This has got to be one of the best creations ever made, it sends you on a trip like no other. 20 years on, whether you're drunk or high, ain't nothing like it. Such nostalgia.
Everytime i smoke marijuana, my mind goes like this (media player visualization), but with images of the real world. Like forests, cities, etc etc etc. My mind goes reeeally far hahahahahh XD
I was in reception in 2011-12, and the computers were still on XP, and I loved the patterns. When they updated to windows 7, it was so disappointing (they're still available but unfortunately not the default)
I remember when my dad would play Collective Soul and Gorillaz and such and I would just sit in front of the computer for hours watching this, absolutely hypnotized.
my dad used to download music from napster and then listen to it in winamp with these playing full screen alllllll the time--this brings me back TYSM for uploading this without sound 👏🏻
i wish i could go back to those times where my uncle would play an old disco music with this background on his laptop and the air is still refreshing and it feels so comfortable to sleep anytime
wow! Me and my friends used to smoke pot, listening to music and just watch this! It was amazing how certain colours changed your mood! Thanks for this and thanks for the makers of Geiss for the memories
I remember my history of art teacher was so facinated with this visualization that appeared at the end of a presentation. It was like a beautiful peace of art for her, she reacted as if she was seeing a Masterpiece in the most expensive and elite museum ever. So funny.
I wonder if your teacher had synesthesia? There are many types, but she may have actually heard the visuals. Not the accompanying song, but the song of the accompanying visuals.. which probably sounds bonkers to someone without synesthesia lol. She may also have been able to feel the patterns (could explain the art history career path?). I'm the former, and this music-less video is SO LOUD (in a good way). If it was back when this tech came out then maybe it was just the coolness of it...because back then it was really forking cool tech. Either way she was correct: it's a beautiful masterpiece, and I can't stop watching! :)
Dude there is a lack of chill visualizers like this...i enjoy playing vinyl records and having my tv going with some cool visuals...sometimes videos of stock footage...but I wanted some simple stuff like this too...i remember Windows xp had a similar look but no one has a vid of that one for hours long....most are crazy as fuck
I've had this account for probably 9 years, and all the effort I've put into other videos haven't gotten 1-1/4 of the views of something I didn't even create... this sucks. But, I guess if it makes people happy, that's good enough.
I remember when I was sitting next to my brother wathcing him play Command and Conquer generals and Stronghold Crusaders and then jsut watching this for a bti while taking breaks .... god its good ^^
Fondly remember, me and my pals throwing VJ gig at local disco venue using two PC´s, winamp visuals and a primitive video mixer way in early 1999 -2000 when Pentium III and AMD K processors were released. great times!
When I was little, my sister always played downloaded music, I think from ¿Ares? well, whenever a song was played, these "animations" appeared and I could spend hours watching that.
I remember listening to Bon Jovi and Carrless whispers with this... I also remember the skins you could get for the media player, and how scary the Head one was
This looks a lot like the Shpeck + MilkDrop plugin for the foobar2000 media player! What i like about that plugin is that they use vector graphics so you don't loose definition even in super high resolutions. Love it! :D
The golden age: Winamp, Kazaa, WinMX, IRC and XDCC, rotten, movie took days to download, cd roms, vhs, floppies, nokia. Damn, I miss that time. I did some compare towards now and our digital life as kids/teenager was so much more healty. Also, times were quite better respect to now.
I spent hours with winamp. Knew only most of the code, so i could've done better. Some of them were insane. Riding a roller coaster? Who would've thought
Try checking Windows 95/98/XP screensavers, the pipe one is especially nostalgic to me.Or you can try checking Playstation ones too, even more modern ones gives similar vibes.

this shit reminds me of listening to music on my old pc where it would have these visuals that get effected by the music there was this and one where it was a grass land and a as paint ass sheep that you could click and it would turn into a cool sheep and stuff
Take me back to this time. Life was so much easier.
Congrats! You got liked by the creator.
@@angrybirdschuck How you know that?

The nostalgia from when they played songs at school and being mesmerized by the patterns and colours

I remember putting in my Thriller CD and particularly playing PYT and being mesmerised by this. Such nostalgia
Watching this while playing my own music and high is the most satisfying combination I have ever discovered
This is all I did in college at 2am listening to Phish, what an idiot I was. No wonder I ended up with 2.6 GPA.
