so many videos out there purport to "teach" people to connect to a motor starting contactor yet fail to teach an understanding of the process so that people cannot diagnose when there is an issue.
you on the other hand explained just how the circuit latches to remain on so that people actually learn something. Very well done sir

that really cleared some things up for me. i paused the video and studied the wiring. im an electrician but its rare for me to wire a contactor and control wiring so i like to refresh my memory before hand. thanks.

Like every one else, thank you so much for explaining this in very simple terms a knucklehead like me can understand. I am building a new control panel for a milling machine and I had everything worked out except for how to use momentary switches for the contactor. I want to use a contactor for safety as I didn’t want the mill to be able to restart on its own if there was a power interruption. Problem solved thanks to you.

Quite good, but I must say I would like to see you connecting it, to the motor, or whatever you want to use that system for.
Actually, I was thinking of using it with a bench-saw, my normal switch has broken, so I was thinking of making a kind of control box, and I thought I could put an Emergency button, and the on/off buttons, and the contactor would be for extra caution. Well, thank you for your help and I hope you make a video, showing how to connect the power to the machine. 👍👌

Good day sir, I really appreciate the good wor you're doing, I have a question, the red wire is supposedly the life wire (24v), but you passed it through the stop button first and looped to the green button, which means the green button got it's supply by looping from the red button, does it mean the red button is continuous even though it's not pushed ??
