You need to find the balance between 4 things: your personal life - your job - your family - your friends ... In bad situations (you get seriously sick, you have problems with your job or within the family) good friends are most important: they don't judge you, they don't act as guardians for you, they don't meddle and they don't ask questions (personal experience in several difficult situations).

I think it’s also sad to see, how many Russians, Belarusians, Poles and Serbs legitimately hate Germans. It just doesn’t make any sense, like it doesn’t make sense for you to hate your cousin.
