The halving,” a preordained event in the code of Bitcoin that happens every four years, is upon us again. Once it occurs-perhaps as soon as this month-the reward every miner receives for mining the digital asset is immediately cut in half.

Ill explain it better: every 4 years, the reward for mining bitcoin cut by 50%. 2020 was 6... now will be 3 (example). This means those who keep the network running make less, but the proce of bitcoin might increase to scarcity levels.
So what exactly is "the halving"? What will be cut in half? Number of bitcoins, value of bitcoins, number of accounts, or what? Like most crypto publicity this video is clear as mud.
