life from the kabala and the B and J on the pillars is Boaz and Jachin from Freemasonry. The black and White pillars also suggest that opposites do exist but can work together to hold up "the temple". She holds the scroll of the TORA meaning spiritual laws guide her. Intuition provides inner clues to lead the rational mind to find the needed answers.
Also shadow work is a good way to tap into subconscious and journeying through our Darkside and sitting with our triggers
I treat my intuition like a sacred strength that I desire to hear, feel, see. I seek my intuition & I pray to be really connected to it & to have that resounding internal ‘knowing’. I strive to look within for the answers that best suit me.

I try to always listen to my intuition. My gut feelings are always right. When I do ignore my intuition, do not listen then I usually regret it later. "Should have listened!" Now I listen.
I often ignore my own intuition only to find out later on that it was right. This alone has cost me so many heartaches and pain in my life. I can't overstate how wise and knowledgable our intuition is and how important it is to listen to it, and to give space to it. For me, my intuition is always something that scares me and therefore I try to ignore it, or explain it away. The reason I fear it is that it often prompts me in a direction that requires a leap of faith. Those leaps of faith usually create change, almost always for the better but it's always scary. When I listen to my intuition though I have such a strong sense of rightness about my world. Like the answer was right there in front of me the whole time. I feel my intuition most if not always when I'm on the cusp of great change. Either in life or in mindset. Great change requires great leaps of faith so my intuition is always something I'm wary of. Especially when I feel like I'm in a good place. But one thing I've learned is that your own, personal, true happiness and peace changes all the time. You have to be willing to change with. Thank you for the video, it's gotten me thinking and listening again. I appreciate it a lot.

Very spiritual card. She is very kind, compassionate and very intuitive.
I am extremely connected to my intuition! Its always spot on. 9 times out 10 I know when my intuition is trying to tell me something. It's that instant, matter of fact, voice that I can feel in the pit of my stomach!

I was pretty aware of my intuition at a really young age. I noticed I would be thinking someone was going to say something or something would happen and it did. Back when we had rotary phones (shows my age) I would guess who was calling and I couldn't believe how accurate I was. I knew if it was someone we knew or if it wasn't. I freaked myself out sometimes. So I learned to really listen to that feeling or pull I had about people and situations. It's served me pretty well. The times I didn't listen are times I've really regretted, but that taught me to trust myself better. The high priestess really makes me think about psychic potential.
I trust my intuition. There are countless examples in my life where I’ve kept an open mind and learned things that went against the majority. One of my favorite quotes is from Mark Twain “when you find you are part of the majority it is time to reform”. So for many years I have followed intuition even if it’s going against the grain and what everyone else thinks, does, or believes.
One of my problems is trusting my intuition. I’ve been working a lot closer to the cycles of the moon, even farmers almanac speaks about planting and doing things with the cycle of the moon. Thank you for posting this, there is a lot I have to work on. Most of all trust in myself.
i was asking myself to connect more with my intuition, and the high priestess started to appear.
When I was younger, I would talk about my intuition. However, I was always told it was just me worrying. Later, in my teens it was then seen as anxiety. Don't get me wrong, anxiety is real and something I personally deal with daily. However, I have learned to distinguish between my intuition and anxiety. By doing this, I have realized not all my anxiety is actually anxiety but my intuition that was always shutdown by people saying I was worrying to much or that is just your anxiety.
Thanks for sharing this, Jessica. That's interesting. Do you mind telling me how you differentiate between anxiety and intuition? I used to have a similar issue but I find that my intuition speaks to me in an emotionally neutral way - like it will give me info, but that info isn't emotionally charged, unless I think too much about the info and then develop an emotional or anxious reaction to it.
@@DailyTarotGirl my anxiety pertains to particular triggers. I have taught myself to recognize those triggers. A lot of my anxiety triggers my heart rate and breathing. More of a physical reaction. I have learned to notice how my body reacts. My intuition I feel in my gut and my mind. It sounds funny but it makes my body feel completely different. Kinda like a tingle or a uneasiness. I hope that makes sense.
First of all, I want to thank you for making this video's. I'm just bought a tarot card deck that I want to work with. I'm doing this for the first time, and listening as well as taking notes actually makes me better understand the cards.
As for the question regarding my intuition. I can't tell if it's always been this way, but whenever I have to do something and my gut feeling tells me not to do a speficiek activity, I always listen to it. I'm actually very thankful for it, because some of the time an accident happens regarding that speficiek activity I wasn't supposed to do.
Whenever I feel lost or when I have a lot on my mind, I begin having conversations with myself, and it actually helps me to either clear my mind or tells me what it is that I should be doing first to reach my goal.
Even though it's normal for me, I never thought much of it, but after listening to this video, it makes so much more sense to me now.

This is the best teaching of the High Priestess, I had her in my spread today on "What part of me, I don't dare to see?" and My first insight was the power my intuition and denying my inner voice, self doubting that part of me. I love the High Priestess, she has been with me all this year as I have been learning and growing in Tarot reading and practicing daily meditation. I think you answered the best on how to tap into our unconscious, I wasn't familiar to some techniques you mentioned, but I did google them and learned new things today. I am using the "drawing one card per day" method (as I inquire about "What this day will bring?"). Recently (due to the way I am drawing the card) the deck is determining it will be two cards. The ideas you are presenting is another method I will employ. I am interpreting it to be just another method to work towards the same objective. Thank you for this information. It is "new to me".
I always listen to my intuition after learning the hard way. I sometimes didn't use to listen to it and it would always come back and bite me in the ars!

I feel like my intuition was a needy child. I felt like my mother telling it to shut up. When you are not listened to as a children I feel we shut down everything. I was told I was always wrong no matter what so I questioned my intuition it must be wrong. Now I get pissed if I don't listen to my intuition I usually end up getting into trouble 🤣. More then anything I want to be very intuitive. Sometimes I get moments of intuition. Like for examples, I’ll be talking to someone or texting somebody. I don’t know these people but what’ll happen is I’ll get this thought” I wonder if they are psychic “. So I ask them and more time then not they say they are. Just a few days ago I was communicating with someone on Facebook messenger. They were interested in something I had listed for sale( for a friend) so I had that thought about whether they were intuitive.I asked her if she was really intuitive and she said yes. There’s been little things here and there. Problem is I suffer from major anxiety so I feel it gets in the way of knowing whether what I’m thinking or feeling is an intuitive thought or feeling. I’ve been using tarot cards for awhile but haven got far with them. My memory is very bad. The card that I probably know the best is the hermit. But what always comes to mind first is Virgos as astrologically it represents Virgos. It comes up a lot when people are doing readings for me. But some of the readings have been in regards to this part Virgo friend. Even when I don’t ask about him in the reading that card comes up

So I answered the questions, it was super ineferesting, I used the Everyday Witch tarot cards.
How can I best move between the conscious and subconscious parts of myself?
- by turning inwards, being open while focusing on my inner energy, being quiet and focused, by using tarot cards.
How can I better honour my natural energy cycles?

This was a joy to take in and very educational. Intuition has been an important part of my life for as long as I can recall. I would be totally lost without it. I bought my first, and only, tarot deck a little more than a year ago but I ran across so many different meanings for the cards based on different sources that it overwhelmed me so I put it away until just a couple of weeks ago. I am drawn to reading based on intuition which will help me quite a bit. I chose the Gilded Tarot as my first deck as the images really speak to me. I saw that was an early deck for you but as Chuck Woolery would say, there was no love connection for you. I appreciate you sharing your gift for teaching.

I think you taking a more intuitive approach to learning the cards is a great way to go about it. Yes, I had the Gilded Tarot early in my Tarot journey and did lots of readings with it while I was learning but eventually just felt I couldn't connect with it so a friend of mine got it.
Wow, thanks! I was cleaning out my watch list and saw you/this. I am now retired and have set out to "re-learn" tarot (I was being taught to read about 30 years ago and then life took me other places. When you started talking about the High Priestess my mind immediately went to Persephone, so I paused and looked up HP Persephone connection. Yes! I do know Persephone, so now already I feel I know the High Priestess. Also I have felt somewhat out of sync since retirement, don't know when to sleep, wake up, so things, etc...just kind of lost. Menstrual periods are way in my past, but the moon...I will try that. Dream journaling? I used to do that maybe 40 years ago, recording and then transcribing every dream which allowed me to search and find themes when my dream journal turned into a double D notebook...not sure why I quit. This has given me so much to thinks about!

Tapping into the subconscious mind makes me think of the dream world. Last night I felt I had the same dreams as the previous night. I think I have recurring dreams. My daily journal card pick was the High Priestess, which brought me to your channel today. I ignore my intuition. Maybe I should listen more for my intuition. Maybe that is the message of the card. I understand the veil symbolism of the card more now I think. Thx.

I just have this thought deep in my head that the SOUL is a gift from the Almighty and it already knows everything that's gonna happen to me. That's why it sends messages to me from time to time which we call "intuition", " gut feeling" etc..

The problem I have is recognizing if a thought is my intuition or if it’s just negative emotion, because if something gives me pause before I act, it’s never in a good way. Ignoring it rarely produced the bad event I was worried about. On the other hand, it’s often in hindsight that I can see my intuition was probably at work although at the time I would have had reasons for decisions that led to certain events.

You asked about ways to tap into the subconscious and anyone who is artistically inclined already does this naturally when they are creating
It doesn’t really matter what they’re creating as long as their intention is to create some thing is from the heart
something that doesn’t come from the mind
It could be listening to some type of meditative music or binorial beats shamanic drumming or yogic music it could be trance music
But usually participating in something that you intend to do that gives your life meaning by improving it in someway I could be meal preparation laundry gardening drawing or coloring
Our first language is images
Just lying on your back with the music on softly pain in the background and it can be classical music even and just clearing your mind and not thinking about anything
You can have a journal next to you and if something should pop that’s usually the subconscious communicating something to you and I would make notes about it it could be a word give me an image he could be an animal it could be a reminder from spirit perhaps a phrase
It doesn’t have to be so complicated but you need to be still you need to be completely absorbed in whatever it is that you’re doing but not mentally
Driving is a form of meditation
So I was dancing especially when you’re by yourself
When you have a lot of distraction a lot of static and noise around you television cell phones Internet social media children and all this chaos you’re trying to micromanage everything and you start feeling like you’re coming undone and it’s because you’re not connecting with yourself now you’re just living in the Mundane world and there appears to be
but there is so much more
Sometimes people take time out of their day to use a Bible to divine a important message to sELF some people use oracle cards some people use tarot
But it can simply be meditating on pictures that you’ve taken pictures of yourself or some loved ones possibly travels and you’re here or you’re feel something and you should notate
Messages can come synchronistically in images along your day could be words that you hear on the radio and then maybe the television things that will trigger you and if you have those moments write them down and focus on the word without thinking
But one of the most important things you can do is build a very healthy relationship with sELF
If you talk to yourself your subconscious will answer you
How do I know? I do it all the time.
If I’m talking to someone in a question enters my mind there’s a good possibility I’m going to ask that question before that person ever answers me the answer will come from my higher self
With enough persistence in practice importantly, play
A new world will open to you if you trust it it will get stronger and it will get louder
Personally I do feel that this is why many people are disconnected from their intuition. They discredit it they doubt it they disbelieve
They hush it and they allow their mind to override it
It’s become the new norm but we are not designed this way so it is extremely important to reverse what you’re doing as you were taught and as you were conditioned and learn a better way of communicating with yourself. Your inner dialogue should be very honest even if it’s not really what you wanna hear.
In the last six years I have developed quite a bit and it came from trauma after trauma. I didn’t have a choice and I have to say that I am extremely grateful for that opportunity to continue growing is it has enriched my life in ways I cannot even express
For many many years almost 2 decades the high priestess has been extremely significant for me
It started out when I started having visions very vivid dreams as well as apparitions
That time I was extremely disconnected. I started to reach out to initiates from the occult world
In hopes of having a better understanding of myself
And experiences that I was having
Spirit got a hold of me at the age of 39 I will be 54 in July
And literally drag me for 5 1/2 months straight
Everything in my life changed
My eating
my sleeping
my daily practices
my thoughts
my feelings
literally everything
Consciously I didn’t make that decision. Subconsciously it was time. Everything in my life was in disarray and it had been that way for a very long time. I got to the point where everything was spilling over. Chaos started to ensue strangers would show up at my door and everything was on the table for questioning
I was extremely uncomfortable. In private I had started doing a lot of prayer work. I was doing it through social media if anyone remembers my space. I had an account named perfect love. Andrew Gonzalez is a phenomenal artist and I used one of his images as my avatar. My daily ritual was to put out a message and this message was not only for others but it was for myself. It was divinely orchestrated. The images of the quotes the stories and hidden music player
It was an absolute masterpiece
At the time I wasn’t aware that it was my intuition and my subconscious leading that dance
I started to see a synchronicity in the response from the people that would come to request me as a friend and comment on the bulletin that I posted every single day
And then there were people who I felt were much more spiritually involved that were coming asking me for guidance (?)
I was very confused
But it seem to be quite natural and I enjoyed it very much because I gave my life meaning by giving me a purpose
I was a recluse. Living in the country in a home with three children a relationship that was long dead I’m just trying to push through every single day doing things that were required of me. But this was my little slice of heaven that took on a life of a town. After 1000 people and became quite overwhelming. I was actually sending out these posts to every person individually and also doing the main post on my bulletin.
My two eldest children were having to help me do these posts because it was so much work
But my point about the high priestess as it attracted other initiates also ones that I wasn’t seeking.
The ones that I did communicate with that I saw it to converse with or better understanding of what was taking place in my life at that time were very harsh with me. I had been accused of some insane things as in being an imposter pretending to be a female when I was really a male which of course was not true. Accusations of being some type of a dark entity who had malice intent towards those individuals or others. Looking back I realize that the more the light the more the darkness will come. We tend to doubt ourselves and we internalize the projections of others. It had gotten to the point where I was so highly intuitive when my children brought friends, I would observe them for a short period of time and information would begin to flood in and wonder resume appropriate moment to speak on that I would. Later they would in private have conversation with my children who would come back and tell me how absolutely floored some of these individuals were.
The initiates were so perplexed by my presence because also the post that I was making randomly as I was intuiting things were heading home for people but rather than affirming that they would go to their Taro and pull cards. Some of these individuals were in the secret brotherhoods of Freemasons some of them were a cultis that had been studying for 20+ and even 30+ years. The comments in private message were quite insulting at times but they were also some individuals that would throw out the cards that they felt were the most important that kept coming up when they were performing readings in relation to me. One of those carts was high priestess.
Admittedly, I didn’t know much and I still don’t know enough even though I had made an attempt at understanding the tarot it just seem to escape me
It appeared that it was too complicated or intentionally over complicated so that people would be afraid of it or perhaps they wouldn’t even attempt because the knowledge can go very very deep
I gave it a good go and I felt inadequate therefore I walked away from everything after having had so many negative experiences with these individuals I felt like it was just best
Well recently I decided after spirit pushed I should find a deck that resonated with me and after buying many decks I just didn’t feel a connection but I did locate a deck that resonates deeply or perhaps it’s just time
Most things do happen in divine timing and when we try to force them it just doesn’t stick
So I have a good start with many decks sitting in storage for the time when I am better versed in traditional tarot
The reason why I was looking for a video such as this was because recently she has come up quite a bit in the readings or the drawings that I’ve done for myself and I like to hear the perceptions of this card not only for the technical information about it but the intuitive information that readers have which differs from one to the next.
I think in the last few days she’s come up at least 10 times but this morning when I pulled my card she was the first one
I have to say that in all these years she’s probably been the most favored of them all however as I learn more about each one of the cards and I truly don’t know enough, I find that even the ones that are less desirable have such a beautiful message
I think this awareness has brief new life into learning more

I've a complicated relationship with my intuition. I can count on one hand the number of times it's actually been helpful over the course of my life. It's let me down more often than not so it's kinda hard trying to rebuild trust in it.
I hear you on this. I think it's sometimes tricky to distinguish our intuition from our fears and hopes.
@@DailyTarotGirl For example, I'm flat hunting. A while back I got an alert from a site that a new flat was posted up. I get these often, most times they don't work out, so I expected nothing. It seemed nice, allows cats, nothing special. But I had a strong and immediate intuitive feeling that this was it. I went to check it out that same day and it was perfect, the people were perfect, it was three minutes walk from my university. Everything I needed and then some. Little things added up perfectly. Right down to them needing a dryer and I just happen to have one and it's the only big appliance I have. But they ended up not choosing me.
It wasn't me getting mixed up with fear or hope as so many assume. It was like any other hit of intuition and nothing came of it but disappointment and more distrust.
I don’t really get intuition or instinctual feelings, but when I do they’re usually opposite. For example, meeting a new coworker I thought I wouldn’t connect with, but she has been along time best friend!
I listen to my intuition because it will yell loudly to guide me, the times I have not I have paid heavy for it.
I get confused with my intuition because i have extreme anxiety and i overthink a lot. But im working on it.
I'm 55 and retired so I have no cycles lol!

I think the topic of conditioning is really interesting and when you mentioned babies - they are definitely conditioned not only by the parent's reactions as a whole, but also when we think about using diapers. One of the most helpful teachings from your videos has been the idea that every card has a dark side. What is the High Priestess's dark side? Would it be dwelling too long in the subconscious world? Becoming too passive?
I'm so glad you find that concept of a card's "dark side" so helpful! It definitely helps make the cards seem more multi-dimensional, I think. The High Priestess's dark side could be keeping destructive secrets, hiding something or gate keeping as a form of power (not protection).

I am early on in the learning process about Tarot. I’m really enjoying your videos. I particularly like your deep dive into the high priestess. I would love to see more videos like this. I did have one question that I was hoping you could answer. I just recently started journaling on the major arcana. I was intrigued by the letters on this particular card. Do you know what they represent?
Glad you enjoyed this, Lauren :) I couldn't remember what those letters meant so I looked it up in my book "The Tarot: History, Symbolism and Divination" by Robert M. Place. This is what it says: The "B" and "J" on the pillars stand for Levi's Boaz and Jakin, "the two symbolic pillars that in the account in I Kings 7:15 - 22 are said to have stood to the north and the south of the door of Solomon's Temple." There you go!

I really enjoyed and learned from this video. That book is on my wish list now. Intuition is a confusing thing at times. Years ago, I would often know about really bad things that were happening and it frightened me, so I actually requested that this gift be turned off, and it was. Now, I "think" I would like it back, but not for bad things. Does that make sense?
Glad you enjoyed this video, Jean! And YES, what you say makes perfect sense. I had the exact same experience when I was a young teen - I would get these very vivid images of catastrophic things happening before they happened. It frightened me and then that part of me got turned down quite a bit until I was older and felt more open towards it. Since re-igniting my intuition I don't get those scary visions anymore thankfully.

Hi Kate, do you recommend working with the Marseilles deck in a similar fashion? I find the symbols (or lack thereof) in that type of deck difficult to work with and I’m wondering what you think. Also, congrats on being self-employed! Is it Tarot related by any chance or another business?

The B & J means Boaz and Jachin. They were supposed to be the 2 bronze pillars in Solomon's temple in the Bible.
Ideally, all the cards covered would explain the symbolism on the card.
I find them mysterious as a whole and wonder where the meanings came from. Perhaps Pamela Smith imbued some meanings for Waite?
I know about Visconti-Sforza deck from the 1400's
Pretty connected to my intuition but it’s also illogical. It’s not always true since it’s a perceived reality rather than truth. I’ve seen it be wrong and also right. For me, it create a duality within that can translate as an indecisive and wavering type of person. Probably disassociating to remain in the current reality.
My intuition is getting there! My intentions are certainly less ego driven than before so one can only hope.
