At the sound of the first two notes of the song, I sing, "Mitsumete iru, kanjiteiru mimamorarete no sono mune ni" like a reflex; then after that into, that awesome guitar riff enters and the song begins. That's what "Kimi, Hohoenda Yori" is for me. I was hooked on Steam Detectives during its run on AXN in the 2000s. And this song is its perfect introduction--awesome mix of acoustic piano and guitar riffs (which reminds me of a steam locomotive). This song has a permanent place in my library.
Funny...This song was playing in my head two days ago. Then I became obsessed trying to figure out what the song was. All i remembered was I had a feeling that there's a pointy hair dude that might have been the main guy and a robot and the character is running when the song opens lol...very vague memory. I hope to watch this once I am done with my busy college life. I usually remember all the anime I watched pretty well. Don't know why this one was very vague. I went as far as posting in a forum with part of the song that I played and recorded with piano app. I am so grateful that the person on the forum was able to identify the song. I miss all the old anime. The new ones are not as good...
The best part of this anime was the opening song. Sadly I wasn't a big fan of the series but the villains were interesting. Crimson Scorpion and Le Bled are my favorite characters.
@enserio8 yeah me to, I watched Steam detectives then Watched big O. But by the end of BIG O i realized that the 2 series was only superficially similar.
