we have been using 3 GH4s since 2015 filming multi camera live events, Nine years of 100% video capture, no dropped framed, no OS issues, no SD card issues, no problems at all, we even connect and control cameras via WiFi and smart phone App. Maybe you purchased a bad second hand unit that may have been dropped or abused by the previous owner ??
Might be the case, there wasn't any scratch or hints of abuse but who knows? Though your experience is good to know, will take that into consideration.
The GH series are some of the most robust video production cameras I’ve used. Your GH4 must be one of few GH cameras that have these issues. Sorry you experienced this, but please don’t let it put you off other Panasonic cameras. The GH5 and GH5 II are video making monsters.
Youre complaining about a used GH4 in 2024… Get a GH6 ffs. «I bought an iPhone 3GS and its giving up on me. Dont buy iPhone» lol And still, GH4 is a workhorse. You bought a defective used camera. The guy you bought it fro prob used it in his pool
I didn't use it so much so maybe it's not brand new tech but I never ever had a camera with low mileage with these types of issues. Also the iphone needs updates to stay up to date with current tech, while the GH4 has the same operating system from the start and doesn't need to follow other tech requirements. So comparing the lifespan of an iphone with the one of a GH4 isn't really a good analogy. I also have other cameras to work with and that one had never been used intensively.

Still using the GH4 till date. Zero issues.
It's most definitely a defective GH4.
Thanks, that was my assumption so you’re confirming it’s not such a common issue.
You make valid points.
Thanks

Thanks for your feedback, that's good to know
The GH4 is a great camera, but do yourself a great favor and get the GH5, it will make your life way easier and will never go back , best of luck
Thanks, will take all the comments including yours into consideration
Did you accidentally upload a video from 2015?
GH4, 7D, miniDV could be considered retro tech nowadays…
Not at all, I just don't buy the latest gears on the market
@@GaetsKrop I still do use my GH4R, never had these issues though, might be a defective model. I do not think it is on the market now.
