That quilt shop is absolutely darling and is my cup of tea! So many shops now are minimalist, industrial looking and boring. This shop was so cozy and interesting!
This one is definitely filled to the brim with cute things in every corner. =)
Tell the owner of this quilt shop, and her employees, that they have done a wonderful job in creating such a beautiful place to shop, inside the store... it is full of lovely finds, all artfully arranged, but not cluttered...it welcomes you in , to all the corners, like a treasure hunt ...so warm and inviting..good job ladies!
What a lovely comment! I will be sure to do so. =)
Good morning, Corey ! Loved the quilt shop tour. Thanks for it and your cameraman did an awesome job too !!
I told him you said so!...thank you!
I laughed when you were standing in front of storage with more fabric than an average person could use in a lifetime and said you were going fabric shopping. 😄 I found it interesting how the fabric you are drawn to in the shop is very different in mood to the fabric that you design.
I know!...I so seldom go fabric shopping because I just don't need any! I'm so fortunate to receive yardage of the fabrics I design. =) And you are right...if I buy something, it is going to be different than what I already have plenty of. =) I like sewing with so many different fabrics.
I think you may not be a true quilter.
Most of us have more fabric than we could use in a lifetime. We even joke that the one who dies with the most wins! Something like that!
Lots of jokes about fabric.
One of my favorite; I don't hoard fabric. I just shop faster than I quilt!
Love many different styles/ colors. This is a great shop if you are ever in Amish country in Ohio!
@@RuthK-b5i I absolutely have WAY more fabric than I can use in my lifetime, but not as much as Corey (of whom I am very envious). 😃 There are many, many quilt shops I would love to visit in the US. I'm also deeply envious of those who have access to such great shops. I'm in Ireland and shops seem to be closing rapidly here, including my nearest one which was only 40 mins away, my next closest one also closed so it's at least two or three hours drive to a physical store which means I'm mostly ordering online instead. Current political conditions (UK leaving the EU) has made getting supplies of fabric very difficult for Irish shops and more expensive than it used to be.
Well let’s put it like this. I have almost 3 1/2 rooms (got to have place for my machines). Up to 2020 I bought 6 yards of fabric when I bought it. I also sewed and alterations and quilting. But the 2 hurricanes in Daytona Beach, FL six weeks apart put a stop to that. Charlie and Ivan got us.
But we were so lucky that we’re still alive and all our family was ok. Later in 2004 my Mom in Knoxville,TN fell and broke her ankle. I flew up there and the minute I seen here in the door I said she has Alzheimer’s. The just looked at me. But sorry I was right. We were losing our home in FL. I was back and forth to see Mom. Got her in nursing home for 3 weeks went back to FL. Got 1 of my sewing machines and as many sewing supplies as I could get on plane at the time.
Come back up here to take care of my Mom. I told my husband he could set there on the house until they would carry him out. He stayed down there for 1 1/2 yrs when it was goal day of forcloser. And someone bought the house and we got 10,000 for it we had bills to pay. Yards sales(not selling)any of my fabric and supplies. Husband rented a large moving truck we pack it to to top. Put his truck on the back of the truck and here we came. I had started getting my disability check and mom had her little one. Husband had the refill for his disability in TN. And that took 2 years. I went right to work sewing and husband stayed home with Mom. I only worked about 6-7 months but it helped a lot. She played church organ for 64 yrs. Lived to be 84.
Now back to the fabric started getting all the checks. Started buying fabric 3 yards at at time. Now 6-2024 buy 1 yard or 1/2 yard at a time. I have enough fabric to lay many yeas have enough thread. I yard will
Have to do these days. Cost of our meds etc just out of sight. But zI can still make a quilt out of a yard.
When I was buying all that fabric I had a great job I knew as I got older I wouldn’t be about to buy that much fabric. So glad I have my stash. I need a bolt of black right now. Of course I need fabric “I am addicted to it” you know how it goes. Sorry for Long 😢story. S😮
grateful for my stash. God has taken care of me.
No doing embroidery, alternating, sewing either. At 77 I’ve had 2 neck surgeries, 2 back surgeries, broke left ankle, right knee replaced. And quite a few smaller. Surgery’s so now at 77 can’t go 80 miles a day I go 4 to 5 miles. But I will see 30 minutes get up walk outside, see 30 then cut fabric pieces out, clean one small area, sew cook supper maybe sew on a good day we go big groceries shopping. Just keep going do a little at a time and if you have to stay in bed for 1/2 day or all day, it’s ok. Because if I over do I will be in bed for a longer time. And I just got. To be able to go th JoAnn shop and Hobby Lobby when they have their fabric on hand. Got tonight all
Several of the colors you loved were the same hue as your jacket! I appreciated your restraint and the fact that you didn't show us a purchase of hundreds of dollars as most of us can't make such a purchase when we go to browse a new shop. Now, maybe you DID purchase hundreds of dollars worth, but you didn't SHOW us! 😊
Just a couple days after I visited, I saw on Instagram that they had gotten in a shipment of Tilda fabrics....now that might have gotten me in trouble LOL! =)
@@CorianderQuilts 😂😂. I just learned of Tilda last year; I love the patterns, but I've yet to understand the lure of Tilda's fabrics -- especially prior to the solids collection as everything prior looks like focal fabrics only and no coordinating background/fabrics that took a backseat. They also look like they are mimicking Liberty Fabrics which are absolutely irresistible!
@@TheHawkeyeQuilter It's so nice that we can now purchase them in the US...when I started buying them, there was no where to buy them in the US!...but that was probably 15 years ago or so. There are actually wonderful basics that coordinate with them but they might have slipped under your radar. The line that is currently in shops is called Creating Memories...you'll have to check it out and see what you think. It includes checks/stripes/dots along with the small florals.
Plaid Sheep is a must stop when we stay in Sugarcreek. I love how every sample on display has a label directing you to the pattern. Everyone who works there are so delightful! Can't wait to go back!!
They have so many beautiful samples!
I was at a quilt shop when a lady came to pick up her quilt. Oh my one of the most beautiful quilts I’ve ever seen all done in creamy wool fabrics. Thank for taking us to this lovely quilt shop. That is so neat to see your aunt at the fabric shop and your bundle you picked is pretty.
Wool quilts are so pretty, aren't they!
I lived about 10-15 minutes from there before we moved to Georgia…shopped in Country Craft Cupboard for years! While on our way to Huron last time I made my husband make the stop for me and your aunt waited on me!! I’m addicted to your fabric and it’s probably a good thing I don’t live close to The Plaid Sheep….I’d be broke or Karen would have a silent partner!!
Thank you for the video & all your talent!!

Oh how fun! It's such a great spot for quilters to live in....we have so many nice quilt shops!
❤The BEST part of our “field trip” was when you were able to identify fabric designers just by looking at the bolts of fabric!! Such a creative mindset!
I loved fabrics before I knew how to sew. =) So much fun!
Love the store! You were talking about the small quilted pieces, near the pillows. Well, you have on a Jean jacket & that will be cute on the back of your jacket! Cute!
@@armetalister2634 It would be, wouldn't it!

Ryan is such a great guy to walk around the quilt shop with you and film. Thanks to both of you. I just purchased an Elizabeth Hartman pattern…Cats In Pajamas. It is so cute and I couldn’t resist.
He's such a trooper! =)

Such fun shopping with you at the darling quilt shop! I saw some fabulous sheep quilts that will want to hang out with my Woolly Stars quilt! 😉 🐑
There are so many great sheep projects there!
The minute I heard the Plaid Sheep Company, I was immediately drawn in! I love sheep!! Although I haven't started them yet, I have purchased many of your sheep patterns (along with fabric) that I could find. Now it's just a matter of time for the fun to begin. They make me smile. Loved the tour and hope you will consider doing more. I now have another online shop to add to my list! Thank you!! 🐑

Loved Kansas Trouble fabrics as well. Always love that color palette.
It's such a beautiful primitive rainbow of color!
Thank you for the tour! My mother and I would have had a ball shopping here when she was still with us. I think I'll plan a day and take my daughter here. Start a new quilting tradition. This shop looks adorable, and I see a few things I would like to purchase already.
Thank you for watching! That would be such a fun new tradition to start with your daughter!

It's such pretty wool! I always enjoy looking to see what they have. =)
Thanks for the tour. I loved it. Sheep are my favorite animal. We have raised sheep on our farm for 43 years. If I owned a fabric shop I would use a sheep theme too.
It's such a neat theme, isn't it!
I love the Plaid Sheep Quilt shop. I travel to Holmes County about 3x year and they are one of my stops. Thanks for the tour. I always hope that you will stop by to shop. The Facebook live tours they give of the shop are a hoot too! Such a fun group that work there! Fabrics are always displayed nice and love the ideas you get when in the store.
It's full of cute things!
I've been to this shop several times, and it really is this nice! I live in Ohio, up next to Lake Erie, and I love going down to the area where this shop is located. It only takes about 3 hours to get there from my home, so it's very convenient for me. I really enjoy your videos!
It's such a fun shop to visit, isn't it!
A safe way to browse a quilt shop. Thanks for taking us with you. Greetings from Beautiful Colorado.
You are so welcome!...enjoy your day in Colorado! =)
Corey I really enjoyed this video. I live 45 minutes from Berlin and I have been going to Plaid Sheep for at least 25 years since they were formerly on Main Street. I ADORE every quilt shop in Berlin/Charm/Mt Hope including Miller’s, Helping Hands, Lone Star, et al. I’m there at least once a month all year long. Also the many quilt shows during the summer and fall. Hope to see you there some day!!!!❤❤
It's a wonderful place to live (and to visit for all of the quilters that do)!
thank you for giving a tour of this amazing quilt shop. I wish I lived close enough to shop there is person.
You're so welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed the visit. =)

Thank you for featuring this quilt shop. I am excited that they have so many lovely colors that I enjoy. i put aside a wool applique project (large) some time ago, and need to finish it. The greens are perfect for all the leaves in the border I need.
They have so many great wools!
I enjoyed my visit to Plaid Sheep last year and will be back. A great quilt shop!
It's such a nice shop!
Absolutely adored this beautiful Plaid Sheep Quilt Shop. I still have my sheep pattern for your quilt design and would love to make it. I think it is because I’m stumped about what fabrics to choose.
It's such a beautiful quilt shop!
Love the video Corey😊❤ It’s so nice to see the shop tours and hope you get to some more for your viewers. I love Lone Star, Mrs. Miller’s, Plaid Sheep, Zincks, etc. Me and the hubs get over and camp (about a two and a half hour drive from Bellefontaine) and he goes to Keims and I visit all the wonderful quilt shops. I love it over there especially during the fall! It’s definitely worth visiting Berlin Ohio!!
Oh yes!...you aren't too far at all. =) We do have so many nice quilt shops to visit. And the husbands tend to enjoy Keim quite well! =)

@@CorianderQuilts lol i guess so…were coming off of a lil heat spell
Oh my. This was one of my favorite stops 2 yrs ago when my husband and I went on an antique road trip through the Amish country. LOVED this store and though I was inspired to start crafting using wool, I have not yet tried it.
It's such a cute shop. =)
So much fun! Thanks! ❤
You are so welcome!
That was such a fun video!!! I love those quilt shops that actually carry fabric! Most carry very little fabric, but TONS of sewing/embroidery/longarm machines. We finally had a little quilt shop open out in the boonies that is much like this one your took us to visit! I LOVE it!
I'm so glad you enjoyed coming along for the visit. =) We have so many wonderful quilt shops nearby and it was fun to share one of them with all of you. =)

Love Plaid Sheep - it’s one of my favorite shops and Suzie and Karen are always wonderful to visit with. I bought a gorgeous fall flannel quilt kit there on a recent shop hop and it’s on my short list to get done. 😊 I’ve had a couple quilts quilted there now and your aunt does a beautiful job with them.
It's such a fun shop isn't it Christi!...I also needed to drop something off at Somewhere Sewing this week and had a nice (but quick!) chat with Debi. =) We have so many great local shops, don't we!
@@CorianderQuilts we are blessed with the best shops! I stopped in at Somewhere Sewing last week for my backing and binding for the upcoming sew along. I love visiting with Debi, she is always so encouraging.
It was fun seeing a quilt shop thru a fabric & pattern designers eye!!!
They are always fun to visit. =)
Such a cute shop. Glad you talked about the charcoal fabric. Went right to the website and ordered some. “Dearly Loved” is on my agenda when I get home from vacation!

It was a fun one to film and share as well! =)
Good morning !
Good morning!
What a fun tour of a great shop! I quilt, of course, but have come to LOVE wool applique! No edges to turn, and the colors are so saturated and great : ) I enjoy handwork, and so I find this to be so fun to just cut out pieces without patterns, and the sew them to a background. I hope you try it! Thanks Correy!
I really need to. I have the prettiest little stack just waiting for something pretty to make. =)
I love watching you. You are so interesting
Thank you so much!
Starberry is so vibrant and pretty!, fun having a tour! Love your videos always. Thank you for sharing
Thank you so much!...and thank you so much for watching!
Such a nice store. I love a quilt shop. I get overwhelmed trying to choose fabric, so I often go for the precut bundles.
Precuts are so handy!
What a lovely, inviting, and well-stocked quilt shop! Too far away for me but I’ll definitely bookmark their website. Very interesting tour!
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
That was fun!! Too many choices. So hard to choose. Fabric is my weakness!!
