When the "most beautiful girl" came around I felt very self conscious. I don't think there is a most beautiful human being or alien. I have learned that we are all beautiful in our very OWN right. But this is only one things opinion in a huge universe.

nah man khia lopez goes to a middle school ten minutes from my house and my best friend attends there as well. she has my friends like everyone else, is actually rather popular, gets to host sleepovers etc like every other 13 year old girl. her parents are not horrible and forcing it upon her, she’s living a very good life.

No that is not correct. We do not need to devalue the extraordinary to appreciate the uniqueness of our fellow man. Though I do not think the majority of these children classify as extraordinary in looks or "Beautiful", some can. Some individuals are so beautiful that they do not need rich personalities. Some individuals have such beautiful personalities that it does not matter what they look like. We can be cognizant of both.
I go to school with Khia Lopez in California. The things that were said about her feeling pressure is not true. Khia has the type of personality that would surprisingly strike you. She is very funny and independent and I love her. She always makes me smile and I'm actually proud for her success. To see her in these videos and to know her personally at the same time is such a blessing

Okay I've had it I've been keeping this in for months and I can't hold it in anymore Toddlers and Tiaras should be cancelled. I mean, COME ON!! I haven't heard ONE positive thing about the show! All you hear is "unhealthy weight loss", "Botox injections", "Snobby kids", and "GoGo Juice!" You shouldn't continue a show that's getting so much negative feedback. Yes I understand that cancelling the show won't really change any of the decisions the mothers and young girls have made, and it wont stop them from continuing them either, but still. Because some people look better than others, some talk well and dress well and move well than others. That's reality. But even so, no need to feel insecure. Everyone is beautiful in one way or another (not talking about people rotten on the inside tho :) ), so acknowledge that. And if you feel like you are lacking in the present, then work on yourself. It's not a bad thing to change and try to become a better person, both outside and in.
I really hate the ideas people have created for beauty. Like, I have body hair, dark hair, and naturally tan skin. I'm hourglass shaped and I naturally have long eyelashes. I have acne and I wear glasses, and soon I'm getting braces. I wear modest clothes and most of the time my clothes are really loose and I rarely wear anything super tight. I still think I'm pretty, but why do you have to be skinny, have tan skin, wear makeup, and can't have braces or glasses to be 'pretty'?

Rosyflower back when I did studio dance, I would do 2-3 dance classes in one day about 3 times a week (obviously I don't do this anymore). It can be exhausting but it is possible to do more than one dance class a day lol

Tamara Hoveling 1600 calories are obviously not enough when a child loses ten pounds. Children need a certain amount of calories per day to help them grow and be healthy. On the other hand I don't see where the problem is with having pizza or pancakes o few times a month.
Pizza and pancakes can be made healthy and aren't bad in moderation and 1600 calories is okay depending on the child and their needs if they don't need to lose weight and need more than 1600 calories to maintain than yeah it's bad

Everyone with a good personality is worth having bonds with and are amazing but beauty is a real thing and sadly it is about the aesthetic of someone. So yeah. I think everyone is beautiful and its on the inside that counts not the outside. I think its sad and horrible that five year olds think about losing weight, wearing makeup, caring about what other people think, wearing cloths that everyone else is wearing, and thinking about boys. I have to admit I'm 13 and I sometimes think about these things but then I say to myself ''everyone is their own kind of beautiful'' which is what my mom always says. When I was 5 I played in the mud with my younger sister and sometimes I would play dress up because there is nothing wrong with that, just don't worry about what other people think about you. At that age, children are developing at an astounding rate, especially compared to adults. Between 12 months and 18 months, so much happens, and often, categories in competitions like beauty pageants are restricted to 6 month categories to help bridge the gap. I agree that it's unnecessary for older people to call their age in months, but it is perfectly reasonable for those who are new to the world.
I hate when people say everyone is beautiful or inner beauty is what matters. NO. Sure it's what matters but it's never what anyone cares about sadly. Everyone's visual even us girls. Yeah and beauty is subjective. What one person finds beautiful, other may find ugly. I go to school with Khia Lopez in California. The things that were said about her feeling pressure is not true. Khia has the type of personality that would surprisingly strike you. She is very funny and independent and I love her. She always makes me smile and I'm actually proud for her success. Like, I have body hair, dark hair, and naturally tan skin. I'm hourglass shaped and I naturally have long eyelashes. I have acne and I wear glasses, and soon I'm getting braces. I wear modest clothes and most of the time my clothes are really loose and I rarely wear anything super tight.
I still think I'm pretty, but why do you have to be skinny, have tan skin, wear makeup, and can't have braces or glasses to be 'pretty'?

Rosyflower back when I did studio dance, I would do 2-3 dance classes in one day about 3 times a week (obviously I don't do this anymore). It can be exhausting but it is possible to do more than one dance class a day lol

How do you know that they are the prettiest kids in the world, you have definitely not seen every kid in the world. We all are pretty and beautiful, it's just that not every body wants their kids to be the most famous kid in the world or the most prettiest kid in the world, and not every kid feels comfortable having everybody not looking at them for what kind of person they are or how nice they are,but for how pretty they are...

Tamara Hoveling 1600 calories are obviously not enough when a child loses ten pounds. Children need a certain amount of calories per day to help them grow and be healthy.
On the other hand I don't see where the problem is with having pizza or pancakes o few times a month.

I dont understand why people are categorized at beautiful and ugly because last i check everyone is more then beautiful. Its so crazy how people judge people on looks. I think everyone is beautiful and its on the inside that counts not the outside. I think its sad and horrible that five year olds think about losing weight, wearing makeup, caring about what other people think, wearing cloths that everyone else is wearing, and thinking about boys. I have to admit I'm 13 and I sometimes think about these things but then I say to myself ''everyone is their own kind of beautiful'' which is what my mom always says. When I was 5 I played in the mud with my younger sister and sometimes I would play dress up because there is nothing wrong with that, just don't worry about what other people think about you. Ik this is the world we live in and there is nothing I can really do about it. );

Yeah and beauty is subjective. What one person finds beautiful, other may find ugly. Being accepted by a big group of people does not guarantee someone's inner or outer beauty, it's often quite the opposite actually. Everyone is beautiful in their own way, we just have to learn that.
