Dana comes across really down to earth in these press conferences. I love his interactions with the reporters. The questions and answers seem more like a casual conversation. I don't see those interactions in any other sport.

You're half correct; people do have their favourites regardless of where they're from, but there are certain fighters who find that magic connection with 'their own people' which propels them to super stardom, Cannelo is a case in point. UFC match-making meeting live stream would’ve been a massive hit. Pretty sure someday it’ll be a part of the show.
They still have to contact the management of the fighters and get them to sign a contract. So if a fighter declines then it looks bad on them. Doubt the UFC wants to potentially ruin the image of some of their fighters as scared.

@tjkilll fr, Its an excuse for sure because it hasn't happened 1 time. If you're so big that you have trouble making Weight everytime you fight, then you need to move up a class instead of complaining. Also, moreno was better everywhere in the first fight as well, he just didn't have time to prepare, and figgy has the same tactics for every fight so he didn't need any special preparation for the fight. If Moreno hadn't broken his hand, he would've won that fight clearly we saw the momentum shifting. Figgy cant move up though, he wont have th power advantage and then he'll be picked apart by men as strong as him. Moreno definitely did some strength and conditioning for this fight.

He answered "I don't know" mostly on the questions about next fights - which are literally matched the following tuesday after the fight weekend. He mentions that every single time to the journalists. It is his full right to keep future matching under the carpet for the media for various - legit and very understandable reasons. UFC ain't U.S. rail for him to be obliged to answer every question like being responsible for the tax payer money....
He mostly says it when its about future fights. Plus, historically he's always been called a liar for speaking his mind and talking about future plans that don't end up happening. It's understandable.

Not one of the best by far, but the Brandon moreno fight, the Paul craig subs were very nice, the rest of the fights including Vettori / Adesanya and Nate / Leon were lacklusters and kinda boring.
Edit: I wrote the comment before starting the video and Dana gave bonuses to the single two fights i mentioned above as entertaining :) so yeah the rest were boring/lacklusters, not really worth PPV money, there was another quick KO which was ok, still not worth 50$ though

UFC public audio setups are the worst. They'll make fighters, anyone on stage look deaf. They can solve it easy by putting a feedback speaker on stage but never do it.

People used them for bad intentions with loud speakers the reverb kept having the volume increases causing ear drums to pop. Stupid yes but the bill did pass

That was an incredible performance, I’m a new UFC fan and didn’t know who Paul Craig was before the fight but I’m very excited for his future fights. The way he pulled guard and just handled shit on the ground was incredible.

Izzy has the look and the talk but he doesn't have the legendary performances. He's the champ and the best 185er but his marketing hype and promo work is way ahead of his game.
His kos are impressive but his 5 rounders are the most boring fights. I get it its smart but he's been on a boring fight streak. 3 I'd say. He kod Costa but his gameplan was gong to be the same boring decision point fighting. He's transitioned from ko artist to point fighter
@@niccolodeparmapanini2036 Yes, if his opponent stands still (Costa) or lunges in rather recklessly (Whitaker) he can torch them. But otherwise, he won't lead. He'll keep range and point fight and wait for his opponent to commit an error. That's fine. He's great but if his talk and hype are #1 yet his performances don't match up to the legends or other div champs like Usman, Khabib, Stipe, Francis, Jones. These guys smash people and don't need a specific style to enhance their performance. Izzy may get there, but right now his marketing is ahead of his game.
