I agree with you I have a remanufactured rebuilt deer 7000 just like that only has four row and I have precision meters in and they'll stand some pretty high-speed planting if I usually run mine about 3 mph now granted I don't have his amount of corn to plant some of these guys do but I found you don't push too hard don't go too fast you get a nice understand and you're a lot easier on the planter the tractor and not to mention the operator

When my dad was a contractor, here in New Zealand, we used to run 2 jd 7000 4 row planters, mainly because they were easier to get into farmer's paddocks, we planted about 6-700 acres a year with those, pulling them with jd 6410's.

Tricycle front end don’t remember if gas or diesel. That box you see on the right fender of that 686 is a am radio. There was also one on the 656. Don’t know how good you could hear it as I was too small to drive that tractor. Awesome video! Thanks

That was my dad’s tractor when we were farming, so trying to keep them in good condition. Always had red for tractors mainly, I do have a AC D17 series IV tractor I used a lot growing up, unfortunately it’s in rough shape. It’s had a lot of use over the years.

I am not sure that it is the same in US but here where I live, less and less people are willing to work in the field so the remaining farms are growing and farmers are forced to use bigger and bigger machines that are equally expensive, forcing them into debt. Yet, as we can see in this video and others provided by our favourite BTP, it is totaly possible to work with smaller and much cheaper machines - all it takes are big families that stay there to work, children that inherit the farms and continue to work there, using old machines or smaller and cheaper new ones, staying away from the debt slavery with six figure priced tractors and combines Sadly, very few stay to work the fields and produce food, everyone wants to go to big city and live and work there.

Oh wow, I didn't knew, that these tractors were build in Neuss. I was there at a factory tour in 1993 I guess when the maxxum came out, it was amazing.
But it is also closed now 😢
