ive noticed the comments (myself included) actually want to miss the playoffs this year. if we can make it to week 1 without dak getting paid, then there might be hope. bc ik dak will play like garbage against most of the teams this year (since there are many playoff teams in it). hopefully we let dak walk and there will be some hope, but its pretty much just waiting out this year.

@@trentbatemanThat will take away ANY hope of anything more than they have already been w/him there. And they won't have anywhere near as much cap to do anything with as they already had a shot with. If they sign Dak,it means trading Parsons for as much draft capital as possible so they have SOMETHING to hopefully acquire any talent with! You want Dak as your QB on less talented teams? The special guys at the most vital position in sports don't start 2-5 in playoffs in first almost decade on stacked teams....in a weaker NFC....and constantly get worked as favorites at home. Its a locker room culture that plagues the Cowboys. As Michael Irvin perfectly put it, "Winning begets winning and losing begets losing." There are far too many players on this team that are not afraid of losing their job. The Dallas Cowboys franchise has been a rudderless ship since Jimmy got fed up with Jerry's shit.

Jerry Jones said he was going “All In” on the Cowboys winning the Super Bowl. But we been saying that year after year. When was the last time the Cowboys last Super Bowl victory: 1995, nearly 30 years ago. And still Jerry runs his mouth about the team going to win a Super Bowl title. They have been a playoff choking team ever since and if it weren’t for the success of the 90’s dynasty, Jerry would’ve keep Jimmy Johnson as coach, but oh how the mighty have fallen.

I actually think the Cowboys miss the playoffs this year. I think the Eagles will win the division and that means the Cowboys will have to compete with the Bucs, Packers, Seahawks, Rams, and Bears for the last three spots. Most of those teams have easier schedules. And if you break down the Cowboy's performance the past few years based on performance against good teams, they're mid at best. In a year they play the AFC North, I could easily see them completely missing the playoffs.

There was no running game last year either, Bebe will be an upgrade at center, Tyron smith was always hurt anyways, the linebacker room is far better this year, Diggs is back, I just dont get where the collapse is coming from? Because of pollard and Tyron smith?

@@michaelclark1811 tyron played 13 games last year, as of right now beebe isn't even the starter, fyi pollard still averaged over 4 ypc so serviceable. the LB room isn't drastically better either, sure its better, but we had probably the worst last szn. there's more that goes into a collapse than just a roster with some talent. i believe we are this years chargers. sure we have a good oline, and one elite receiver, but are shallow outside of that on the offensive side of the football. it will also prob take diggs all year to get back to being himself, and bland is criminally overrated. again, the chargers had a ton of talent last year: mack, bosa, derwin, the mlb we have now lol, ekeler (better than any of our backs) a better qb, two elite receivers (granted one was out for the year) and a good te. very similar rosters honestly, and they both have locker room issues. not too mention we have a rough, and i mean rough schedule. we play the browns and ravens within the first 3 weeks (im sure we'll be embarrassed by both at home). then we play detroit, niners, eagles twice, texans, pitt, bengals, and falcons. its a bad recipe is what it is. and exactly how a team implodes.

A lot of our running problems last year were from a weak center, I legit think BeBe will be stepping in and improve things. I think Ferg will continue his ascention to one of the dominant TEs. Tolbert will be better than gallup last year, he stunk, so that will be a step up. Ceedee, Cooks, Tolbert, Ferg is a good recieving room bruh. The linebacker room is VASTLY improved, we had a 20 pound safety at LB last year, Jordan Love even said they knew we were doing dumb shit like that and they were going to exploit it. Kendricks, Overshown, Maris is a huge improvement there. Phillips is AS GOOD if not better than Hankens. Dline is still weak, but LBs are improved and I think Zim promotes a more disciplined form of football. The secondary is still bonkers, great corners and safeties. Along with everyone having contract disputes, Dak and the rest of the offense will either play out of their minds this season as a last hurrah or blow it and be eager to move on. There is no in between with this team. That's why I don't even want to begin to predict the floor for this Cowboys team.

Having lost travis frederick who was top class to career ending injury, biadasz was a great fill and offered decent protection.
What dallas fans were less than happy about with Biadasz was his ineffective blocking for the RB.
Theres no way Dallas could pay him what Washington have and he was the weak link in a 4 All Pro OL. Tyron is gone but he and Zach are likely HOF bound. Tyler came through last year to really show what he was Ist rd pick for and Terence Steele pre injury was excellent. Hopefully Steele is allowed to play as he did pre injury as apparently some technique changes were tried last year and it never clicked.
Im more worried about the backfield. Our LB and safety combo nonsense never worked when the clutch came, and after losing LVE again an early career ending neck isssue couldnt be resolved and im still not sure how the secondary will work out even with Diggs back.

Good video sir. I agree that they have to prove a lot in the playoffs. They haven’t yet. But, If you watch tape against GB, they lost that game because the defense was terrible. The offense was slow to start but they never had a chance because Quinn got exposed. Zimmer won’t be as stagnant in his scheme and I think that will result in less boom or bust from the D.
Statistically I think the offense will be a little worse but not by much and the defense will be a top 3 unit.
I think their WR core is better this year than last. Zeke is not going to be RB1. Running back is worse but the line may be better at run blocking than they were. Marquise Bell is playing 3rd string safety/dime not LB this year. Overshown Kendricks and Clark will be the LBs.
All that to say, my optimism doesn’t exist until they show me. Never been one to think it’s ‘their year’ but last year was a super low point. They had a great path to the championship game Ave lose to SF and they couldn’t get it done

Last year (2023), I thought Dallas overperformed. The defense had glaring weaknesses (poor inside rush defense). So unless the offense got off to a hot start, the defense would not match up well. The offense also had a weak rushing attack with poor short yardage ability. In the playoffs, when they did not get out in front of GB, all their weaknesses were exposed.
This year it is hard to evaluate how well they will perform. They have a new DC and knowing how well the young talent will perform through a long schedule is not easy to determine.
It will be fun to see how it all transpires.

I've the Cowboys as one of the upcoming season's biggest disapoinntments/underachievers.
The talent is there, but the vision is a little suspect, especially on offense. And I also think the defensive losses, especially Dan Quinn, will matter more than people think. It's still likely a top 10 unit, as Micha Parsons is a beast and there's enough remaining pieces to keep it a very good unit.
Offense is where I'm very worried. It's not even a talent concern (running back and to a degree 0-line nonewithstanding) I just don't think it's gonna be that inspired of a unit and they are going to massivally underachieve relative to talent and too much will be asked of the defense because of it. In short Mike McCarthy is losing this team much in the same way Brandon Staley lost the Chargers last season.
In the end, I think the Cowboys don't even finish above .500. I see a 6-8 win season despite the fact they are on paper more talented than that.
I also think the Cowboys will use such a diastious season as an excuse to move on from Dak in the offseason. If this is wise or not is a debate in it's own right, but I nonetheless think that is what they are going to end up doing.

The talent when it comes to the Cowboys is and has been incredibly top heavy. Not getting good production from depth has been a killer in big games. For example the receiving room. Ceedee Lamb was ranked 4th among WRs in average separation. The rest of the receivers on the team didn’t even crack the top 80. To put that in perspective, while Green Bay doesn’t really have a prominent WR1, all of their receivers were ranked inside the top 60

It will also be interesting to see if they don’t start Tyler Guyton and take the chance like they had to with Tyler Smith. Cowboys potentially have a really good young O line if their two rookies play well. Depth at DE and DT is concerning but I think Zimmer will make the defense even better.
