"Don't" is a graceful and melancholic Japanese track with orchestraic elements and an elegant choreography, for which PENTAGON's KINO is the main composer and lyricist. The lyrics tell the story of a person so hurt by their past heartbreak that all colors fade to gray, they can no longer bear to hear their loved one's voice, and they feel as if they are crumbling and gradually falling apart, into pieces, as well as falling down, into hell, until they reach the limit for how much pain they can bear, and until the tears dry up. They wish to erase the love as if it never happened.
Complimented by brilliant harmonies delivered by PENTAGON's flawless vocal line, the we during the bridge hear an instrumental section featuring string instruments played by Gayeony, guitar by Kim Ho Hyun, drums by KimZion and bass by Yo Seb Son.
