As an industrial designer by trade I enjoyed every minute of this long video!. I really love all the thought you put into every small detail. Details add up to make an amazing skate. I'm not even in the market for skates but I think I might buy a pair anyway! Also love the design line between the soul plates. It breaks up the large volume nicely and adds a dynamic and fluid feeling to the skate. Definitely a unique and aesthetically pleasing feature and it even encourages customization.

Hello sir i hope u get this message!!! I just watched a 12 min video with u talking about u owning snd creating standard omni skates. Ive seen ur older videos and i had no idea your the guy who does standard!!!! I own 4 pairs of aggressive inline skates but not standard. Ive had my eyes on ur skates for awhile always wondering...ive heard of heel pinch and washers that weren't done correctly..but then ive heard of super awesome feedback too!! Firstly i LOVE THE LOOK OF UR SKATES!! and having watched many of ur videos and today i watched your standard company video well definitely going to buy a pair of your skates as soon as im ready to add my 5th pair of skates which will be in a couple or few months and im doing this cuz i really just want to support ur company. U seem like a real down to earth and genuine man. And u make a great great product!!! I just want to support ur vision anyway i can. I own a razors custom cult, a razors andrew broom pro skates, the Iqon AG10, and the gawds tim franken. I'll be ready to own a standard omni very soon. I wish u amazing success on your dream. If there is anything i can do to help hit me up. Im 45 yrs old very low income due to a disability now but i had some amazing careers in modern and hip hop dance and being a hairstylist, marketing director, and a clothing line at Neiman Marcus i designed. However when i became disabled i lost everything. My life got hard very hard. But i got back into skating a year ago. I skated from 97 to 2006. Now im back. And im working on a new dream myself!!! Be well good sir and ill be praying for u and ur company and years of innovation and joy and fulfilling success!! God bless u homie!!
Since you're releasing the 3D printing model for the base of the boot, could you sell a hollowed out version that would act like a sizing tester? They could be printed when ordered or printed via Shapeways or other services.
I love the concept of the company and the skate. I love the sizing chart too, though I need another 2-3 mm on width to actually fit my wide foot without being 2 sizes too long. Another "standard" thing you could do for the community is set up videos or pages that help with painting or dying the skate parks and official tutorials for the heat molding. Trying to dig through the web to find those things is really inconsistent and the results are sketchy. Having the people who know the materials also suggest the best paints or dyes would go a long way. Also, please add that note about the width not applying to the sizing charts.
It is! He said every complete comes with anti. If you buy flat you get antis and technically a second set of wheels to use. Also they are the same 58 as the Chroma team 58. So they are really nice stock wheels.
@@BacktoBlading I just didn't know that the flat version comes always with four antis. Glad to hear that. I never skate anti rocker but live to try it out. I was never hyped so much for a new skate. 😃
so nice! congrats! cant wait to try! Is there difference between the two colors in regards to hardness? thinking of support/flex in boot and friction on plates? And is there plans on making a compass frame with longer wheelbase (like 270mm) for 80mm but with wheelwells and possibility of maybe 88mm wheel (as you described with the compass for 72mm)? Loads of thanks for all your hard work and your passion for BLADES!!
My pre order is in. Thanks brother. Just one question. You said you can fit an 80mm wheel on the 70mm compass frame. Which is mind blowing. Amazing idea. What’s the max size wheel you can fit on the stock frames and stock soul plates. Is it possible to get a 64mm in there, or even better a 68mm. I want to use some bigger wheels for vert. Lol. I have 68mm Kaltic frames I can use. But if I can get the frame hight a little lower I would be even more stoked than I already am.
@@BacktoBlading thanksss. yeah. I didn’t think of that. Pretty obvious now you say it. Lol. Appreciate the reply and the hard work. Can’t wait for the skates
He said frames and wheel will not be sold separately. Maybe on some liners. Hopefully more tshirts come out. There’s still a few on balance distribution.
ALSO: if one were to drill off the cuffs... how were the cuffs designed? were they designed similar or with inspiration of other existing cuffs? would LOVE if the cuffs were interchangable with other brand cuffs. woul fit right with that thought of making this skate your own with the parts that you already own and love. espcially since cuffs are a vital part of the skate. some might prefer stiffer cuffs. some might want softer material cuffs... and then some might want higher cuffs. maybe in the future you can provide these (aftermarket?) as youre providing multiple shock absorbers.
Hi Law, congrats on the new skate! I will certainly get a pair although I'm right between medium and large in length which is annoying. I have an unrelated question - I recently made a a rollerblade fusion into aggressive by adding a blank soul plate, do you know if the boot compound is more soft/flexible than the blank or solo? They feel very soft but I don't know what the blank/solo are like
Hey Law, will there be any info on how we can request RollerWarehouse to swap white souls for black? The Omni customizer led me to believe it would be an option on Balance Distribution. (I totally understand why not though, that could end up being a lot of labor.) Also, you mentioned Standard being an earth tone company, was that perhaps a hint at skates the colors as the shirts? A forest green would look amazing!
You should be able to request it, they might need a day or so to get them online. I know there were some Issues with their system. Worst case you can fully customize with our site, swapping souls is $5 since it takes some time
ALSO: Are the boots ridable without soulplates when mounting big wheel/wizard frames onto them? as it is the case with the seba cj2 prime plastic boots? maybe consider this for a future iteration of your boot. id love to see a mechanism that constitutes for a rigid boot to frame connection that provides more suüpport than just ufs screws onto a potentially too thin boot footbed. maybe make this thicker and instead the soulplates thinner? just a tad of a shift to all the hardware stays compatible.
Hey Law, I am going to be getting a complete. Additionally I’m also considering getting 8 of the 56mm 50/50 wheels as my flat setup. Do you recommend the stock frame with the 56mm?
Comparing to fr ufr, are the omnis lighter? The plastic looks pretty similar. Also the fr ufr are kind of rigid, do you think they are more flexible laterally? Also, my feet are 275. Do you think they can fit in the "42"/M shells considering the angle created by the shock absorbers? Otherwise i may pass, but overall, as wverybody, the skates look very good, they seem to be a great deal. I really want to try them and support the hard work you put on those!
@@BacktoBlading thanks for the feedback. I'll do my best to support your dedication by buying a pair! Now come the more difficult time: the choice! Edit: sometimes colour has an influence on the flex. Is there a difference between black and white?
Will just the shock absorbers be available for purchase? I would really like try them in my Faction skates. I'm currently using some FP Insole heel saviors but they feel like they're too short. I think these would feel much better since they're ergonomic.
@BacktoBlading my( roces rl1 medium liner) fits well in the 295 large shell print out any thoughts on if I should go with the 295 shell or the 282 shell?

I may have missed, but would be REALLY helpful to add some info about fitting (width and instep) It LOOKS like it will have standard width (D) (or even narrower than that) and low instep (akin to Shift). Is that an accurate representation ?
@@BacktoBlading Appreciate the effort. The way ski boot fitters measure this from one side of the back of your heel, around and over the instep, and back to the other side. If that distance is about the same length in centimeters as your mondo size, in other words ~26.5 cm for a mondo 26.5 boot, you have an average height instep. A low instep would be less than 25.5 in this case, a high instep would be more than 27.5. But this relationship is usually informational based on the bootfitter's knowledge of what brands and models work well for high, low or standard insteps. I have a small length (255 mondo), high instep and wide feet, the best way is to provide you info on my current skates and how they fit since you've skated all of them: 908 small with an intuition v2 medium is the best fitting skates I've ever had (most of my other skates I've had to size up). My PS Next even after sizing up and using an Intuition v2 Medium still hurts my feet (both on instep and width). My Seba CJ Carbon size 40, gutted and with an Intuition Premium 25.5 works well on instep but starts to hurt the side of my feet after an hour or so (could be a tiny bit wider).
@@BacktoBlading just ordered myself a pair and I cannot wait to combine them with the recent yellow compass frames I got from you a few months ago. You're an innovator, Law. I am beyond excited to get my pair of Omnis. Thank you for the reply and clarification 🙏
Hi! If it doesnˇt bother you much could you please tell, how much does the boot weight without soulplate? If i will ride them without one,as a freeskate option, since i have few ufs big wheeled frames, but iˇam also tall and hebi, should this shell be stiff enough for me? Iˇam about 90kg. thank you!
So if the frame tnut is flush with the boot and requires a longer than usual frame bolt then this will cause difficulties with frames that may use low profile bolts. For example, are the oysi frame bolts going to be long enough?
The T nut is flush in the inside, the head of the bolt is on the other side: under the top part of the frame. The geometry of the head will be adequate depending on frame and wheels, but any M6 screw will work with the T-nut.
Ok so ware do I order my pair I want ur liner a white shell whit black cuffs is it possible to get that or na ??? I’m a 27.5 cm can I get size 9 shell bc the 10 would b to big got skinny ankles, can I purchase them today ??
Like how do they compare in depth (space between the top of your feet and the top of the shell) and instep depth (from your heel to the front of your ankle) compared to other brands? For example I have a pair of Rollerblades that I have to put an extra insole insole in to fill out the extra space, while on a Roces M12 I get lace bite because of the lack of depth / shallow instep. In hockey skates depth and instep are often discussed when comparing fit of different brands.
Ps u shud make a real premium skate. Have that offered with all high end components. Ur skate here is superb but some may call it a pro model but offer a all high stuff with a price about 400$ to 500$ or more. They wud sell like hot cakes . I swear!! Intuition liner or a myfit, a real nice boot that isnt too specific but high end finish and nice accents and fine touches like a brushed finish and beautiful hardwear, the best of frames that most folks already love and pro USA made wheels in both anti rocker and flat. But offer a 200$ liner with all this stuff and i think ur skate wud be the flag ship model the iphone 14pro max of skates the diamond and gold level skate etc. i think the standard omni is a 14 K gold skate. but offer a platinum with diamonds skate and ull explode with purchases. It wudnt be easy but anything worth Alot never is!
I still don't understand why new brands like them or mesmer do raised heel skates. it makes absolutely no sense. extra plastic, extra weight, no space for shock absorbers.
Law casually revolutionising the industry once again.
The plastic locking buckle and riveted cuffs are hugely underrated. Both outstanding decisions 🙏

We’re working with a factory that has made our frames for 4 years and makes a bunch of other skates. They’re great
is there a database of what liners fit well and what size for each shell?
Not yet, but that’s a great idea
Question on the whites, do you think they would take rit dye well?
I wouldn’t mess with it, but they’re your wheels, ha
@@BacktoBlading I mean the white shells
is standard an aggressive only company? or will you be making other skate styles?
The Omni is our first skate. But I love all sorts of skating. Aggressive focused for sure
Nice..!!
honestly, it looks sick without the soul plate
The skate of the Gods
This may sound silly but I can just take the liner and throw it in my oven I use for cooking to heat mold to my foot???
Correct, most heat moldable liners are like that. Just keep it low as your oven will go and put it on a baking pan so you don't burn anything.
Iˇam about 90kg. thank you!
I’ll have to weigh them. Can you message me on IG or elsewhere?
So if the frame tnut is flush with the boot and requires a longer than usual frame bolt then this will cause difficulties with frames that may use low profile bolts. For example, are the oysi frame bolts going to be long enough?
You’ll need longer bolts
@@BacktoBlading yeah, but certain frames have custom bolts for low profile of head diameter. So just thinking that this could cause some issues
The T nut is flush in the inside, the head of the bolt is on the other side: under the top part of the frame. The geometry of the head will be adequate depending on frame and wheels, but any M6 screw will work with the T-nut.
Any timeframe for when we get to find out who is on the official team?!
November!
Ok so ware do I order my pair I want ur liner a white shell whit black cuffs is it possible to get that or na ??? I’m a 27.5 cm can I get size 9 shell bc the 10 would b to big got skinny ankles, can I purchase them today ??
Preorders Saturday, shipping in November. www.standardskate.co
What size shell are you skating? I don't think you mentioned it. If you did I missed it.
I’m on the Large, 44
I thought so, just wanted to be sure. The large's look great. @@BacktoBlading
What is the frame high from the soul plate to the top of the h block groove
Not sure off hand. It’s a max 58mm wheel though if that helps
Would have liked to hear about the depth. No one talks about it for some reason.
Which depth? I can measure for you
Like how do they compare in depth (space between the top of your feet and the top of the shell) and instep depth (from your heel to the front of your ankle) compared to other brands? For example I have a pair of Rollerblades that I have to put an extra insole insole in to fill out the extra space, while on a Roces M12 I get lace bite because of the lack of depth / shallow instep. In hockey skates depth and instep are often discussed when comparing fit of different brands.
looks like thems and thrones had a baby
How do the stiffness of the Omni’s cuff compare to the Them 909s?
909 are typically more flexible but it depends on the model
@@BacktoBlading thanks Law!
hey sir what are those skates above your head to the right? i cant tell
🔥
are the buckle riveted too?
Yes, subject to change though
What is the width at the widest point of the 44 shell?
How does the Omni flat setup vs an Aeon compare?
Aeon is much much easier to grind flat, but Omni would slide better on souls. Also is UFS so you can ride a Oysi or FLT4
is it supportive enough for wizardry
My guess is similar to a 909
I skated Kizer 90s with no issue but I’m no wizard. Hope to get a set to someone who can test that
🎉
What is the weight of a bootonly omni in size 40? im dying to know! ty
Size 44 are 5.5 lbs for the pair. I don’t have final 40s yet to weigh them
will you be offering them unpainted?
No, but you can always paint over or tape over
OMG the WHITE
Cmon Law... I cant get a 12/12.5 or a 12/13.😢
Well, what’s your foot in cm? If it’s less than 30cm you’re fine in our XL
I still don't understand why new brands like them or mesmer do raised heel skates. it makes absolutely no sense. extra plastic, extra weight, no space for shock absorbers.
Mesmer reused the Throne, so they were stuck. Then I think wanted to improve the 908, not change it dramatically.
If anarcho-capitalism was a thing, you might be that.
Ha!
SIR,
PLEASE DO NOT BE LIKE ALL THE OTHER SKATE COMPANIES AND EXCLUDE SIZE 13/14.
That’s the goal, molds are really expensive though. Will need some time to recover before we can.
hey whats the weight of a complete skate?
?😂
He says in the video: around 1750g anti.
It’s in the video, but I know it’s a lot. 1746g for the black size 44 with stock antirocker setup
@@BacktoBlading apologies i must have skipped that part. thanks
