Using traditional methods of measuring crude oil storage tanks is a long process, often cold in the winter. Getting accurate measurements is difficult for a number of reasons, not the least of which is the fact that generic strap sheets indicate a 400 bbl capacity when in fact, they vary slightly from tank to tank.

You check gravity on top sample. With your temp.
    Then get your bottom sample.
On normal 400 bbl tanks, add 2 for your tank temp. On huge tanks, you can add 4. Or 2 if nobody cares.

I have a hard time believing that this oil is that clean especially in winter when viscosity is thicker and doesn't separate as well, there is no way this oil is at a saltwater disposal, in my opinion staged for the video. The bottom is what usually tells the story and the load line is about 14 inches up sooo..

notice none of these videos ever show a bad tank? that's why this shit doesn't work like that out in the field

completely incorrect. and besides if it's that clean on top, check for bottoms then hook it and book it

No top gauge measurement? Woodback goes in first to middle of column and is last item taken out after getting your top and bottom sample to go down to spin them out. Your just jumping around. Go redo the video correctly.
