    Talking about the model 40 All-Crop....Allis didn't take Deere to court over the design of the 40 being carried over to the Deere line. After designing the 40, Allis built a prototype straight-through 60. Performance of the straight-through 60 was nowhere near equal to that of the production 60, so the project was scrapped. However....Allis sold the design to Deere, and for the first couple years, the Deere model 12 combine was just the Allis prototype, painted green. Later on they made a few changes, but the design was largely based on the Allis prototype.

    It is amazing that they had round balers in the 50's but nobody thought of "supersizing" them until 50 years later... But then I guess you could say the same thing about square balers.

      My understanding was that Allis Chalmers sold the patent to Vermeer and they made the first "supersize" 5 ft. baler. The only large baler you could get until the patent ran out was a Vermeer. Can any one verify this story or have further/correct details?

    On the WC what is the little lever for on the gear shift?

    • @JandLVideos
      @JandLVideos  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There's a tiny lever on the shifter you press to open the slot for reverse if that's what you mean?
