I went into our genealogy and couldn’t believe I was a direct descendent of one of the most famous Salem witch accusers. How great: I’m kin to a 17th century Karen. 🤦‍♀️

I really hope people are not leaving his grave without flowers to send some kind of message. Because modern people are so stuck up they have no idea how it would have felt to be him back in a time where sometimes superstitions did work. He was doing whatever he could. Watching your last member of your family dying had to be so hard. Then trying to save them and watch him still die... It just breaks my heart.

I've never heard of this. I'm 64. Watched Dark Shadows after school. They had a vampire named Barnabas Collind. Cursed by a jealous witch in 1795, he was a vampire. Dead by day, alive at night drinking blood to survive. That's all I've seen on vampires. This story is quite interesting. Never heard this before. Love your channel on utube.

On Edwin’s headstone is says Husband, so Hortense would probably be his wife.

Caitlin the mortician, told this sam story not long ago. Except when she was here, it was raining and that made the tale even spookier.
Thanks for bringing this to us on a sunnier day⚘🌹

I remember my Mum telling me she left school at 12 or 13 to mind her younger siblings (my grandfather had to tend the farm) as her Mum was in hospital for 3 years with TB. Mum was born in 1932 so not a billion years ago.

There's a family story that my great uncle died of TB in Colorado and was shipped back to Michigan for burial. When they opened his coffin on arrival, they found claw marks on the inside lid.
