There is a book that i am currently reading a book called "sensitive is the new strong” where the author challenges the common belief that ego is detrimental to spiritual growth. Instead, she argues that for empaths, a healthy ego is essential since is where we can also find the willpower to actually set boundaries, use our gifts to be at service. "As empaths we need to strengthen their egos to avoid prioritizing others’ needs above their own”
