As a kid me and my friends all referred to the Goldshire inn meme as Moon Guard's Goldshire, or just Moon Guard. It was the only server we ever heard about having ....that, as a reputation. And as dumb kids we did not believe it so the group of us (bunch of kids in the age range of 6-12) decided it was a good idea to see if the rumors where true (because our Goldshire literally consisted in the group of us dumb kids being kids and then like sometimes adults that would yell at us to go somewhere else or they would just duel each other). So we dared each other to make humans, then grouped up and went to Moon Guard's Goldshire and before even getting into the inn we had seen to much...but we went into the inn anyway, regretted our life decisions, exited the game and deleted our toons.
The Barrens chat was more of a meme platform than just a meme itself. We would constantly talk of the supposed feats of Chuck Norris as well as many murloc things (they were a frequent subject, I don't recall what about though).

Funny thing about Barrens chat. In Russian servers we like to spam "Happy Birthday, Serioga!" (Serioga is an informal version of the name Sergey) for no goddamn reason. There is no actual Sergey and every day is his birthday apparently. I remember in Nov 2021 me and my bf jumped into season of mastery. We ended up in the Barrens and low and behold Sergey was having his birthday even in a SoM server.

Barrens chat is where I remember the Chuck Norris memes and ANAL memes originating from. Before Cataclysm, the Barrens had lots of long winding quests so we spent a lot of time there. People began losing their mind and the general chat memes began. It was a beautiful time to be alive.

I successfully escaped the trashfire that is ActiBlizz and migrated to FFXIV years ago. Sure, there's some aspects of WoW I miss and FFXIV isn't perfect, either, but it is a far friendlier place to live in, with devs that actually listen and a community that isn't toxic to all hell. I hope WoW will become better again someday, so I can play it again, next to FFXIV, but my hopes are slim.
