I have an edge finder, just didn't think to use it this time. Not sure what I was thinking. All of the surfaces were already machined, so an edge finder would have been easier and more accurate. Glad that you are enjoying the videos.
17:45 a couple of neodymium magnets would have helped the, sort of, three-handed setup of the milling vise greatly there. Edit: also noticed you're not using any sort of cutting fluid, when, really, you should to prolong the life of your drillbits. Just some WD40 or water/two-stroke oil emulsion will go a long way towards keeping temperatures down and keeping your tools sharp.
Tony, Thanks for your interest and encouragement. I am currently in the middle of a major kitchen remodel, and to ensure the domestic tranquility that project has taken precedence over the steam engine. Don't worry, the project hasn't been abandoned and I hope to get back to it in the next few weeks.
Fantastic work! Really good and helpful for me restoring a 10V. I held my breath as you were drilling the steam ports!
Nice video looking forward to the next one Ron
enjoyed your last 5 videos cant wait for next 5
Great video - good grief that was hard work. Well done!
Man you need an edge finder and a test indicator, I rarely use a wiggler.
Nice videos!

Brilliant work. One caveat is photocopied drawings do not always match 100% to the scale of the original. Measuring off a photocopy can be risky.
looks good. you are ahead of tinkerjohn... :D I have this same engine, dreading the build because I dont know how much more it can be condensed down.
Hi, Hope the kitchen remodeling is going well. Looking forward to you finishing the rest of the build.

very odd intro, but good video.
Where's the next video Ron?
Lose the ring from your digit if you value your digit! Very dangerous in a shop environment.
