Can you elaborate on putting down the color in an order that makes sense ( around the 12:40 mark) ? How does one know the right order to lay down the colors?
Hi there, absolutely! The order I put down the colors from start to finish was very deliberate. There are times when you may want to start with a toned canvas or with your darks, but I started with my lightest lights because I wanted to keep the color really clean and uninfected by any of the darks. So in cases like this, where you have a bright light (whitecaps on waves might be another example), it's actually beneficial to start with your lights and then work your darks up to them.
Thanks for sharing. The knowledge with painting the candle will help with painting campfires as well. Great demo
Thanks for watching! And yes, absolutely, it applies!
Thank you for sharing, I am often telling myself I don't have time to paint and this disproves me, so thank you for that 🙏🕯
Glad it was helpful!
