Dongle madness's Andy Audio vault gave this one 90 points, Same as iBasso DC04 Pro which had been a favorite of him (and only € 119). He recommends this one if you use magnetic Planars.
Huge Mary Chapin Carpenter fan but was not aware of that album. Managed to order it on her site so thank you! The Moondrop Moonriver 2Ti is good but for me the reference at the price point is the QueStyle M15.
Just interested to know what other dongle dacs you have other than the competitor you showed in this video when you said it’s your favourite under the same price.
Another super review. My question is I got the Aune AR 5000 headphones last month. Now I'm looking for a dongle / dac to connect to my laptop. Was thinking of the cayin ru6 as I like r2r sound. But should I go for the Aune yuki or the moondrop ti that you said had a nice warm sound. I also seen your review of my headphones which made me happy with my purchase. Thanks. Seán
Aune Yuki and AR5000 when together lacked a bit of warmth for my taste. It can be EQed of course but out of the box I prefered Moonriver 2Ti in that combination. RU6 is tonally great but sacrifice some deteil retrieval compared to these two. If your budget allows, take a look at Hiby RC6 too. Fantastic device.
I like your narration style and the efficiency the words you use. I see some other non-native English speakers trying to mimic the American accent that sounds and looks annoying in many ways.
About Aune Yuki SE has open stage sounds good, the treble is extended., the sound is detailed . It's just that I haven't heard the original white aune . So I wonder if there is a difference between them
Love your content keep up the good work! I’m wondering, did you have a chance to take a look at the Hiby FD3? It looks like a very good product on paper but I don’t see anyone covering it and I consider getting it with a combination with the Aune AR5000.
Thanks for the review looks like it was worth it!? I have noticed over the years that your video and sound quality has got better and better. Would you kindly share with us what camera and microphone you are using now?
Yes this one is worth it. BTW, my setup is now Fujifilm X-10S camera with their 35mm lens. Audio is Oktava MK-012 microphone with hypercardoid capsule and Tascam DR100 MKIII recorder. Glad it shows.
They all add more drain but I can't reliably say how much since I browse trough songs, use WiFi, etc. And using screen always drain more battery than anything else. If I settle on a long playlist and just listen to it without using phone all the time, it can go several songs with 1% of battery.
I have Aune Yuki + Sennheiser HD 6XX great Combo! Oh streaming audio you can clearly hear the quality difference vs local FLAC 24bit/96k, Yuki can go upto 384K :-)
Hey ! Aune Yuki 169€ / Earmen Colibri 199€ (so let's just say that the prices are the same right now). To match exclusively Campfire Audio Vega 2020 (basshead IEM's) using 3.5 which one of the two would you recommend please ? Thank you !
Could you also review Fiio KA11 and Aful SnowyNight? Btw, loving your videos, found this channel after I noticed the dryness of Topping DX3ProPlus, you’ve convinced me to upgrade to DX5Lite, currently waiting for it to arrive.
Does anyone have an opinion of if these would be an improvement over a Node 2 internal DAC. I suspect not and that only $500 or more would be a significant improvement.
Without USB Audio Class 1 compatibility, I certainly don't want it I need "TRULY" driverless compatibility for ALL Windows Operating Systems (including XP / Vista / 7 / 8 and 8.1) as well as game consoles, not just Windows 10 which does not require drivers when using any USB Audio Class 2 device USB Audio Class 2 is a joke Who among you uses Uncompressed Audio files above 192Khz ? Who among you even HAS a single uncompressed Audio file above 192Khz that was NOT transcoded from a lower Sampling Rate ? Who among you has ANY modern DAC that sounds better @ 352Khz than it does @ 88.2Khz ? Yeah......I didn't think so USB Audio Class 1 DAC's are Truly driverless AND can sound as good as ANY USB Audio Class 2 DAC when properly designed USB Audio Class 2 is nothing more than a marketing gimmick when Sampling Rate is your main criteria for buying USB Audio Class 2 devices still require drivers for several Operating systems that were not tested here
YTH-cam is getting worse. Already making billions from advertising and data. Now they want cash from me too! For more and more advertising. More and more of these fu.....shorts. New horror layout. I'll be leaving it completely soon.
This is the best audio equipment review channel on TH-cam. Why? Because is honest👍👍👍
If I were in the market for a DAC, IIWI would definitely be my first stop.
I think that was just enough adjectives, actually. Thank you. Informative and as always, amusing, Always learning and laughing with this guy!
Great job. Please keep up the good work!
FiiO Ka17 review please

Does Andy have moondrop moonriver 2 ti test?
@@mvasiliev no he doesn't
Many thanks for the review
Also appreciate your taste in music and have enjoyed listening to Yo Yo Ma - highlighted in an earlier review

BTR 7 is also good as well as it has a parametric equaliser and Bluetooth.
No ! All dongles / bluetooth devices from fiio do not come close to natural and analog sound of yuki . Believe me
Just interested to know what other dongle dacs you have other than the competitor you showed in this video when you said it’s your favourite under the same price.
Did I mention, I love my Tradutto? Cool runnings

Thank you for the reply. That helps me a lot. The RC6 was also on my radar.
I hope you get your hands on Moondrop Dawn Pro…could be another budget king like SMSL SU-1 is.
I like your narration style and the efficiency the words you use. I see some other non-native English speakers trying to mimic the American accent that sounds and looks annoying in many ways.
id love an aune s9 pro review
About Aune Yuki SE has open stage sounds good, the treble is extended., the sound is detailed . It's just that I haven't heard the original white aune . So I wonder if there is a difference between them
The one to beat at this price range for me is Cayin RU-7. Wondering how the Yuki stacks up?
No. I read in head-fi, the ru7 better than yuki.
moonriver 2 ti tiene el mismo sonido analógico?.
Y en recuperación de detalles cual gana?
Love your content keep up the good work!

how does he compare to shanling ua4?
So you like both better than fc6? Your fc6 review almost made me want one, but not having a blanced out was weird for the price
No, FC6 is better than both. I don't remember if I mentioned it in this review but Yuki is equal to Moonriver 2Ti.
@iiWiReviews thanks! To me, balanced outs make a huge difference so I'm surprised you stick with fc6
Nicely Done.
When using either dac is it a big drain on your phone ?
Thanks

Yuki is a more revealing, more spacious sounding DAC. Personally I would go for it.
I think at 2.20 you meant to say balanced output rather than single ended output.
Thank you for the critique. Your presentations are always very analytical and informative.🎉

Can anyone comment on battery drain, when used with iPhone?
Is the usb c output from the phone digital? Do you need any app?
no app required to run.
Questyle
Questyle M15i please :D
With people even putting dsp in cables, if it doesn't have a portable app I don't want it.
