Also the renaissance Disney aesthetic with the character designs. Goes well considering Disney has made many movies about the brothers grimm fairy tales in the past

It hit kid me like a truck, and I think it's criminal that Swiftpaw's fate isn't mentioned more often in-universe; similar vein to my feelings of how 'A Shadow over Riverclan' is a fantastic manga, but _jesus christ that character development SHOULD HAVE BEEN in the ACTUAL MAIN SERIES BOOKS and not a spin-off like 11 years later_ . Like, thank god for the Swiftpaw animations and projects, bc that entire plotline with Tigerstar and the dogs doesn't get nearly enough credit for just how horrifying a fate that would be, and the gravity of just how far he was willing to go. The only thing I've come across really focusing on what would have happened had the plan not been rumbled in time to evacuate everyone is the 'Tiptoe through the Tulips' horror m.a.p., focusing specifically on a Thunderclan who was completely blindsided by the dogs, and a Tigerstar realizing that the reality of his plan was so much more brutal than he anticipated and that he no longer wanted this, but realizing it far too late

This is so whimsical and bittersweet, I teared up the moment they left ONLY cause I knew what happens to them both, there’s some gentle unfairness to it, especially with how kind and courageous they act towards one another. Everyone did such a good job of conveying that sense of adventure ^^* .... Also!! The host chose an orchestra piece for this map, which was honestly brilliant with the entire aesthetic of it. (The sense of adventure and peril, wonder and doom, conveyed through string instruments that can always make music sound like lightning and doom. It’s so. STRIKING) What a beautiful map ^=^!! the visuals remind me of Over the Garden Wall and old Disney films.

It still blows my mind how this video tells a beautiful, heartfelt, terrifying and disheartening story without a single line of dialogue. Just the music and the visuals. A sign that nothing but pure talent was poured into the making of this video.
This gave me the chills... So creative! All the animators did amazing, and the whole concept and design of the MAP was gripping. I went on an emotional rollercoaster.
I don't know why but I feel like this could be a cautionary tale towards future generations of apprentices about why you should follow orders and do as your told or else dogs would try and eat your or something along those lines. Like older warriors/apprentices are telling the younger apprentices on why you shouldn't sneak out at night without telling anybody or else you will be in danger.
brightheart and swiftpaw are the kids that leaned back in their chairs until they fell over in school that the teachers tell other kids about to make them stop
OH MY GOD Swiftpaw and Brightpaw maps have always been my favorites and this one is definitely going on like the top 5. From the animation, to the horror elements. Everyone did such an amazing job. Not to mention the fact that it established a big bond between the two before ripping them apart. Almost literally.
Absolutely amazing! This MAP had me on the edge of my seat and didn’t disappoint! Each part was so greatly done, the story was perfect and the cute designs really made me grieve even more over Swift paw and made me feel even worse for Brightpaw... Outstanding work!! And happy Halloween!! 🎃
This is unironically the best way I have seen their story told. I could right a damn essay about this from the use of the song to the quirky character design choices to the use of color and OH MY FUCKING GOD THIS STORYTELLING IS IMMACULATE!
The length of this map really works in its favor, the build up gives time to get connected to the characters are you can see their personalities for a good while as they're wandering about. Makes it way more emotional when they get ripped to shreds at the end
I love the energy of this map. The whole ambiance and the design choices were absolutely perfect. I love how Swifty and Brightpaw look like characters from a children’s book with their rosy cheeks and little bows. The ending was heartbreaking, and incredibly animated. Their story is one that can be retold countless times and still have the same effect on people. Well done to all the talented people who brought it to life
I know I'm late but the build up to the first showing of blood ( 6:02 ) was done so well, to someone who hasn't read the books it would probably be so shocking in a otherwise Disney kid friendly look it hides behind. And the fact they leave out the part of CloudTail being their for BrightHeart (lostface) It just shows her crying, thinking she's a monster and being reminded of the traumatizing experience.
To everyone in this Mapathon: All of you are super talented people and amazing for putting so much passion into these projects, you are the people keeping the MAP and Warriors community alive and I can't thank you enough. Your inspiring so many people, including me, to keep practicing and be the best they can be, so all I can say, is. Thank you.
Holy COW, talk about a MAP that keeps you on your toes!! The aesthetic and action direction is absolutely amazing!! When the ending struck, I felt that- it happened so suddenly, and grew so intense!! This is positively incredible- bravo to the artists and host for making this possible!!
i love how much of a fairy tale this feels like!!! the cute-sty stylization mixed with the gory really made it feel like on of those old grim fairy tales!!!!
This is easily one of my favorite maps in the warrior's fanworld! Love you guys!! And also at 2:30, you can clearly see Swiftpaw saying "Brightpaw!". I think that's a really cool detail I wanted to point out.
The sync to the song, the style, the colors, the movement, everything! It reminds me a lot of a old Micky Mouse show, or a Disney musical thingy. This is just amazing, I love it! Best MAP I’ve seen yet!
I can tell that all the artists put so much effort into this. The animation is impeccable and the lighting is suited to the mood so well! When it goes red you can feel that anxiety pick up, and the music only makes it even more beautiful
I love how the map kinda feels like an old cartoon just a bit darker,the music and bows and rosey cheeks just make it feels so cartoonish in a good way! This map gives these characters such a amazing dynamic and they have so mutch personality! I love this map
im not watching this but i have to say that the adorably cute thumbnail and the fancy little bows on the chubby kitties with this title just under (yep, i understand french) makes it even more creepy and horrifying. good job for a halloween map :)

i dont watch much Warrior maps but this was really awesome! felt like I was watching a Fantasia short reanimated and just letting the story be told visually without words :D
Oooh!!! I love everything about this!!! So many aspects of the animation are readily iconic (imo particularly the part where Brightpaw nods to the music and the part where the first dog shows up behind her), it uses classical music (entirely underrated), and the art direction is wonderfully cute and creepy. Definitely one of my faves
I always had the headcannon that SwiftPaw killed one of the dogs, the smallest and weakest but still ya know? I like this btw and all the creators did amazing!
This is so beautiful. The way all of you portrayed them as young and carefree. Just 2 kids who wanted to do something great, but didn't understand the weight of the situation (perhaps due to the questionable ways of raising kits in warrior cats). The way all of you spent much of the MAP getting us attached to the characters. It at first seems contradictory to have so much of the MAP be lighthearted, but in the end, it all plays into the final scene. It makes the animation SCARIER. All of the parts were so cohesive, too, especially in the beginning. I would forget I was watching the work of many, not just one. Hats off to everyone who worked on this. You did an incredible job. This is, dare I say, the best MAP I have EVER seen.
I love this map so much! It’s so creative and fun to watch! A common appearance I see in thriller movies/books is that the one who is courageous and wants to do the thing so badly always dies, while the one who is scared and concerned lives. It’s kinda sad but it’s a good storyline. Overall this map is the best!
This looks like something from the 80s, just the music and how everything lays out, this is just do perfect and I love it. I’ve never found something this entertaining till now
Oh my days. I've been highly anticipating this MAP since the call for it came out and the team here did more than deliver. I fell in love with the concepts- not only because the song is one of my favorite classical pieces but because of the whimsical atmosphere, and the creativity of the designs of Swiftpaw and Brightpaw that juxtapose their innocence with the spooky and dangerous world they decided to venture into. The art and animation is top-notch, and their attention to detail and timing is immaculate. I was smiling the whole time when I was watching it for the first time. This whole project was just a joy to experience! I really hope to see more classical music-centered MAPs in the future. Happy Halloween and thanks for making it a little more special! < 3

GOD this has to be one of my favorite maps now- everything from the music to the designs to the animation is just beautiful- this adds such a wonderful dynamic to swiftpaw and brightpaw and makes his death all the more sadder
Coming back for more review. The foreshadowing with Swift got me shivering and the editing really glues everything. Expression with face, actions, and movement never fails at any second. All of you did such an amazing job. Thank you for the truly amazing and thrilling Halloween gift.
I LOST THE PREMIERE AAAAAA³ The maps is so adorable I adore seeing Brightpaw and Swiftpaw just hanging out, also good thing she saved him from that river huh, something horrible could have happened, glad it out turned out fine ;D There are so many animators here they're so underrated they rock ALSO ALL SEQUENCES WERE SUPER GREAT BUT THAT SEQUENCE WHERE THE MUSIC JUST GOES HAM WITH THE DOGS AND THE RAIN AND THE RED IS SO GOOD
This one made me cry. Out of all the WC fan MAPs I've watched so far, only two have been able to strike me hard enough to the core to make me emotional. And that elicited reaction says a lot in how outstanding you guys made this masterpiece This one's easily going to the favorites. Such brilliantly creative minds.
this is formidable! it gives me brothers grimm vibes, the whimsical adventures taking a dark turn. giving them such adorable designs also adds to the atmosphere, with the stark contrast between innocence and horror. great touch with the background turning progressively more red, and the music choice is superb. one of my favourite maps i've seen
Pretty cool how you made up your own amazing story perfectly fitting the characters all happening before the dog fight and I haven’t seen any other warrior cats animations where the cats wear cute little bows :)
AHH THIS IS SO COOL i love swiftpaw and brightpaw, even tho we didn't see much of swiftpaw in the books. Their characterization and dynamic here is so cute!! i love the cartooney touches as well, like their eyes being all one solid color, the bows that everyone is wearing, brightpaw's curly tail! The choice of music being danse macabre is unique and really cool to see in a warriors map!!
This is definitely one of my favorite Warriors MAPs of all time now. Brightheart is one of my favorite characters, and the way this MAP manages to characterize her incredibly well with nothing but visuals is amazing. The visual style is also very beautiful and consistent throughout, despite the huge multitude of creators involved in the process! Massive congratulations to every single person involved in the making of this true work of art.
i knew it..! on the map call i commented that it would be one of my favorites, and it is! It's more heartbreaking than a lot of brightheart/swiftpaw content I've seen before, mainly because you can see them developing a relationship and caring about eachother so much on their journey.. you feel this sense of losing everything by the end where they lose their fight to the dogs. thanks for hosting this, every part really captured the style with a personal flare added to it, which is why i really love this map

I absolutely adore the animations, the story, and the way the music went with the animation. I cared about each of the characters, and I absolutely adore the unique designs made for each character. Everybody did amazing!
Danse Macabre is one of my favorite pieces of classical music and this wonderful MAP did it so much justice! It's so reminiscent of Fantasia. Absolutely awesome, everyone did fantastically :)
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS AND I MISSED THE MAPATHON GOSH DARN IT Okay but seriously this is amazing and every single one of the parts is amazingly well done. Amazing song choice, animators, character designs and storyboard. Everything about this is eye candy- Awesome job! Edit: I love the water, the rain, the tears, the fireflies, the birds and the dogs. Everything is flawless. I really love the storyline here. I like how Swiftpaw is much more hesitant and responsible, while Brightpaw isn’t as cautious. If we got a Swiftpaw little graphic novel or super edition/novel I would want it to play out exactly like this.
7 minutes and 13 seconds of pure Halloween heaven, it’s so good, I wanna hug bright paw and swift paw so much their designs are so cute!! I loved every part of this and everyone did so well!!

This MAP was the best thing since sliced bread. The part where our duo got attacked by dogs started giving me the feeling of concern. The end where BrightPaw wakes up to see her disfigured face matched well with the music.

This is the first map I’ve seen the uses classical music and I love it! Chilling. Absolutely chilling. It really tells the story perfectly. A true work of art, and the little dead body in swift paws dream, wonderful! The end had me in tears, especially swift paws death, and the thing with all the cats wearing bows and bright paws bow being ripped I saw as it showing her spirit being torn and saddened by the whole incident, I just love the whole thing overall, noice map folks! ❤❤❤❤❤❤

This is easily one of my favorite maps in the warrior's fanworld! Love you guys!! And also at 2:30, you can clearly see Swiftpaw saying "Brightpaw!". I think that's a really cool detail I wanted to point out.

The sync to the song, the style, the colors, the movement, everything! It reminds me a lot of a old Micky Mouse show, or a Disney musical thingy. This is just amazing, I love it! Best MAP I’ve seen yet!
I can tell that all the artists put so much effort into this. The animation is impeccable and the lighting is suited to the mood so well! When it goes red you can feel that anxiety pick up, and the music only makes it even more beautiful
I love how the map kinda feels like an old cartoon just a bit darker,the music and bows and rosey cheeks just make it feels so cartoonish in a good way! This map gives these characters such a amazing dynamic and they have so mutch personality! I love this map
im not watching this but i have to say that the adorably cute thumbnail and the fancy little bows on the chubby kitties with this title just under (yep, i understand french) makes it even more creepy and horrifying. good job for a halloween map :)

i dont watch much Warrior maps but this was really awesome! felt like I was watching a Fantasia short reanimated and just letting the story be told visually without words :D
Oooh!!! I love everything about this!!! So many aspects of the animation are readily iconic (imo particularly the part where Brightpaw nods to the music and the part where the first dog shows up behind her), it uses classical music (entirely underrated), and the art direction is wonderfully cute and creepy. Definitely one of my faves
I always had the headcannon that SwiftPaw killed one of the dogs, the smallest and weakest but still ya know? I like this btw and all the creators did amazing!

The way all of you portrayed them as young and carefree. Just 2 kids who wanted to do something great, but didn't understand the weight of the situation (perhaps due to the questionable ways of raising kits in warrior cats).
The way all of you spent much of the MAP getting us attached to the characters. It at first seems contradictory to have so much of the MAP be lighthearted, but in the end, it all plays into the final scene. It makes the animation SCARIER.
All of the parts were so cohesive, too, especially in the beginning. I would forget I was watching the work of many, not just one.
Hats off to everyone who worked on this. You did an incredible job. This is, dare I say, the best MAP I have EVER seen.

A common appearance I see in thriller movies/books is that the one who is courageous and wants to do the thing so badly always dies, while the one who is scared and concerned lives. It’s kinda sad but it’s a good storyline. Overall this map is the best!

I fell in love with the concepts- not only because the song is one of my favorite classical pieces but because of the whimsical atmosphere, and the creativity of the designs of Swiftpaw and Brightpaw that juxtapose their innocence with the spooky and dangerous world they decided to venture into. The art and animation is top-notch, and their attention to detail and timing is immaculate. I was smiling the whole time when I was watching it for the first time.
This whole project was just a joy to experience! I really hope to see more classical music-centered MAPs in the future. Happy Halloween and thanks for making it a little more special! < 3

this is formidable! it gives me brothers grimm vibes, the whimsical adventures taking a dark turn. giving them such adorable designs also adds to the atmosphere, with the stark contrast between innocence and horror. great touch with the background turning progressively more red, and the music choice is superb. one of my favourite maps i've seen
Pretty cool how you made up your own amazing story perfectly fitting the characters all happening before the dog fight and I haven’t seen any other warrior cats animations where the cats wear cute little bows :)

This is definitely one of my favorite Warriors MAPs of all time now. Brightheart is one of my favorite characters, and the way this MAP manages to characterize her incredibly well with nothing but visuals is amazing. The visual style is also very beautiful and consistent throughout, despite the huge multitude of creators involved in the process! Massive congratulations to every single person involved in the making of this true work of art.

i knew it..! on the map call i commented that it would be one of my favorites, and it is! It's more heartbreaking than a lot of brightheart/swiftpaw content I've seen before, mainly because you can see them developing a relationship and caring about eachother so much on their journey.. you feel this sense of losing everything by the end where they lose their fight to the dogs. thanks for hosting this, every part really captured the style with a personal flare added to it, which is why i really love this map

Danse Macabre is one of my favorite pieces of classical music and this wonderful MAP did it so much justice! It's so reminiscent of Fantasia. Absolutely awesome, everyone did fantastically :)

Edit: I love the water, the rain, the tears, the fireflies, the birds and the dogs. Everything is flawless. I really love the storyline here. I like how Swiftpaw is much more hesitant and responsible, while Brightpaw isn’t as cautious. If we got a Swiftpaw little graphic novel or super edition/novel I would want it to play out exactly like this.
This started out so sweet and slowly became more and more, creepy in a way, animators did amazing!
The storytelling in this map is phenomenal! You’re able to follow along really easily and tell exactly what is happening without words or lyrics

This MAP was the best thing since sliced bread. The part where our duo got attacked by dogs started giving me the feeling of concern. The end where BrightPaw wakes up to see her disfigured face matched well with the music.
Jeez, the end bit is just- I could FEEL The Two’s Fear There.
This is truly amazing, and it really shows how much you can do with non-lyrical instrumental pieces!

This is the first map I’ve seen the uses classical music and I love it! Chilling. Absolutely chilling. It really tells the story perfectly. A true work of art, and the little dead body in swift paws dream, wonderful! The end had me in tears, especially swift paws death, and the thing with all the cats wearing bows and bright paws bow being ripped I saw as it showing her spirit being torn and saddened by the whole incident, I just love the whole thing overall, noice map folks! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
