"What's up dude?" being the first words spoken after news like that is actually so sweet haha
So beautiful!
I thought he said, “Awesome, dude,” which would make more sense. He even says awesome again a moment later. But I don’t understand the whole backstory.
“What’s up dude” sounds like someone contained and not being able to really express himself. I would have ran and kissed him all over and hugged him super hard. I feel sorry for the guy.
The instant hug at the beginning got me.❤
It was beautiful!
When Anthony said, "You just wanted the extra connection; you got it man," I can only imagine how much love his brother must have felt to know he had a family again. Wish we could have seen the reunion with the rest of his siblings.
It was an amazing reunion!
Man, this took guts! Proud of both of you.
A beautiful moment for sure!
AND A VERY HUGE HEART THAT HOLDS ENDLESS LOVE...
My brother took 42 years to find us. The day I met him, I knew he was ours. My Dad looked for years, and couldn't find him. His girlfriend then left the state when my Dad was in the Army back in 42. Married another man, and my Brother didn't find out until he was 8 that he was adopted by the man he thought was his father. I thank God he found us.
THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR STORY. VERY EMOTIONAL AND REWARDING...FAMILY IS SO DEEPLY IMPORTANT!
So glad you found your brother. Thanks for sharing your story!
I found out I had a half brother through DNA when he found out I was gay and a spiritualist he wanted nothing to do with me! His loss.
That really is his loss. He threw away the chance to have a brother because of his prejudices. That must have hurt you after going to the trouble of tracing him. My very best wishes to you.
We wish you all the best!
Definitely his loss. ❤️
I am saddened by your experience. Yes, it is your brothers loss by his own narrow-minded thinking. My story is also one of integrity and courage. A half sister randomly reached out to me because my first, middle, and last name are the same as that of her biological father whom she never knew. I was very specific from the start that I would not be shamed nor censor information about my life history or current partner. At first she reassured me that she loved me as a brother and my partner no matter what. During a year of messages, phone calls, and emails I had a growing sense that her claims of acceptance, tolerance for gays and support for other oppressed groups were merely hollow platitudes. Her christianity-based claims of "blood being the strongest bond" between people apparently were NOT unconditional. We simply have the same sperm source. She abandoned me terminating the connection that she'd expressed such a desperate need for as did your brother with you. I hope you are living your best life.
Absolutely his loss.
Are you kidding me????? ❤ Happy tears here for the Burkett’s!
Thank you so much!
The emotion across the face of the green shirt brother when he heard that he lost his parents 😢. And how that’s when he says he’s got a family now and gives him his name.
A beautiful moment!
What a great reunion. I have three older brothers, one of whom passed away. As the baby, they were my heroes. Still are.
Sorry to hear about your brother who passed away.
WOW! YOU ARE A BEAUTIFUL HUMAN BEING! THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING...I CRIED...MY TWIN AND I LIVE OVER 500 MILES APART...WE ARE CLOSE...SHE WAS MY "OTHER HALF" IN COLLEGE...THE ONE I KNEW I COULD GO TO...SWEET MEMORIES...BLESSINGS WITH YOUR FAMILY...

A brother's love cannot be broken it brought tears to my eyes..... I have 6 brothers and we love to get together. May you have many many happy years together.
Thank you for sharing. Brotherly bonds are amazing. Thanks for watching!
Look at me I am crying for some strangers
Someone definitely needs to bring the tissues!
Shows u human
That means you have a heart. A good heart. Be proud of that, sis!
This brings tears to me, I found out I was adopted when I was 22 yrs old. I was adopted from Germany. In 1995 I met my brothers and sisters for first time. A lot of crying went on. I have 4 sisters and 3 brothers. Every couple yrs I fly to Germany and visit them . I never did meet my birth parents I didn't want to.
"Crying for some strangers" is called: Unconditional Love🙏💚🍀
I met my dad when I was 50 and my brother when I was 55. My dad as since passed but what a lovely man. Years of searching before the internet was difficult. Military moves and oceans apart made things even harder. Bless these brothers. ❤
Thanks for sharing your story. We are glad you got ot meet your dad and brother.
An amazing story. And the fact you were both firefighters and not knowing each other at the time. So happy for you both and thank you for your commitment to saving people’s lives as firefighters and military. 👏
Thank you!
JAMES, YOU ARE SUCH A BEAUTIFUL A CHILD OF GOD!
wow, that brought tears to my eyes here , family means everything , beautiful bond ,so happy for them both
Family is everything. Thanks for watching!
Notice the pause before he could say I'm your brother. The emotion had to be so intense.
It was such a beautiful moment.
YES...
It's not often I hear good news out of my home state. This was good news indeed. Many blessing to you both and your, now rejoined, families.
Thank you so much!
I found a half sister two years ago, she was adopted and grew up with one adopted brother, now she has 5 sisters and three brothers!
Thank you for sharing. We are glad you found your sister.
I found a half sister that our mom gave up for adoption. No clue why since she kept five of us.
Gosh. I'm adopted, i did my dna about a month ago, results should be in July 11th. This gets me nervous in a good way, i don't know what doors are about to open
Hope it goes well for you. Good luck to you.
I'm sure you're feeling a lot of emotions. We wish you the best of luck!!!
I wish you all the best! I hope it turns out to be the most wonderful experience of your life!
I hope all good things for you! I’ve known my birth mother’s family for 42 yrs now and love them all.
Thanks everybody, I'm hoping for the best, prepared for the worst, but it'll be nice to have some answers to things I've wondered about. Luckily I already know why I was given up and it's a completely understandable reason, I'm excited to get to know some other details about where I come from.
i grew up with a mom that loved the world out of my brother and i, my mom was adopted and she did not want to know where she came from, she had no interest, i did, just because, we did find out our moms biological side, we are estranged from them, dont talk now, i dont really talk much to any of my family as i only talk to my cousin, its just my way of life to be antisocial, power to these guys for finding their family
Every circumstance is different. Thank you for sharing your story.
I am very touched by this meeting of brothers. Discovery of a relative with whom you share DNA is not a guarantee of an instantaneously loving unbreakable bond as this channel suggests. Addiction, opposing political, and religious belief systems can indeed negate the "blood" bond one would hope for. Meeting me bio-father and two half sisters from separate mothers was helpful in putting faces to the voids. My experience of meeting DNA relations did not result in happily ever after for us. Inflexible, judgemental and hateful attitudes of intolerance can indeed negate the entire notion that there is a truly intrinsic and enduring blood bond which supersedes all. I am not sad nor forever broken by the reality of my experience. I am strengthened by it, in fact. I wish everyone to know that by building a family-of-choice based on mutual respect one can still be blessed with the same level of joyfulness. Good luck boys. I wish for you the greatest of futures as brothers.
You right building a family by choice based on mutual respect is just as strong and loving as any family dynamic.
"One can still be blessed with that same level of joyfulness"
Thank you for sharing your story. You are right that every situation is different.
YOUR WORDS ARE GENIUS! SO SIMPLISTICALLY PROFOUND~~THANKS FOR SHARING AND FOR ALLOWING ME TO LEARN AND THINK ABOUT SOMETHING SO VERY DEEP IN OUR HEARTS, SOULS AND SPIRITS. I DO WISH YOU HAD A BETTER EXPERIENCE. THERE IS MUCH MISSED...
I am so happy for them , 2 brothers reunited 😊❤
Thank you so much!
It's a blessing. I was adopted and don't know who my birth family are and I have been looking.
We hope you are able find your birth family!
Oh my gosh! I'm still shedding tears after watching this video. Made my heart melt. So wonderful that these two blood brothers found each other and thankful for them that they are still young and can get to know each other and build memories together for years to come! What a wonderful gift they were given. I wish them all the best that life has to offer! Truly. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for your kind comments. We think it was a beautiful reunion.
YOU SHOWCASE A HEART OF SWEET TENDERNESS...THANKS FOR SHARING, PETER...
i found my entire biological family after only a few months of looking. AND we all lived in the same state..less than an hour from each other and never knew. I am the oldest of 7 now and i have 3 brothers and 3 sisters. My biological father passed in 2012 I never met him. My biological mother passed a few years ago..and thankfully we DID meet a few times.
It's crazy how you can be so close! Sorry you didn't get to meet your biological father! Sending you lots of love.
I am so happy that you were able to meet and have a wonderful relationship with your family ! You all must have such a great time together !! Blessings from California. 🌻

You have me crying here. Very touching 😢. So happy for your family ❤
We are crying over here too!
This is the first time I cried just in 10 seconds after I started watching a video... I know I have 3 brothers that I've never met from my biological father's side. I wonder I ever meet them one day.
Definitely need the tissues watching this. We wish you the best in finding your brothers.
I found a first cousin through ancestry. It was the family secret that Sonny Tenhunfeld made a married woman pregnant and abandoned them, marrying nine months after his first child was born. Ironically, she looks just like our grandmother and has the name Anne. Our grandmother was called Anna, short for Antoinette.
Thanks for sharing!
Such a beautiful reunion
We agree!
That was just so beautiful to witness- what a wonderful reunion!
It was a wonderful reunion!

It is incredible.
Speechless! 😢❤🙏 Thank you for letting us be a part of this amazing moment! ❤
Thank you for watching!
My spouse is adopted. She was reunited with her biological parents, full-blooded sister, and three half siblings in her father’s side about16 years ago. The half-siblings weren’t happy that their father had two daughters before them so they don’t speak and the father gave in to their demands to stop communication even though he was happy to meet his daughters. The bio mom turned out to be unstable. Her sister is the only one she has a relationship with. They aren’t as close as she would like them to be, but if either of them calls needing to chat, the other one always answers. You just never know how reunions will turn out.
Thanks for sharing your spouse's story. It's true that every experience is different.
Very true. I found and contacted my birth mother in my 30s. Didn’t go very well so that was over.
That’s a tear jerker clip. Please do an update of the family reunition.
Thank you for watching and for your suggestion.
I'm about to turn 59. I was adopted as an infant. I grew up just fine, in a loving and caring home by wonderful adoptive parents. However, ever since I was told I was adopted, I have often wondered about who I really am and where I came from. I just recently did a DNA test on Ancestry and was able to contact my half-sister, who is the only daughter of our mother. I'm still trying to locate and lock down who my biological father is, and the latest information says I have 2 half-sisters on that side, but I have not been able to make contact yet.
Unfortunately, the news from the people I have reached out to on both sides have told me that both my biological mother and father have passed, so I might never find out how I got my start in life. I'll still look, but I don't know if I'll be able to find out anything.
Thank you for sharing. We hope you are able to find your family!
Even though you may not ever know the whole story, it is wonderful to discover your siblings ! I am happy for you ! And I am glad you had wonderful adoptive parents who were so blessed to have you !! Love from California ! 🌻
Absolutely awesome. Its great you found one another.May you both be blessed with many years in catching up and with the rest of your family.❤❤❤
OMG ....... wishing you both all the very, very best 😊
Thank you so much 😀

EXACTLY like I JUST said, his mom is his mom, his dad is his dad, he grew up with them, they gave him their last name, they adopted him, you don't just show up and throw a wrench into everything, he already has memories, the life he led, the house he grew up in, the bed he slept in, the playground he played on, the people he knew, the games he played, the schools he went to.
4:17
No, that's YOUR name, not his.

See me crying 😊
We need someone to bring the tissues!
I was the oldest of 4 and became the oldest of 7 now!!!
Wow. You added 3 other siblings!
Cried; I have at least 1 other 1/2 brother out there, I wonder if we will ever meet, I wonder what the relationship could/can/should have been.
We wish you the best!
I have half older sister somewhere in Florida. But my father never really cared to give more details no matter how many times I asked about her. He has since passed and the only thing I have is a name and that she in the Navy.
We wish you the best of luck in finding her!
I'm not crying, YOU are crying...
Who is bringing the tissues?
this makes me sob like a baby
definitely need some tissues for this!
Yeah man me too🤪
If I remember correctly this was repeated many times for this guy; he has many brothers.
1:17
Yep, figured that one out immediately.
We just know each other.
1:49
Half doesn't count.
I grew up without siblings and it didn't bother me at all because I had friends, I had two friends who lived two doors down, we'd play in the pool together and chase the ice cream man. I had friends across and down the street who I would play football in the street and baseball in the park with. When I got home I knew that last slice of pizza would still be there, or that last soda, or ice cream bar, I never had to fight for food, or for the bathroom, or what to watch on TV. I wore my own clothes and not hand me downs.
Turns out my dad had multiple kids, none of which I knew about until decades later, one who he had after cheating on my mother when he said he didn't, and I actually believed him until I talked to her and found out her birthday, the other one I had met 12 years earlier and saw her again when I was home from Iraq for R & R. However, I don't consider them to be my sister, you see, siblings grow up together, they have life experiences together, they walked to school together, they did the same things together, went to the amusement park, the beach, played in the backyard.
Don't show up when I'm 70 years old, say you're my brother, or sister, and expect me to just break down and cry, I know nothing about you, I don't know where you came from, I don't know what kind of job you had, where you grew up, where you went to school, how many kids you have, how many grandkids. Don't get me wrong, these reunions touch me, they really do, but when it comes to me, stop the recordings, you're not going to like the results.
Every situation is different and unique. And not everyone chooses to meet their biological family members.
That’s nice. My brothers only took when I was on the edge of life. They never came to the icu.
So sorry to hear that.
@@RelativeRace_BYUtv I trust the people that see me and want to learn about cancer blindness and getting a pit bull before my health hit the fan. They are my true family.
I found out last week my sister & I have a half brother we never knew about. I am having a real problem with my parents & the fact that they knew & lied for 40 yrs. I'm 52 & my sister is 54. My brother is 46 & never knew our dad but knew he had siblings. I don't know if I will ever meet my brother OR talk to my parents, how do people get through this??
Every situation is different. We wish you the best in your situation!
