Hey man, thank you so much for putting in the time to upload these interviews, as a hardcore NO fan seeing new stuff like this is so cool! I have scanned/uploaded quite a few NO/E interviews on imgur (username ruinedinaday) so if you're interested, please feel free to check out/share, still working on archiving a few other things (electronic interview c. '91, NO interviews). Working on getting a taped electronic interview from '95 digitized and uploaded on my channel as well. Question, do you have any info on an Electronic Video Press Kit for S/T? It was distributed by Warner Bros. around June 1991, there's a bit of info on the world in motion electronic videography page. I've read a description of the vid - it was an interview of Johnny and Bernard in a bar, w/ shots of Bernard and Johnny driving around Manchester w/ two music videos, ran for approx. ~23 mins. Seems like not a whole lot of copies were produced, hopefully it's found eventually, I'd love to see! 🙂
Hi. Apologies for late response - only just spotted your comment. Glad you liked my uploads. I must get around to uploading more stuff. I have a copy of the Electronic EPK which I grabbed from th-cam.com/video/pWGEU9WeT48/w-d-xo.html. Unfortunately, this is only 7 mins long. Will check out your images. Did you ever manage to upload that Electronic interview from 1995?
The interview is a DAT tape, haven’t found a good way to get it converted yet but i’d really like to sometime soon, there’s an address listed and “Robin Ross” is on the cover so I assume it’s a local DJ - can’t find anything online. i’ve Heard of a taped ‘91 KROQ electronic interview when they did their LA shows but i’ve yet to see/hear anything!
@@sureispure Hmm. Very interesting. Haven't heard of either of those. Would be great to hear them. Not sure how you'd get a DAT converted these days, unless you found a company that would do it for you. Incidentally, do you happen to have the following? I used to have these on tape but lost them and am really keen to get to hear them again: 'The Bill Shaw Show', NorthSound Radio, Aberdeen, 17/06/90 (Hook) 'Mark Goodier', BBC Radio 1, 12/91 (Morris & Gilbert) 'Bite The Wax', Radio Scotland, 20/03/92 (Wilson) 'Mark Goodier', BBC Radio 1, Late 1992 (Morris & Gilbert) BBC Radio 1, 30/12/93 (Hook)
Stephen is the one who has the brilliant mind and is always full of ideas. The decline of New Order soon set in, when Bernard ignored Stephen and Hooky and relegated them to backing musicians.
everyone saying this & that about signs of this or that, they were doing an MTV interview after a heavy session the night before, most of us would be looking for the exit door, probably to puke up.
It always seems like the tensions in the band were towards Peter Hook, even going back to the 80's. Stephen and Bernard seem to be finding a way to have a very sly dig at him losing his hair but still having a long hair at 4.40, if I read that right!
Interesting that Stephen says that he couldn't understand the words of teen spirit. I guess sort of true but I could barely understand what these guys are saying most of the time as their words linger or mumble. ex: 5:08, 8:22, 13:29.
According to Peter Hook's book, at this time period they were forced to come back from a short hiatus to record a new album (Republic) to essentially save the Hacienda club. Up to this point, Hooky and Barney were tired of each other and were fine doing their own projects. Plus of course I'm sure they were off it in this interview.
Cool interview
Glad you like!
This is the real New Order. Bored, upset, hating interviews, the band I used to admire in the 80's...
...cynical, fucking hilarious. I miss them.

Stephen could be a stand up comic if this drummer thing doesn't work out for him 😂😂

I wish she would have asked them about Front 242
I like front 242 but what is their relevance to NO? Genuine question.
So obviously couldn’t be arsed with each other at this point.

They are just tired and hungover, the openly have stated that they did lots of drugs and alcohol during their time.
💛🧡❤💛💚💙💜
Also at 6:01 and 6:03 ... passive agressive "somebody who s sober " .. damn
Well, he is talking about the role of a producer, so he has a valid point.
We wouldn't want a producer who wasn't sober/sober-minded either.
:-)
Very passive agressive at 14:36 from Peter ... wow
peter hook acting passive aggressive? now I've seen everything
i hated the baywatch video. why was hasslehoff in the video. i love new order, but baywatch and new order do not mix. it was a bad idea for a video.

lol true
He's also wrong when he said Katherine Bigelow didn't direct Point Break!
I think berns trying not to be sick
there is a bad vibe here. may be they are hungover.

Yes, hangover is mentioned near the start of the interview.
@17:19 I could swear I heard Gillian...
Awkward interview.
