Thanks for sharing the adventure, even though it was a tough one. You started off with a very good one and I was thinking that you guys were gonna smash some big ones. But that's part of fishing. Im in cburg and i got a good spot for you for prespawn and spawn upriver by hardy gotta have high enough water or we can only get there if its full or above normal pool but if it is they spawn there 3 plus largies and smallies and caught both my pbs there on a jackhammer but you can catch em on the blackwater side right now prespawn jerkbaiting and a little secret bait that always works god bless and good luck wish i had a boat i go with my uncle on his ranger every week on my days off but hes cut back alot due to his age but we fish claytor mainly its making a comeback
Powerswitch 1/4oz 2.5 inch in white wizard its a must for scoping like your doing it even works in ponds it will hover right over there head and u can work it like a jerkbait or stroke it off the bottom like a lipless it does vibrate too you can feel it 10lb braid to 6lb fluoro its my go to now over the flatworm on a dropshot and baby goat texas rigged
