It's really nice to hear you enjoy your job, even having fun. Back when I worked, I really enjoyed my job, but some days were very difficult. Not the work, the people I had to work with!! I mean, some people I grew to despise. There were 1200 people employed at my building, including office personnel. It seemed every department had a couple, at least that were real bad people. Your crew is small, and everyone seems to be friends. That is gold. The red concrete and the pattern is so beautiful. I love the diamond pattern at the end of the drive. Getting paid to have fun and create beautiful additions to beautiful homes is a dream job. I want to watch this every day. I couldn't if you didn't share, so thank you for sharing. More please.👍❤️🙏🇺🇲🇺🇲
I sold materials to a local concrete supply company several years ago in St Louis. On a hot and steamy summer day I saw one of their employees pick up a bag or red coloring and throw it over his shoulder. BAD IDEA especially when you’re all sweaty! Bag broke on his shoulder and was all over him! He was easy to spot for quite a while!😂
Yep! I was doing a patio demo and we found a septic tank under that the homeowner had no idea was there. Wasn't until the breaker dropped quickly that we discovered it. Don't know how it would've held up driving a 5 ton piece of equipment over it!
Good morning Tom, This is certainly a humble little place----WOW!!!! Got to say that that has to be 1 of the cleanest demos ever. Very little mess from what I see on video. Nice job😊😊!!! Totally caught off guard with the mixer seemingly having issues at the very beginning. I would have thought that base was tight?? Oh well, Dale got it done. Can't wait to see sealer on the center part and the diamond insets. Really sharp looking, but you've got to have a grand house such as this to pull that look off----totally MY opinion 🤔🤔
mytee products has some ground mats for sale at around $220 each for 4x8 mats. I have no idea if they are of the quality and durability you need, but you mentioned them being ridiculous the other day at around $400 each, so I though I would pass the word to you about them. I found them because Peerless chain company links directly to them now for some reason and I was looking for some ratchet binders they sell.
Great job! The video really highlights the process of preparing and executing the demolition and concrete pouring. It's interesting to see how carefully you handle the rebar and manage each stage. I was impressed with the attention to detail, especially in the design and color.
It's great to see a job that's not in one of those developer housing plans that all look the same. I call those "prison cells". I know they can be your bread and butter and that's great for your business. But these custom home projects are my favorite. Love the channel
I know if I was doing that project I would have to plan lamp post replacement costs right from the beginning of the quote, because there is no way I would make it through that job without taking out at least one of them and probably more, but that's what makes you the G.O.A.T. !!!! Got the correct first name and all !!
TOM, you could go crazy if the customer wanted to add stamping and two tone color to the drive, along with herring bone borders in red! Sheesh! Looks great though! Good stuff!
I very much enjoy the content and appreciate all the effort involved in producing so much content, I am a big fan of the channel! If I may make an observation, with the hope of providing beneficial corrective criticism, all the quick jerky footage is very difficult to watch , especially when it is for extended durations. Thanks for sharing your professionalism and patron with us.
Nice job Tom! :) really like that herring bone red brick - beautiful.... Probably be the Pride of the neighborhood. BYW does the sealer keep the red color from walking off into the house? I figured something sprayed on would stop it and seal it from fading :) thanks ❤💯🙏
How far from job site accepts your demo material? Do they recycle it? Quite a process and add on to contract. Love content and care to each unique job site.
I've done a couple of stencilled jobs where the red pigment is dry thrown then rolled into the concrete after applying a paper stencil. When the stencil is removed the gray concrete "mortar joints" are revealed.
Outstanding work, Tom! That driveway looks amazing. You seemed to have less men on this job or is it that most of your men were of screen? Keep up the amazing job
I've watched 5 or 6 videos now and I think you might need to buy a few more batteries for your camera. You do good, very good work but we would like to see more of the process. If you missed filming content don't tell us. It just makes us viewers feel like second class citizens. As your channel grows think about getting someone, a family member maybe, to help with the camera work. Your project takes precedence over filming, I understand.
@@Concretewiththehauses спасибо за ответ! Данная толщина плиты предназначена для проезда только легкового транспорта или допускается движение грузовых автомобилей?
Yeah... there's something wrong with me... some sort of motion sickness. It's really hard to watch the hat or chest cam you use without feeling sick. I much prefer your wide angle time lapse stuff so I can see the whole job. I know people like the close up stuff... but it seems like you are doing more of that and I can't keep up with where you are in the overall job sometimes. I love these projects, and thanks for sharing them with us. Opens up the possibilities of concrete ... that's for sure.
The work is great as always. However, the color is not. Does nothing to add to the curb appeal of the house. Probably will be pink in a few years. Always enjoy your videos and superb work of the crew. Very enjoyable and informative.
More likely to darken towards brown, and will take decades to do so. Iron oxide based pigment. Exactly the same pigment as naturally is in red brick clay
@ronallen6578 shit as expensive as concrete is now that was probably 50,000 & and yeah, at that point I would definitely have those steps ripped out as well. I think that colored red concrete looks like poop 💩 personally regular concrete would have been better looking imo 🤔🙅🤣🤣
@ronallen6578 you're right. I don't know either it's just pricing has gone crazy for everything. I don't know if things will ever come back down or how working people will recover from this inflation & greed imo
@@larryriffett918 Once prices go up they seldom go backwards. Gas, maybe. People have shown they'll pay. Why go back. Even if prices for products and or services would decline, most will not take give the public the break. It's just wrong. My son has an aeration business and he tried to not raise prices. Grass seed went stupid a few years ago and he barely raised his prices to cover the increase. Now, it's slowly and I do mean slowly coming down, but other items increased. I told him to leave things alone.
I am sorry but that red is extremely tacky and outdated looking. IMO. That would have looked so good if the center would have been done in a lighter color and a dark border with the heavy stone stamp or heavy stone stamp border with herring bone center with a different color. Great craftsmanship though. To each there own.
Can't say I'm a fan of brick pattern (basket weave, whatever) with saw cuts running through it like that. Can't you cut the saw cuts with the pattern instead of through it. Destroys the effect you're trying to achieve, in my opinion. I'd want that entire slab removed and replaced with those marks going opposite the pattern I chose. Gross.

I agree with you, Tom, demo was always my favorite part of a job. You never know what you're going to find!
Do you remember the garage from hell with the extra room under it?? They sure didn't expect that😢😢😢

Love seeing you and or your boys on the rod, best I've seen, appreciate the hard work content, keep it up. Plumber from Hudson Valley NY🤙🔥
It’s so cool to me to see a front discharge mixer, I met the pioneer of the design several times as a child growing up. They were built in my hometown
You and your guys are concrete artists. Your work is top tier.
That was a cool looking project! Any day Steve! Priceless!
Couldn't quite hear Steve's response?? Was it constructive ya think?? 😅😅

Your background music on this video is inviting and enjoyable. It makes watching the content great.
It seems to be one of the most played. It's bouncy😅😅
Ok you guys out did yourself man the red and the pattern driveway is sweet
That red brick is one classy look. Beautiful work gentlemen!
That red brick pattern is awesome. I didn’t know you could get concrete that red!

Nice job as always. Love that herringbone pattern.
Awesome job and the red turned out very nice!!
Watching that pour sure gave me a craving for Red Velvet Cake!!
I can’t wait to see the results of the diamond pattern !!
man guys thats a whole lotta work for sure
Dang, that driveway is a thing of beauty. If it was mine, I would just sit out there and starre at it. LOL
Thanks, I love these projects
Nice job Tom. I like that hairing bone pattern also
Awesome Video as Always!!!
I got to see this finished project in person. Boy, does it look sharp!!!
Very cool thanks
Good job guys and sorry for the comments the other day meant no harm
Tom that pattern you called a basket weave I believe that's a herring bone pattern a flash from the past from the 1970's / 80's something.
That is a very nice look, you guys do some quality work!
26.14 Tom's mask 🤣🤣

Tom, that red and the added diamond design is really nice. Befitting a house like that. 😮
That looks great
Basket weave was very detailed. I'm different. I don't think I would've done the red brick in front of the house. To each their own.
Man i bet Donnas busy just going around and looking at the jobs ahead of time and figureing out what the jobs going to intail.
I haven’t had any trouble with lamp posts, gutters and carports are a different story. 😂

Nice Colonial home.
V Great job looks super
Is there a reason you use gravel for the base instead of road pack which includes the fines too? Road pack packs amazingly well.
Question: How and when did you start your own company? Did you start it from the ground up? Purchase from a previous owner? Inherit? Etc.
Boss tell the saw cut guy to wear PPE a dust mask not a T shirt. don't give him a choice to wear it or not . Great work !
GOOOOOOD
MAAAAAAAAWNIN YINZ GUYZ!!….
Tom you talked about red being tuff , blue not much easier
Or you could use one of those beaker breaker attachments on your skid steer to break up the old concrete.
Always great work ... thought you would put a diamond in center of main red landing too ... opposite of the red to tie it all together
We went over a couple different ideas
How far from job site accepts your demo material? Do they recycle it? Quite a process and add on to contract. Love content and care to each unique job site.
Great video! Question: What factor determines whether or not the pour includes rebar and/or mesh?
Tom on the landing area did you run conduit under the gravel, for in case they want lights on the otherside
No, we did it across the driveway the skinnier section
Hard to believe ? Donna knows how hard you work ,so.do we you're a good man Charlie Brown
Not a fan of the red, maybe if took a tiny paint brush and colored the mortar joints cream, but I do like the herringbone. Blessings

Just curious - how do they get all that red out of the mixer so the next batch is not affected? Thanks.
I was thinking the same thing they must have to roll some aggregate inside that they use all the time to get rid of the dye.
@@larryriffett918That and a bunch of water several times?? That would make an interesting little short 😊😊
Also, the plant will send the next batch to a footer job, ie...some where if there was any color left, no one would see it.

I say that quite often bear with me we will get there
There something about turning the big 60 that takes away energy and O-2.
There was concrete under the brick? Is that the way it usually laid?

5 inches

Why no compactor?
Very solid ground
No mesh under the diamond?
Looked like a pimped out driveway, but it is their $$$.

Tom and his crew have shown me options I would never have known about. Like the old PGA saying, "THESE GUYS ARE GOOD" 😂😂
Cool! You wouldn't know that wasn't real bricks.
Seems odd that they wouldn't replace those steps, they look like crap.
Not basket weave, herringbone 😅

I can't believe people will spend all that money on a new driveway & leave those pit- iful steps in place. SMH
