Well Done but at 14:09 you say the gain knob controls the intensity of the beam. In most of the machines i’ve come across that’s not true. In most machines the gain controls how much the returning echoes are amplified on the screen. The Power knob controls the intensity of the beam being sent out into the tissues.

He mis-speaks. It should be 1.540 mm/microsecond (hence why the conversion for MHz works well). @8:38
The speed of medical Ultrasound in soft tissue is 1540m/s
Masterful lecture. Comprehensive and insightful. However I must point out the comments at 8:11 are false.
1520 meters does not convert to millimeters upon dividing by a thousand. You multiply by a thousand. Also, 1520 m/s does not convert to 1.520 mm/ms. It stays 1520 because it’s a ratio.
