TBF you can make a stupid amount of gold the last two levels of the game compared to the first 3 zones. The last zone in particular drops 600 gold nuggets regularly.
I swear to god the Pilfers are absurdly annoying in this game. There really should be some upgrade that erases them from existence or just one of the pets that automatically demolishes them when they show their stupid little faces.
