Beautiful kitchen. Love all the different pieces. If you had more storage it would just be filled up. I really like all the pottery pieces. Thank you so much for sharing.
Beautiful!! Love anything French. I’m creole … mixed with France, African American, Spain. I lived in Germany/France when my dad was in the service and it was magical. Ever since my dad died in 2020 it’s all I think of is going back. But honey don’t stop or just do certain videos of the kitchen. Some of us love seeing that. Have a blessed week ahead . Adore your kitchen and pantry options.....just so simple and elegant! The Smeg appliances are stunning as well so might copy our simple design ideas when installing a "new" kitchen in my Loire Lavender Barn conversion. The orchard will soon begin to give you the most wonderful fruits......so I expect to see you canning fruits and making jams soon. What a treat that will be for you and Justin PLUS your B&B guests. Again, a stunningly beautiful vlog and so happy to get the tour of the kitchen and pantries! Cheers!
Bonjour Jill! Thank you for following our progress! Many may not remember that the kitchen was once the pig pen. 🤣 It has the lowest ceilings and the narrowest space compared to our other rooms below but it’s perfect and a manageable work space. How will we will be able to see your progress? Will you have a channel? Instagram to share your progress? We did google your fabrics… lovely. All the best with your Loire collaboration.
@@Frenchcountryfriends What a coincidence!!!!! My kitchen area has an old piggery on the back of the barn, so I'll convert that nice area into a 1/2 bath, laundry room and pantry. I'll probably do instagram and facebook to keep you informed. The British chap doing my renovation has a youtube channel, so he'll include some of my construction projects on his channel. I;ll give you a hoot when we start filming! Cheers!
Your kitchen, and all of your home is beautiful! I would love to have a kitchen just like it instead of my old American farmhouse one filled with ugly cabinets and counter tops..but, I'm probably too old to start over..lol..I love seeing this kind of content, along with the thrifting, which I love to do here..please show more of both
I like the colors you use. They integrate perfectly into your surroundings. My husband is French, so we go there often. The lack of screens to keep out mosquitoes & other insects astonishes me about France. Do you ever think about adding them? One morning last summer, I woke up covered in mosquito bites in Bandol. One other comment: Please consider wearing a helmet when up on a ladder. Our friend André in Béziers was badly hurt after slipping off his ladder. Another friend in NY died after falling off one.
Not having screens was an adjustment when I moved to Europe first to Sicily in 2011 but since then I’ve adjusted. We do think about adding them but honestly don’t come across any mosquito problems, even in Paris. The flies mainly but they fly back out and just the occasional spiders. 🕷️
I discovered your TH-cam channel recently, I really like your simple and also very refined style. We have many tastes in common, fat pots, copper utensils, flowers, cooking, flea markets, Emmaus... Your house is absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for these nice little trips with you 😻😻😘❤️

You know, I met my American best friend Laura (Leftcoastrevivals) on TH-cam, we were virtual friends for years, before we met in Paris last year. À bientôt 😘
You have a beautiful home and I love your kitchen. I agree with you, the more space there is, the more objects one tends to collect (and forget about). I would love to get rid of half of the gadgets we have collected (and some cabinets too).
Yes we do, I use it and like it. I wash the lettuce, spin it dry and then store the lettuce in the fridge. We have salads every day and this makes it easier have it ready.
If your kitchen works for you, then that is all that matters. It looks great by the way.Wish I could be a minimalist but alas I am more of a hoarder. I think I would need more counter space, but with all the counter space we have, it is all covered with stuff by my son and husband, so having a table that works as a island you probably have more work space than I do.🙂 As for the pantry, I would opt for some off the floor storage myself with an open cabinet with shelves to put the crocks on so I wouldn't have to bend down to get to things. Aging is not kind to one's back.
I would appreciate not bending down. I’m serious about constructing our own multi tiered rustic benches…thank you so much for taking the time to comment and sharing with us! 🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶
Hi. Just saw your video. You tube has been all messed up. I love your orchard. Great job Justin. I love your sweet kitchen. My kitchen is crammed with teas, spices, herbs, Berkey, etc cabinet doors fallen off, drawers barely functional. I cook lot too. Colder here soon. Been very dry. Rain tomorrow. I'm over wintering peppers indoors. Nice to see you.
Teas, spices and herbs, I imagine the aromas are lovely in your kitchen Rhonda. 💕 Would you be willing to take of the cabinets doors and leaving them open space or hanging curtains?
@ourfrenchcountryfriends5678 yes I would like that. T. Y. That ladder looks so scary. You be extra careful. I know you are. Front of house looks great. That Hairy is a lot work.
Lovely & very serene. Had you considered moving your armoire to the kitchen to save on steps? How about a small cart/trolly on wheels, which could be used near the dishwasher, stove or next to the sink. One single shelf may add to the coziness.
The kitchen is perfect when it makes you happy whenever you enter it. The view from the window is enchanting. I bought the pitcher collection from you and can't wait to see them on our new countertops we just added. Cooking and even doing dishes is much more enjoyable now. Thank you for your videos. 🍃Sabine
We have been living since 30 years in our 1920 house. We painted the cabinets and put a tile floor in at the beginning. Last year the fridge died and was replaced. The countertops are whitish quartz with grey glass pieces. The whole kitchen looks more fresh and happy. We have a french marble bistro table in one corner and a couple black chairs. Our stove is old, but fits to the style of the house and I hope it can be repaired if it stops working someday. I appreciate you finding all the french vintage pottery and sell them for such a reasonable price. I wished shipping would not have gotten so expensive in the last years. My German family is stopping this year to send Christmas presents because of the shipping. One reason I am getting presents for myself. Not sure I can wait till Christmas though.😉
Very kind of you Linda, thank you! We are still looking for some type of unit for the side wall so we can use that to help store plates and pottery! (An obsession 🤣) Happy New Year 2024!
I love everything about your home i always wish to create a home like yours but I always say to myself unless you have the beautiful Surroundings it’s never going to be the same .
I love your kitchen! I live in a 2 BR apt. and have a small kitchen. I seem to use it the same way you do. In my home ( before living here) I ha a large kitchen with all the bells and whistles. But I knew the small kitchen wouldn't bother me because my sis-in-law had a small kitchen in her home snd I use to help her cook on holidays for 20-30 people. We had no problems! ♥️♥️♥️♥️😘
I’m glad to read that you didn’t have difficulty adjusting to a smaller space. I wound hope that we all welcome the changes and see them as positive ones! Less to clean & less to store & less fess! 🤣🙏💕
Love your kitchen, although I might need some wood work tables on each side of the stove, but the simplicity is so beautiful. I have a traditional American kitchen with lots of cream cabinets and a large island in black wood cabinets. It was what I wanted 10 years ago and still love the cream color (I am all creams and light browns) and I do have a lot of stuff in those cabinets. I am constantly trying to clean out and get rid of items but I am sentimentalist and have a hard time letting go :). Love all you do in your home and absolutely love your house. Would love to have a tour of the entire house sometime in the future (but know that can be hard). Thank you for all your hard work on these videos
